Description of Work: This review is for a roof. They arrived on time and responded to every request we made. They made sure that the family and our visitors were safe any time someone had to come in or go out. They were as quiet as a roofer could be and finished the job in less time than estimated. A very positive experience!

Description of Work: American Roofing replaced the roof,the leaders and gutters and 6 basement windows on my 3 story home. There were several startup delays mostly due to the weather but the work was completed by an agreed to date. The work area was cleaned each evening and left spotless at jobs end. Punchlist items were taken care of in a timely manner. In all things I found American Roofing to be an excellent contractor.

Description of Work: Called for roof quote, they said in next 2 weeks. Emailed a month later asking what status of quote was, and 2 weeks later still never heard from them. Won't use ever.

Description of Work: Old roof and cedar shakes removed. New plywood put down and new roof installed. Insulation blown in Old siding removed, new siding installed.

Description of Work: They were so responsive to both phonecall and work. They cleaned up everything, removed all debris, and followed up with a phonecall. Couldn't be happier with this choice.

Description of Work: Our garage roof (slate) was damaged by a tree falling on it. American Roofing came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days of calling them. Peter, the foreman, was very courteous and explained what needed to be done. I liked that he said he would personally oversee the job done as it was completed, which he did. We got a lucky break with the weather. He got a shippment of slate to us within a week (Peter showed me several samples of colors beforehand which we picked together to match existing on the house). The owner, Mike DeRosa also showed up every day to check on the progress. He is professional, courteous and very pleasant. His workers are the same. They placed a dumpster in the driveway and had plywood placed under it to protect the driveway, without my having to ask. They thought the job would take 3 days, and it took actually took 2 extra days, but I added an additional section of roof to be fixed. They also did some carpentarty for us, because the tree damaged some of the soffits. We are happy with them. As to their price, I found it reasonable for the quality and punctuality. They were $700 or so more expensive than another bid (but remember slate is an expensive material), but I decided to go for the "AAA" rating on Angie's list. I would rather do a job right the first time than have to go back and do it twice! (One bid I got was $5000 cheaper , but they did not have such a good rating on Angie's list! Stay away from those!) We will definitely use American Siding and Roofing again, and I recommend them to you. PS. I Almost forgot to mention the gutters. They are very nice. They are seamless! My last gutters were pieced together and often would drip at the seam! These seem to be of a much nicer quality. They are also giving me a 6" gutter, which they say works better considering the steepness of the slate roof. (the previous were 5").

Description of Work: Mike was wonderful. We had our entire roof and gutter system replaced after storm damage. Mike was very helpful over the phone, answering lots of questions and once he started our job he and his crew were quick and efficient. My new roof is beautiful. It was done quickly and the whole crew was accommodating and respectful. When we told Mike that we did not like the way one small area came out he was back the next day with a solution that now looks great. After the job was complete we found him outside our home at 7am the next morning inspecting the entire job because rain was expected that day. This was followed by text messages to make sure all was solid (and it was through the terrible storm and downed trees). What a nice surprise to have someone care. The job is complete and fully paid and still he is currently helping with our insurance claim and all along the way has been a pleasure to deal with.

Description of Work: Installed gutters that are "leaf proof" via subcontractor. They work great --- have had to have a couple adjustments over the past 2 years but they have been responsive and done the required work in a timely fashion. American Roofing is the best --- honest and responsive --- highly recommend!
