The experience was very positive. Antonio and his team were efficient, responsive, and extremely skilled. They answered all of my questions and tailored the job to my specific needs. His team was extremely hardworking and thorough. They were also very polite and made every effort to clean up at the end of the job. I highly recommend them and would certainly use their services again, if needed.

Antonio responded to my request for an estimate immediately and I liked his promptness, suggestions and estimate. I had asked for a specific time frame to begin the work which was met. They did the work in 2 days. The workmen were polite, neat and extremely hard working. The steps look beautiful. Before, their shabby appearance was the first thing you noticed, although our house is a well maintained Dutch Colonial. Now, they enhance the curb appeal of our home and we couldn't be happier with the work of this company.

After placing calls to more than 6 companies for the fireplace/chimney project described above, 3 companies responded. All agreed to give me estimates. One company did not show up. Another company gave an estimate, but they incorrectly diagnosed the problem with my chimney. Antonio Debenedetto Construction actually answered the phone the first time I called and I was told Antonio would call me at a certain time to discuss the work I needed done with me. Antonio did call at the agreed upon time. He arranged to come out and look at my chimney the next day. He showed up on time. He told me the stones were pulling out of the wall around my basement fireplace because the hearth was settling and pulling them away with it. He was interested in doing my project and gave me a very reasonable estimate in my opinion for the work to be done. I could tell that he knew what he was doing and he was easy to get along with and very punctual and reliable so I knew that he was the right person for my job. Antonio was very easy to work with because he carries his cell phone and always answers it. The project began on Sept. 4, 2012. I was home during the first day of the project and also on the fifth day of the project.. Antonio and his crew arrived about 8:30 to 9am and worked until 4:30pm. They quickly set up a scaffold along the side of my house by the chimney and began to disassemble the chimney. Antonio noticed that my front doorstep needed to be repaired and gave me a price on replacing it which I agreed to, so the front doorstep was demolished that day as well. By the end of the second day, the front doorstep was completed with the adjacent slab of sidewalk, The roof was repaired and water damaged parts of the house were repaired. The exposed water damaged parts of the house were sealed with sheets of plastic to prevent rain from getting them wet overnight. Only a few feet of chimney could be completed each day because the mortar and cement had to dry before it could support the weight of more chimney. Inside my house they put down heavy paper on rolls to protect my carpet. They even made a paper pathway to the bathroom so they wouldn't track in on my carpet. The 53 feet of sidewalk replacement was all done on Sept. 11 and water sealing was done aroune the chimney on that day as well. That week, it rained intermittently, so his crew worked inside during the rain and outside when the rain stopped. The crew worked together beautifully. They were polite, respectful of my property, and got along well together. During the remainder of the project I had to work, so I trusted the crew to work in my absense. I allowed them to use the bathroom inside my house. Nothing was missing and everything was left clean and tidy. I was not home at the close of the project and I trusted them to clean up and lock the door behind them properly which they did. The entire project was completed on Sept 12 when they returned to remove the forms from the 53 feet of sidewalk. The workers also worked on Saturday. I am very pleased with everything they did. They did an amazing job. All of the work is beautiful and I am very happy that the original granite stone on my chimney could be reused. And, they hung my brass fireplace doors back on the brick first floor fireplace when they were finished. Antonio took photos of all steps of the project to show the building inspector so I was able to pass inspection at the end of the project. Finding a mason who could do stonework was difficult because I really don't think there are many people who know how to do it. I was really happy that I found Antonio. I would definitely hire him again.

Antonio and his team were fantastic. The process was extremely easy and Antonio started the job ahead of schedule and completed on time. i am very happy to have found this company and will use them for future projects.

I contacted this company to see if they do work in my area. They replied quickly, while it was too far for them to consider performing repair work I am appreciative of their prompt response.

