OUTSTANDING. I hoped for the best and prepared for the worst. They took a look at the issue and because it was not an emergency and supplies could be difficult on a Sunday, promised to come back the next day. They did (plenty of texts for status too). There was a whole heap of wrong in the plumbing in the ceiling. Copper does not age well (at least at 40) and a bunch of drain pipes had failed at various points. The guys ripped them out (access was brutal between opening the ceiling and moving appliances in the next room) and replaced with PVC. Awesome quality job and an incredible value given three guys and two vans were onsite for a while. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

Wow, great service! We had a leaking pipe from second floor bathroom with water damage coming thru sheetrock on first floor. Called on a Monday afternoon and Joe was at our house Tuesday at 8am sharp. He was prompt, methodical, informative and clean. Overall, an awesome repair job done in under 3 hours. Will hire again!

Navesink Plumbing was professional from the start to the finish. I called for a quote and Mike came out the same day to take a look at the job. When he came on site, he made sure to explain exactly what needed to be done. He was clearly very knowledgeable. 1 week later, he was able to fit me in his schedule. Mike and his team were great, They installed rough plumbing for a basement bathroom. They are very detailed oriented down to the stud. Mike even replaced a stud because we said it was warped and it will be difficult to Sheetrock and tile over. I couldn't have been more please with the great work and professionalism that Mike and his team showed on the day of the Job. They made sure to shut the door behind them and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely give Navesink Plumbing a call the next job I have!

When I realized my hot heater was no longer working, I checked Angie's list for a good plumber in my area. I called Navesink Plumbing at 6:45 pm, thinking I'd leave a message. I hoped to hear back the next day. Surprisingly, Mike answered and said he'd come by first thing in the morning to give me an estimate. He arrived at 7am and said we needed a new power vent hot water heater. My husband and I agreed to the price and Mike said his guys would do the installation in a few hours. Joe and Will came a bit later and spent about 3 hours doing the job, which included some new venting. They couldn't have been nicer. Everything was neat and the carpeting on my stairs was protected. Unfortunately, they both got stung by wasps while working outside, but finished the job without complaints. The hot water heater works great. Mike came by to see the job and filled out forms for us to get a $500 rebate! My husband and I were happy with the work, price, and fast service. We'll call Navesink Plumbing again as needed and recommend their services.

The height of unprofessionalism is forgetting a scheduled appointment and not having the courtesy to return a call. This is exactly what happened with this business. When I called back the next day, the owner acknowledged he forgot the appointment. I know this happens. However, I called after he did not show and left a voice message, asking if he still intended to show ? so NO excuse for not having the courtesy to get back to us to apologize and reschedule.

Called and spoke directly to Mike. Told him what I was looking to have done and he said he would call me back in 20 minutes. Never returned my call. This same thing happened about 9 months ago -- no return call.

We called Navesink plumbing and heating and set up an appointment time. Joe came out on the scheduled date and we showed him our list of plumbing problems. He was very friendly and professional. He replaced broken parts in both of our toilet tanks. The cold water spigot in the shower was leaking and after seeing the age of the parts Joe recommended we replace both spigots so they would match. He went out and returned with new Kohler spigots and a diverter. He also replaced a leaking outdoor faucet with one that won't freeze and crack in cold weather. We were very happy with the work Joe did and will not hesitate to call Navesink Plumbing again.

Technician, Joe, arrived within the time frame agreed upon and did an excellent job diagnosing the leak problem. We had our bathrooms renovated almost five years ago and apparently that contractor didn't do a good job with securing the toilet to the floor. This caused this leak to occur and caused water damage to the ceiling downstairs. Joe replaced the wax ring and made adjustments to secure the toilet properly to the floor. He tested the water flow to make sure the leak was repaired. Joe did an excellent job fixing the problem. He was very personable and took the time to explained what he was doing and answered any questions I had. Very professional.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional, and they managed to do all of this work in one day. There were two of them working until 2pm and then two others came in to finish the job, all four finishing at 5pm. They went beyond what we expected and I think they did a very excellent job. When I called the owner after the job was done I gave my feedback as excellent and he greatly appreciated it.

I rarely ever take the time to write reviews (e.g. Amazon)-and this is my first review I have written on Angie's List. But Michael was excellent. He returned my call in the morning, and came out same day, even ahead of time offered. I was immediately impressed by his honesty. For example he complimented the plumber who installed our hot water heater (who was unavailable till later in week for this repair). May seem minor but I thought reflected well on his sincerity. Michael had to obtain some replacement parts for the leaking shower faucet, even had to cut out some tile, yet did all quickly and efficiently. He was polite and answered all my questions throughout his work. We also had a leak in a faucet under our kitchen sink. It needed no more than a quick tightening of a nut. Here he could have claimed more was necessary and so again I was impressed by his honesty. I would highly recommend Navesink Plumbing & Heating. Excellent value and service...

Called Navesink Plumbing 8 months ago (Aug 2014) after noticing a stain/leak in the living room ceiling. After cutting the sheet rock, the technician diagnosed a leaky bathtub drain which he repaired. We were pleased with their work and all was fine until recently when we again noticed a stain on the ceiling in the same place. Called Mike at Navesink again and he promptly arrived with an assistant to determine the problem. Although we initially assumed it was the same drain leaking, this time it was actually the tub overflow that was loose. Even though they spent an hour on site and fixed the new leak, Navesink Plumbing did not charge us for the house call or their work. First time we ever saw that from a contractor. These guys are real professionals and we would absolutely use them again. Highly recommended.

