C&C Heating & Air Conditioning Home Performance

Got a new Lennox AC installed by C&C in May 2019. Started to having issue (frost formed on the pipe of outdoor unit, ice on the indoor coil) last week just three years later. Called C&C on Sunday, tech came in on Tuesday, insisted my outdoor unit was dirty, needed to be cleaned (extra cost > $500 on top of the $125 visit charge) in order to start to measure the pressure of refrigerant. We asked how much we may have to pay in order to get the AC back and running and he had no idea. We ended up just paid him the visit charge and found another firm to fix the AC.

I have been using them for years and they have been excellent. They are very really good and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend them.

I had whole house air conditioning added in late spring to replace window and portable room air conditioners. I contacted C & C via Costco. Lou DeFalco came out to my house and did an estimate as to what size unit I needed. His estimate was right on as I have found the house to be quite comfortable even during this heat wave. The install was completed in two days and the install team was both professional and the clean up was complete. I have recommended C & C to my neighbor who had her air conditioner replaced and told me how satisfied she was as well.

COSTCO members and any potential customer be AWARE!. Sales man was Brian Baker, he is a down to earth and friendly guy. His brother is the owner with son (Chris Baker and Chris Baker Jr.). Contract was written with no deposits but payment was to be done after work is inspected by township using Costco Credit as form of payment. The first crew was rude and impolite. The worker cut my bathroom vent and didn't even apologize. It gets worse, several weeks later my fiancee noticed that the ducts had nails piercing through the metal. Also, the inseams were facing inward, and are supposed to face outward to be treated with a special glue. The job had short cuts and was sub standard. All ducts need to be removed and reinstalled. The second crew was unable to remove three ducts they installed incorrectly. To make matters much more worse, C &C didn't file all permits as promised per contracts (plumbing was forgotten by them). Yet I was told to call the township to set dates for inspection. If you think this is as bad as it can get, unfortunatley it gets worse. I was told that I need to sign a new contract for an additional $8500.00 I had my original contracts but they decided to lose on purpose. I had copies of my original contracts. They don't stand by Costco business culture and ethics, and quite frankly have very poor business customer relations. They refused to finish the project unless I paid this additional amount. The worse experience dealing with the owners (Chris Baker and Chris Baker Jr.). His brother, the sales man, Brian Baker is scared of being fired by his brother, Chris Baker. I signed with C & C because my sales rep. was great, only to finish being just as bad as the owner(s). Do NOT trust or sign contracts. They will make you feel like a worthless person and the men that work there will gang up on you if you try to clarify as a reasonable human being. If you don't succumb and give them additional monies and stay quiet, they will walk away from the project. It has been a nightmarish experience that hasn't ended. STAY AWAY and RUN in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Charged $887.00 to add 7lbs of Freon as system had a leak. I showed him where the leak was and he tightened the connection. He was done in one hour.

Everything went smoothly and on schedule. Very neat and professional job (even inspectors were impressed).

They did a very thorough check of the heating system, they were very courteous and respectful. they did the work well and did a great job. they are very trustworthy, they give honest estimates. And they will always call ahead of time to inform you that they are on their way. in case on delays, they will inform you right away. Very responsive and very professional. It was a good experience.

Went through COSTCO membership. Chris from C&C was friendly, professional in evaluation, upfront with costs and the units to be supplied and the installation date. C&C installers Dwayne and Devon were professional did a very satisfactory job - came on time, were polite, sensitive to home environment and organized.

Great tech. Issue was with sales person. Agreed on one price, but when installer came, and after the old unit was disassembled, he noted that the wrong parts were ordered, and the correct parts would be an additional $800. I refused and the installation continued successfully. Afterwards, the salesman called and asked for the additional money, even after agreeing that he made a mistake regarding the initial estimate. When I refused, he expressed his displeasure. Again, the tech was great. Also, he mentioned that there would be a follow-up visit by a supervisor to make sure that the unit was working well, but this never happened. In summary, A+ for tech, but C for overall experience. Not certain if I'd use them again.

The C&C team arrived when scheduled, and completed the installation in two days. Very neat and professional job. (Even the building inspectors commented that the job was well done.)

All went great! they coordinated well with the roofers who needed to replace the roof once the old units were removed. very nice cooperation between both HVAC installer and roofer.

Service tech was good. The price of the part not so much. I was charged $125 for the visit and $190 for a $15 part. I would question the price before they do any work. It took two screws and 2 minutes to replace.

Wayne and Kevin arrived later than I expected but worked diligently to finish the job on time. They were polite, informative, and extremely clean. I don't expect to have any difficulties with the code enforcement officer when he comes.

This company was extremely responsive, reliable and reasonably priced (however expensive a replacement A/C is) throughout our work together. The receptionists were informative and professionals. The workmen were friendly and skilled. The management made fair business agreements. I fully recommend and very much appreciate the strong service they provided. We had an unusual A/C need/situation and they created a customized and creative set of solutions at a fair cost.

Everything went well. Fuses installed in one unit were wrong but were replaced with minimal effort. Units passed electrical and plumbing inspections.

Overall a positive experience. It should be understood that in addition to Angie's List and other external recommendations, we also considered the fact that C&C is a local company as an important factor. Pricing and options were made very clear. Technician indicated that other work may be required in order to get optimal performance from the new condenser, but none was needed. In all, 3 representatives entered our home to spec the quotes and complete the work. All 3 were very respectful of our home and family and were 100% professional.

C&C came out for to do an estimate for the ductwork. From the start the Rep said I should replace my furnace, A/C coil and water heater. I explained to him this equipment is working just fine and just want my ductwork done. He continued to hard sell me on different furnace and A/C options. He tried to find out what my budget is and what other companies quotes were. He really didn't ask any questions on the work I needed done. I felt he would sell me anything without real concern if those products are right for my house or not.

They were very good. The price was good. They put in two furnaces and one air conditioning. They were all very attentive, showed up on time and did everything within a day and a half. The workers were very courteous and professional. They left the area very clean, put down clothes and stuff on the carpeting.

C&C from the rep who came out and did the estimate to the techs who came in and did the replacement and installation were professional in every respect. The job was done within the time frame specified and at the estimated price. Not only would I recommend them, I had them replace the furnace in my mother's house a month after they completed the install at my home.

The tech who came out misdiagnosed the issue resulting in additional delays in getting the problem fixed. When we called him back to fix the issue he had a bad attitude and seemed annoyed the whole time. We then were told that the part we needed would be ordered immediately after our appointment. We were called more than a week later to ask if we still wanted them to order the part we thought had already been ordered.

The installers who came were very professional and very friendly. Not only did they let me watch, but they also let me help just a bit (turn on/off the faucets in the kitchen and bathroom, mop up some of the gunk on the floor after the old heater was removed, help getting the new heater into the tight quarters). When they left, the place was cleaner than when they got there. I have never been dissatisfied with the service from C&C over the many years we have been having them install and service our equipment.