Mr. Debenedetto returned initial call quickly, and came down right away to give estimate. Very fair price I think, for the amount of work - it's labor intensive removing concrete from each and every joint on brick staircase. Also considerable amount of large roots under buckled sidewalk. Came a couple of days later per our agreement, and would have came sooner except for weather.All went as discussed - took 1 and 1/2 days to complete entire job.Cleaned up completely, and even took away old roots that were chopped out. Stairs look great as do the new sidewalk slabs. Saved me a considerable amount of money by re-pointing as opposed to entire new staircase.These guys were great and I will be calling them again. You should too.

I had 3 companies come out and provide estimates. The first guy to come out gave a cheaper price but seems put off by the fact that I was having others come and give estimates as well. When I tried to contact him to have him do the work he never returned my call. Debenedetto was more expensive but they returned my calls immediately and were able to schedule my job the very next day. I am very happy with the work they did and probably would have been disappointed with the job done by the first guy since he was very professional. The person doing the work called Antonio and had me speak to him at the beginning and end of the job to make sure we were all on the same page and that I was happy with the work. He did a great job, was courteous and conscientious.

Very well, will definitely call him again.

I feel that he doesn't want to business.

I had been experiencing moisture in a corner of my basement and pooling of water in front of my garage. I had my concrete driveway replaced a few years ago and the slope was likely incorrect - causing the problem. Antonio called me back quickly. He came by within 2 day of speaking and spent time looking around the basement and also around the front of the property. He assessed that the problem was most likely related tot he front concrete slope. He mentioned when we spoke that he also did waterproofing. He was confident that replacing the concrete was the correct course of action and even noted that I did not need french drains. When I mentioned that I was thinking of getting the underground drains clean, Antonio told me that would not be necessary. He quoted me a fair price and we set a date to start work. The weather was not cooperative and Antonio called me regularly, noting that he wanted to make sure he had a dry day before laying the concrete. It ended up raining all week and I thought I would have to wait to get the work done, but to my surprise Antonio and his team showed up warly on a Saturday! Work was completed in 1 day. The team was neat and clean. Antonio completed an inspection at the end of the day and had his guys go back and correct a very slight nic in the concrete - - which I didn't even notice. When Antonio and I were discussing the project up front he said, "I'm just and honest contractor who wants to do a good job," I chuckled a bit, but in the end, that is exactly how I would describe him!

As mentioned above, we did not choose this company because another one could perform the work sooner.

I was very impressed with Mr. Debendetto's responsiveness. I accessed his website to request a quote and received a phone call within 10 minutes! His workers were careful, respected my property and did a good job. There were a couple of "fix up" items that I requested after the initial work and Mr. Debenedetto was very diligent in getting them done. I"m very satisfied with the work and would have no problem in having Debenedetto Contruction returning to perform other work for me or my family.

Everything went wonderfully. I was very happy with Mr. DeBenedetto and with his crew, who were all very hard-working and considerate. I'm very happy with my new, clean basement. In addition to all the work that he and the crew did, Mr. DeBenedetto also gave me advice on a water problem outside our house. I would gladly recommend him to anyone.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. From the start to the end Angello the owner was threr to help with every detail. I was able to call hom and he immediately responed with the proper answer. Also, his crew of four employees was just as professional and the quality of the work was excellent. The price was fair and he never asked for any more money that we agreed upon on the contract. We plan on using him next spring to repace our back so we can sit outside to enjoy our yard and have a cook out. If you need work of a mason and he also does waterproofing give him a call ASAP and get a fair estimate. You will be glad you did.

Antonio and his crew of 3 workers arrived bright and early both days of the 2 day job. They were polite, courteous and highly professional. They rebuilt our crumbling stairway from the ground up. They paid close attention to detail, checking level throughout the process, and assuring that every brick was properly set, resulting in a beautiful front stairway! The crew also took great care to not damage the surrounding property and siding. They cleaned up as they worked and left our property as they found it. My husband and I are thrilled with our new stairway and are delighted with the overall positive experience of this job. We look forward to doing more work with Debenedetto Masonry and recommend Debenedetto to anyone interested in any type of stone/masonry/paver work.
