Pro Tech Chimney Cleaning & Repairs

Excellent job.

I got them through Home Advisor, they were the 1st company to call me. Then we had agreed to a scheduled. I took a day off on the scheduled day, and they never came. I tried calling them on that day, no answers and no callback. When we were scheduling the work, I told them to not come on a Saturday, but they came on a Saturday and wants charge me more for coming on a Saturday. I called their office, the same lady I spoke with when we schedule the work picked up the phone, she said that I didn't have a schedule with them, they don't have the record that I have called for a schedule. The lady was very rude and hang up abruptly.

They came out on time and were well dressed, looked professional. The tech doing the cleaning of the fireplace laid out something to protect the carpet and got to work. The other tech went outside to inspect the chimney. He came back in with pictures saying that I needed to have my cap and a couple of other things that were missing replaced. He said it was going to be around $375. I have my chimney cleaned every year and no one has previously mentioned my fireplace missing these pieces. As soon as I said I was not going to be paying for the repairs he and the other tech packed up and left. I asked if they had finished cleaning the fireplace/chimney because they were only there for 10 minutes and they said it was cleaned. It usually takes around 30-40 minutes to clean a fireplace and chimney so I called them back to request the before and after pictures to confirm they had actually cleaned the chimney. The receptionist I talked to said she would call the techs and call me back. Four hours later I hadn't heard anything so I called back and no one answered the phone, so I left a very detailed message. I called again this morning and again no one answered.

They were a little pricey for the work, but we trusted them more than others that came because of their honesty and professionalism. The only issue we did have, was when they replaced the piping connected to the furnace something came loose and got stuck and our furnace would not turn on. My husband had to go in and clean out the pipe to remove the debris so that our furnace would run again. Other than that we had no issues. They were prompt, called 30 minutes ahead to let us know when they would be there, and were very respectful of our home.

They came, gave price. Took pic of what it looks like. Fixed and took new pic. All in 45 minutes. On original call for estimate.

Sean and his associate were efficient and friendly! They even left the living room clean which I was surprised about since they vacuumed the chimney.

Great bunch of guys, answered phone unlike others, and came a few days later, great service, neat work, very nice over all.
