UPDATE: 3/6/2011. I spoke with the owner, Karl, of K7 services. He showed me what really happened, and that the error in selling this Big Deal after it was due to expire was 100% an Angie's List mistake. He was very honest and open with me, and for that reason, I am changing my review to an "A". His business should not suffer a poor rating because of Angie's List's mistake. Even though the work cannot be completed, I sympathize with the bad position that Angie's List put Karl in, and it is unfair to him for me to give a poor review without putting the onus on Angie's List. Karl, thank you for explaining the situation so thoroughly. I now understand what happened and it really, truly was through no fault of yours. My apologies to Karl and I wish this had worked out. I am indeed disappointed that I couldn't use his services.

Booked the service through Angie's List special. All in all a good experience. I called and left a message to schedule the service and did not hear back for a few days. I then received an email from K-9 stating they would be contacting everyone the bought the service from AL. Several weeks went by and I did not hear anything so I followed up myself and eventually scheduled the appointment. This was the only downside to the service with K-9. Otherwise, they were friendly, showed up on time to our house and did a good job.

They were punctual, and very good on giving tips on how to maintain our vents.

They were running an Angie’s List special. They were great and fine. Everything was great.

I bought the Big Deal for Dryer Vent Cleaning and called K7 to schedule an appointment. I never heard back from him after leaving 5 messages over the course of two weeks. I eventually called Angies List to get a refund because I would not use this company even if they did finally get back to me. I understand that people get busy sometimes, but a courtesy phone call to quickly touch base would be the professional thing to do. Not satisfied at all.

After purchasing the big deal tried to call them twice to set up a time for the work to be done and I never heard back from them.

They were very nice and professional. They cleaned up and did a great job.

Carl was terrific! There was a mix up with the scheduled appointment but he was here and did an outstanding job! Carl (Owner of K7) thoroughly cleaned all the HVAC system and our dryer vent then made recommendations based on his service!I can not say enough about how wonderful K7 and this business are

They were respectful of our need to get them in quickly. They responded and came the same day. They did their work quickly and without issues or inconveniences.

He came out during winter. It was through the big deal and that's why we choose him. He was fine. I don't have an experience with anyone else doing it so I think he did a good job.

I took advantage of the duct cleaning special that Angie's List had run at the end of June. As I had been warned by Angie's List, due to the large number of people that took advantage of the special offer, it took a while for us to schedule a satisfactory date for the services to be performed (not a problem, as I had intervening vacation anyway and there was no emergency involved); the company was very responsive in alerting us to the delay and in setting a date in august to do the work. On the date of the services, the young two-man crew that came to do the work arrived on time, were friendly and well-spoken, and did an excellent job not only of cleaning the ducts but also of explaining what they were doing. They completed the job within a couple of hours, with minimal disruption. No cleanup mess, everything was done professionally. The work they did in cleaning the dryer duct was especially good, as it involved them getting out on my roof (where the vent was located) and a bit of cutting of some shingles in the vent that were substantially blocking it. I'm glad I had them do this work, as there was substantial lint build-up in the vent. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the work done and the experience of dealing with this company's representatives, and recommend them highly; I intend to use them for all my future duct cleaning work..

I believe the ordered services were performed competently, only time will tell. Karl and his associate (John?) were pleasant. The big deal price was great. HOWEVER: 1. Company was overwhelmed by response to Big Deal, it took about a week to get in touch with Karl and set up an appointment, for the following month. 2. Service was supposed to commence between 11 AM and Noon on Saturday. Karl did call me that morning to say they were running late and would be at my home at 1:00. They did not show up till 1:30. 3. The following day, no hot water. Upon investigation, I found the water heater left unplugged after K7 had accessed the socket for their equipment. Not sure I would use again.

I guess Angie's List had some hiccups getting organized with the first deal and I ended up contacting K7 months late to redeem the deal, but K7 gave me no difficulties about it. It was nice to do business with a small owner-operated business. Karl (the owner) and his partner were on time, cheerful, neat, and hard-working. Karl alerted me that townhouse communities are starting to require dryer vent cleaning. Mine currently doesn't, but Karl said to just call and he'll send a certificate for the work performed if I need one later. The sanitizer had a strong flowery perfume smell that I could have done without, but it dissipated in a couple of hours.

Karl was super responsive and came in two days! He and his co-worker were very professional and pleasant to deal with. The only negative was that I wished they had cleaned up the surfaces around/below the vents afterward (there was quite a bit of dust on the floor, on tables, etc. that had come from the vents).

They were very through and clean, our dryer vent was in sad condition and they spent a good amount of time on it til it was ALL cleared and air flow was proper. VERY HAPPY CAMPER

It took 2 weeks to schedule the appointment with Karl but he was on time and patient even though I had issues getting him access to the house. He even called 30 minutes prior to arriving as I instructed him. He came and looked at the job and informed me up front that my HVAC is not in good condition for the cleaning. I needed the unit serviced prior to him doing his work so he cleaned the dryer vent and refunded me most of the money in cash. I'm glad he was honest and didn't try to clean something he wasn't able to clean. Once I get my AC serviced, I'll get in contact with Karl and get the cleaning done.

I used them because they were offering the Angie?s List deal. It was like the special that I was able to take advantage of. Overall, they were good and the price was good too. The guys did a really good job. They seemed thorough. They were pretty quick and didn?t make a mess in the house. The workers were very friendly and nice mannered. They were respectful of the house. I would definitely recommend them to others. If need be, I would use their services in the future too.

He did an excellent job. He was very thorough and he did not make a mess, they cleaned up after themselves. He was very, very courteous.

I responded to angies list special offer.. never had air ducts cleaned....was able to schedule for a saturday...didn't have to wait long ,,,came on time explained what they were going to do....very professional....work done in a timely manner....

They did an excellent job cleaning the vents and sanitized them we had a lot of dust and dirt from a recent renovation. Overall we were very satisfied with the quality of their work and professionalism.

Had minor trouble reaching them / scheduling because of big deal they were busy. really great guys, trustworthy, knowledgeable and fair. came 15 mins outside of promised window. Would definitely recommend.

Angie's List had a special on this company, which is actually why I signed up with Angie's List. They seemed to know what they were doing. They were fairly effective. I can't really tell the difference, but as far as what I can see externally, they did a good job and cleaned up well. They were easy to deal with from a customer's point of view.

Karl was professional and prompt. He came when scheduled and performed the job with consideration to my pets, home office and personal belongings. I highly recommend his service.

It went well. The appointment was between 2 and 4. They arrived a little after 4:30PM and they apologized for the delay due to some emergency. They were very professional and did a great job. No complaints and will recommend to other people. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine who used K7 and was happy with their service recommended.

Karl the owner never showed up for the job. I had a party on saturday and I had to get the ducts cleaned as I had just completed the construction. Fixed the appointment on tuesday, again confirmed on thursday. He was suppose to be their between 12 and 1, I called him at 12 Noon and he said that he is running late and will be their before 2 PM, he did not bother to inform or call me for that. When 2 came and I called he did not pick up the phone, tried to reach him 10 times in one hour but he did not pick up. Than at 4:15 some one else picked up and said that Karl is busy, (I could here party noises in the back) and that he can reschedule. WORST COMPANY EVERY STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
