Description of Work: Need a honest and reasonably priced plumber, then read on! This review is about Navesink Plumbling & Heating, Belford NJ 07718 [732] 673-3704 The work was done at Sherwood Courts, Matawan NJ 07747. I tried to take out a Posi Temp Moen Cartridge from a Moen Shower/Tub faucet. From people I trust [but not living near Matawan] I was told they come out quite easily over 90% of the time. Not this time as it was really stuck. Tried pulling it out 4 or 5 times with no success. On the last time the stem broke making it impossible for me to remove. Called Navesink and explained to Michael the owner what I was looking at and what happened. Told him I had a picture to sent to him if he wanted it. Sending a picture won't work in most cases but it did here. He said to send it and after ten minutes he called and told me that if he could get the cartridge out it would cost $190.00 + tax [trip charge, labor, new OEM cartridge]. If he couldn't get it out the price would go up to $400.00 + tax [additional labor of cutting out the assembly holding the cartridge and replacing it with a new one, plus the new OEM cartridge]. Told him ok and set up appointment for 1:15 pm the next day. He arrived a few minutes early. He came in set his tools down and went to work. And by work a mean he went at it like it was a personal challenge. As I said earlier that cartridge was really stuck and if he said after 5-10 minutes that it wasn't coming out and the only option now was the $400+ option I would not have argued. But he wouldn't quit until he got the cartridge out piece by piece. Nice man, honest [ left $210 on the table by not going to the $400 option ], excellent work, reasonably priced.....what more could you want. He also replaced the shower head while there. $229.00 tax included for full job. Very happy and would use him again. Call him! PS: Another plumber who saw the picture quoted me a price of more than double what Navasink quoted to cut out and replace the assembly holding the cartridge.

Description of Work: Replaced fill valve, flapper, flush valve and tank to bowl gasket for two toilets and tightened a part of leaking shut-off valve for outside spigot. Came back after one toilet continued to run and repaired that with new parts at no additional charge. Charge reflects 10% senior discount. Charge overall seemed high for the amount of work involved.

Description of Work: I had an unnoticed long-standing leak in a water pipe in the rafters in the bassement. Mike and his associate, Joe, came at the promised time and did an oustnading mob of removing the old pipes in a difficult area and replacing them with new pipes. They did it witnhin an hour, and charged me a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them to others, and will use them if I have a problem in the future.

Description of Work: He changed a toilet in matser bath. He has also installed instant hot in kitchen, shower head and pool heater. He also converted a barbecue for me.
