We were beyond thrilled with Sherman Smith Plumbing. They were punctual, kind, and extremely professional. We had a few issues going on in the house and they attended to each and every one. We were given great advice about our issues and were very happy with the service they provided. I highly recommend them. Jack and Guy were fantastic. Thank you!

Totally overpriced the entire package related to purchase, removal and install of one toilet. The woman handling calls and pricing at the office was extremely rude and very unprofessional.

They came promptly and restarted the pilot light.

They didn't actually estimate everything that I had asked them to be done, and they didn't respond to me when I sent additional information to them that had been requested by the two other bidders on the project. They weren't bad; they didn't do any actual work but they just didn't respond to me. In doing that, they kind of lost it. I think they were actually the lowest bidder but the bid didn't actually include everything, I don't think. When they didn't respond or just acknowledge that I had sent them additional information, I just said well if that's the way they're gonna be, I would rather have somebody else. It was an average bid; they came around and they did an average job on the bid and they gave me figures, but then then didn't respond to me afterwards. It was kind of like take it or leave it, and I decided to leave it. The quote was a reasonable price; it was within the range that all of the bidders gave me. They were actually the lowest bid I think. I don't want to be too harsh - I had asked them for a bid and there was one other company that basically pulled out all the stops and they helped me out on some other issues. They are the ones that I eventually hired even though their bid was actually the highest of the three I got. It was a reasonable estimate and going over it later I realized that it didn't include everything and they didn't respond back to me. I just figured they were busy. They all got back to me within a day.

They were incredibly professional and expeditious. I called them on a Monday afternoon, and they came out by 8:30AM the following day. They assessed the situation, went and picked up the part, and had it installed before lunch. In contrast, Princeton Air told me it would take 2-3 days to order the part, and THEN they'd schedule the installation.

My septic alarm went off of Friday afternoon at 2 PM. I called Sherman and his crew was at my house by 4 PM. They assessed the situation, tested my existing pump and determined that it was burned out. They gave me the names of several companies to get my septic tank pumped. He gave me the option of installing the same pump the next day or waiting a few days so he could order a more heavy-duty pump, which I agreed was the best long-term solution. His staff was in touch with me throughout the next 5 days to provide status and tracking of the order. When I received some "concerning" opinions from a 3rd party who thought my septic system might be failing, Sherman called my personally while on vacation out of state to explain to me why that party's concerns were unfounded. This is a man who truly cares about his customers. I mean, seriously, WHO ELSE DOES THINGS LIKE THIS? I love Sherman Smith Plumbing and Heating plain and simple. They are the only name that I trust, and so should you. I have numerous other examples of how these guys saved me...such as coming out on Christmas Eve in the snow to clear a clog when my family was expected to arrive in 2 hours...clearing the clog...and then not charging me a dime...just wishing me a "Merry Christmas" :-) I'm a fan for life. By the way, if you need a water softener, I personally recommend the Nuvo system that Sherman Smith installed in my home 3 years ago. It works great. I replace the filter once a year and no longer have to lug 40 lb bags of water softener salt into the basement to fill a clog-prone salt-based filter.

Men were sharp - on time and did a good job. It's always easy to schedule service with this business. I've used this company for a new furnace, water heater and AC installation. They are consistently professional and easy to do business with. They've provided various services for the past 10 years. On a day I had a leaky humidifier, the owner talked me through how to stop the leak until they could get to my home. I highly recommend them. When I move, I hope we can find a similar quality provider.

Great experience. Very responsive and very professional. Really focused on top service. Sherman the owner answers the phone himself on weekends. Heat went out, called on a Sat morning and he sent someone (Edward) right over. They priced a repair. No pressure to do anything more. When I asked what a new system would cost instead of the repair, they gave us quote. Again, never any pressure. Decided to skip the repair since both systems 18 yrs old and we new we had to replace soon anyway or face ongoing outages and repairs. Work was quickly scheduled at our convenience within a few days and they completed the whole job in 2 days. They sent a full crew of workers and the job didn't drag on. One of the workers slipped and put a foot through our ceiling while installing the attic unit, and Sherman immediately personally called me, apologized profusely (as did his workers when I got home) and dispatched a sheet rock repair expert out in less than 24 hours to repair at his expense. They did a great job. Fixed and painted it perfectly and left it good as new. Look, accidents happen when humans are involved. The measure of a company is how they respond. Really couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

On first visit, made a diagnosis without actually looking at the part. On second visit, came with the wrong part (this would have been avoidable had he actually looked at the part on the first visit). This delayed completion of the project. On third visit, arrived two hours later than planned. Did not call to notify of late arrival. Thankfully, the work was completed and the faucet is functioning. The charge included one hour for a diagnostic visit, one hour for the installation visit (which required less than an hour), and 187 for the part.

