This company has a huge conflict of interest. Gets hired by the buyer of a home to inspect the septic system, usually finds repairs needed, and then attempts to get the buyers to use them. In addition, when I sold my home and used them, they kept moving the date of service and then they dug up our brick walkway and moved many of the stones in a pile rather than keeping them in the order they were placed. Because of this the repair required new stones to be cut because it was impossible to figure the original layout. When I complained to Septic Managment about this their reply was that they were Septic people not walkway repair people.
Description of Work: Replaced septic tank and distribution box.

My prospective home buyer hired this company to inspect my septic system. SMG fraudulently claimed that my field had failed and, in full conflict of interest, offered to be the firm to complete the system replacement. They also reported me to the county health department. The cost they quoted was close to $50,000. Two separate, licensed, independent engineers subsequently inspected the system and found that SMG was flat out wrong in their assessment that the field had failed, thereby saving me an enormous amount of money, and the subsequent reports of a functioning system were submitted to the health department (engineer reports trump basic inspection reports). SMG conducted malfeasance in their inspection for the sole purpose of making money. I strongly advise home sellers to only work with licensed engineers who do not build or repair septic systems for their inspections, thus avoiding the conflict of interest problem. In addition, none of the attorneys and real estate agents involved in my transaction were aware this might be an issue and were not able to advocate on my behalf. So it is important for sellers to be aware of this potential fraud.

They inspected my septic system when I purchased the house, they noted an unsatisfactory water level but passed it. After completing the purchase of the house, I hired them to service the septic and they came twice a year and I had no issues. Fast forward 7-years and they inspected my septic for selling the house. They noted the high water level just like the original inspection but not as high as it was when I purchased the house. This time they failed it. Very inconsistent and arbitrary in their judgment. How can you trust them?

Jason was prompt, informative and helpful during his bidding. He described this as one of the biggest 4 bedroom systems he has bid on given the impermeable clay soil. He offered a fair and competitive bid. The installation took 1 week and the property was left in a much cleaner and appropriately sloped state then when they started. They went above and beyond addressing access (I wished to not have the 50+ loaded trucks use the driveway) and connecting the system to the house. They came back several months later to perfectly grade and seed everywhere they had previously had to dig or build access. The seeding became well established and the property has never looked better.
Description of Work: We purchased a 150 year old Victorian farm house that had been empty in foreclosure for the last 5 years. The 30 year old field septic system had failed and we needed to do a complete replacement.

Everything went extremely well. Jennifer at NJ Septic was extremely helpful with getting the estimate and scheduling the work quickly, and she stayed in contact via phone and e-mail throughout the process. The estimate was accurate, and we were extremely happy with their service.
Description of Work: We called NJ Septic Management Group to do our pump out, and they discovered that our pump wasn't working. The technician quickly assessed the problem, and we were provided with an estimate later in the day for both the pump out and the replacement of the pump.

NJ Septic was extraordinary in their service. Everyone that I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional and genuinely concerned that we had a septic issue and knew that it needed to be resolved. They immediately sent someone out to pump the tank, which would alleviate a potential serious problem from happening. An appointment was set for the following morning, 8am. They arrived on the dot and gave an estimate of problem and told me I would get a written quote later in the day, which was emailed to me. The following morning, we agreed to have the pump replaced and the electrical box rewired and scheduled it for the next day. However, they actually came later the same day in the afternoon! They had a delay in the job they were currently on so they did our repair early. When I arrived home, they were already done. When does that happen? In summary, extraordinary service, prompt return calls, did the work early and a pleasure to deal with. I have already sent an email to friends in case they ever need their septic repaired.
Description of Work: Pumped out the septic tank, evaluated the repair issues, replaced motor and rewired electrical box of the septic system.