He came and conquered. It is so nice to feel good about your plumber. We called at night, and the next day they came. WOW!!! No more leak. The previous plumber put the toilet together WRONG. That is why it is important to find a plumber who knows what he is doing. You trust that when a person leaves, it will be done correctly. This is the 3rd job we have asked Navesink Plumbing to do and we will not hesitate to call again. It is funny to want something to leak so you can call the best plumber in the world...Ok, we do not sit around waiting for something to break, but it is nice to know we have our plumber on speed dial.

Our 25 year old gas water heater started leaking. We got a few estimates from some of the big-name locals. We have had some unpleasant experiences with them in the past so we decided to try to find a local plumber to come by as well. We called Mike based on his reviews here - and glad we did! It was later in the day when I first called him to give the estimate, but he offered to come out that day, because it was a leak. I was not available, so he said he would come by in the am. He showed up right on time. He was very professional and personable. His estimate was the cheapest that we got. He offered to do the job that day. After we decided he came out to do the job on Saturday morning. I wasn't expecting that to be an option! Great service! Mike and Justin did the job quickly and efficiently and even threw in some free advice on some unrelated plumbing questions. They took great care to clean up any mess. We ended up paying exactly what was quoted. I would call Mike again for any plumbing need.

My water heater died because the pilot would not stay lit. It had been installed by a locally famous (or should I say infamous plumbing company) and was one month past it's original warrantee and I called them first because I thought perhaps as a past customer I would be given a lower estimate. I paid $50 dollars for the house call and was given 4 "options" Ha! I actually laughed out loud at the representative...the last option was for a huge amount of money and didn't even include the water heating unit !!! When they left I read up on water heater specs and prices available through home repair centers. Then my daughter recommended I check Angie's List. Best advise EVER! Equipped with some newly gained knowledge, I read the reviews of some of our local businesses and decided to call Navesink. Mike answered and we had a brief discussion about my problem and even though it was late in the day he said he could be over in 15 minutes!! And then he was here ! When you meet Mike, it feels like you have met a good and helpful neighbor. He is a personable guy who put me at ease immediately by asking the right questions and then listening to the answers. I had a few specific concerns which he addressed succinctly. When he told me his estimate, I was pleasantly surprised, because it was almost exactly what I thought it should be including taxes. (BTW it was less than the original plumber's "option 4" which did not include a heater! ) If it had been an emergency, or if I had requested it, I am sure he would have installed it that evening, but I wished to do the installation in the morning. I was not charged for a house call, I was not asked for a deposit! He just said "We'll see you at 8 in the morning." When I called him, right after he left ,with a question about the model heater and two of the specs,(the anode and the energy efficiency) he returned my call from his warehouse 30 minutes later. This kind of customer service is rare...!!! Promptly at 8 AM the next day, Mike was here with two of his assistants (Joe and Eric). They went straight to work and were basically done in 30 minutes. They left the basement better than they found it. I had hot water in just over an hour. While they were getting ready to leave I had the opportunity to talk with Joe as well. The exact same measure of kindness. Mike has obviously surrounded himself with the same type of professionals who know the value "people skills". MI will recommend this business to anyone with plumbing or heating needs. I am sure they are busy but they gave me their undivided time and attention (as well as patience). I was very badly burned by the other guy. It was such a pleasure to know there are good guys out there that are doing things right. This is a good, local, old fashioned small business with honest, hard working young men. They will be the only plumbers I call in the future.

They were very responsive and came out the same day we called. Everything went as planned and we are very happy with the service.

I called Mike at 8:00 pm and told him that our hot water heater was leaking. I left a message explaining my situation and Mike returned my call with in minutes. He came to the house at 7:30am the following day to assess the problem and determined that the heater had to be replaced. By 12:30 that same day, Mike and his coworker Joe were on the job putting the new water heater in. The job was done quickly, cleanly and efficiently. Mike and Joe were easy to work with and I would definitely call them again.

Returned my call immediately scheduled me for the next morning. Did a great job was really professional, tidy.

Mike was very friendly, he joked around with my son and my first impression is that he was very trustworthly. I liked that he gave me two prices, one for work inside and a second if he had to dig outside. I was very pleased that he was able to hub the new PVC to cast iron inside, saving me the costs of the second estimate. The quality of his work was execellent and he was very cautious when making connections to the old cast iron stack that went to the second floor. Even in my unifinished basement he did his best to containt he mess by putting down plastic. Mike was also very accomodating and was able to reschedule last minute to work around my business travel. I was very pleased with his work and will defineltly use him again for any plumbing work.

We called Navesink Plumbing & Heating and they were here in a couple of hours. They saw the problem and quickly brought back a new water heater and installed in a few hours. They took out the old one and brought in the new one. Kind of like the New Year. The customer service was outstanding. The previous plumber installed the water heater wrong, and had it set up to where, if the water heater went out, then we had to turn off ALL the water in the whole house. No water, no toilets, all because the old water heater went bad and the valve had to be shut off to stop from leaking on the floor. Navesink quickly set up the water to run back into the home so we had running water and running toilets FIRST before he installed the new water heater. That, was a blessing and great customer service. They saw what was most important to a family of 6 and took care of that need first. We will call Navesink back for all of our plumbing needs.