The job went very well. It took a little longer than originally anticipated, but was completed in advance of the holiday, which was our primary request. Roy was friendly, qualified, and highly professional.

Was easy to obtain a follow-up appt. Z and his co-worker returned within 48 hours of original problem id. They returned at the appointed time and completed their work. Z reviewed the work with me in detail after completion.

Their office was very responsive in providing a team to do the estimate almost immediately when I called. Two people came out; one was primarily doing the furnace work, the other was the plumbing specialist. They were pleasant, professional and quick and thorough in their work. I was impressed with their knowledge of what needed to be done and what was difficult and/or easy. They seemed sincerely interested in my getting the best, most cost-effective solution. I don't expect to use them as their quote was about $500 over another quote. That seems like a lot of money when the total is under $4000. I will consider using them if I can't work out a couple of additional items with the other provider.

Most everything went smooth. The new furnace and AC unit and water heater work great. The only issue I had was there were two rooms which were not getting air. The original tech suggested that there were two openings in the basement which required new ducts. For $500 bucks we installed the new duct work. After installation the rooms were still not getting air. The tech came back out and discovered that the ducts had been cut during a previous remodel of the house and it would be more in depth than originally though. I only wish we could have chased down the ducts before I spent $500 hooking them up. As far as everything else goes, I am happy with their service and would recomend them as their pricing is competitive and they do good work.

Very well, as per usual with Sherman and his crew. Any problems, which have been few and far between, were always addressed promptly and with fairness. I only wish that all of maintenance contracting companies I have dealt with over the years showed half as much the professionalism, integrity and honesty this company displays. I highly recommend them!!

Excellent service. I called for a quote on American Standard coil and condenser 2.5 ton / 13 seer. The company was very professional and installed it the very next day. I've had no problems with the unit. Everything worked great and the staff was very professional.

They were great. I called and told them my original 1950's shower/rub was dripping. They sent a man for a free estimate. He said he could try to fix the leak (wasn't optimistic since I'd had another plumber do it and it didn't last) or I could replace the fittings and all. He was also fine with me ordering my own parts. I even emailed the main guy, Sherman, to make sure I'd ordered the right stuff and he said yes. When he came back to do the work, it turned out I hadn't ordered everything he needed (not a surprise since I have no idea what I'm doing and I guess Sherman didn't look carefully enough or didn't know what I needed to have done). So, the plumber guy said he'd go ahead and just try to fix the leak. He was at it for an hour and it didn't work. He felt bad and said he didn't like leaving a job undone and said he'd credit the hour towards the full repair. I ordered the correct parts (from ebay for $79 instead of $250!). He came back and installed it in three hours; had to replace the stems and the big three pronged brass thing as well as tub and shower spouts and handles. When I reminded him of the one hour credit, he took off one hour from the bill. I was very happy. They were fair and honest and did a good job. No more leaks!

It took 3 of them to try to figure out why the water in the master bathroom was flowing slowly compared to the rest of the sinks in the house. Started with the fact that i needed to replace the water tank since sediment buildup will impede water pressure. I kid you not, that is what he said. Then someone "with more experience" said that the input pipe was clogged and replaced it for $165, which helped the problem but didn't resolve it completely. Called a DIFFERENT plumber for another problem, and mentioned the bathroom, he took about 3 seconds to say that the tip of the faucet was clogged and cleaned it out, no charge. So DO NOT USE Sherman Smith Plumbing for any reason.

The technicians were very professional. They arrived on time and were in uniform. They put shoe covers on their shoes and put tarps down on my white carpets. Once they completed the install, they completely cleaned up and removed all garbage and packaging. They explained everything to me and answered my questions. I will definately use Sherman Smith Plumbing again in the future and I will recommend them to all my friends and family.
