This was the worst moving experience of my life and I have moved many times
Description of Work: I used this company in a move from Norwalk, CT to Stamford, CT on august 1, 2011. First , the crew arrived three hours late. Second, all four men disappeared for 15 to 20 minutes at a time between loads. Third, they had no equiptment to move boxes efficiently, just one small dolly. Fourth, I came to learn that they would take 15-20 minutes smoking breaks between loads. Fifth, the job was estimated to be between 4 to 5 hours , yet it tool form 10;20 am to 6:20 PM. Sixth, none of my fragile possessions were wrapped in blankets as promised , just makeshift cardboard boxes and plastic wrap.At the rate of $ 115.00, I assume I was overcharged by 3 to 4 hours minimum. The owners refuse to respond until i complete a claim for form damaged goods which is not appropriate as I am not claiming damage just being totally overcharged for the time and quality of the move. I did outlines these same concerns to them in two emails which they acknowledge receiving . They even threatened my if i post negative comments on the web.

My brother and his wife hired this mover in August of 2007 to complete a move from NJ to Western PA. They were completely unprofessional, stealing money and alcohol (which they consumed while on the job), damaged their belongings and homes, and left the job unfinished. Despite losing a Better Business Bureau binding arbitration decision, they refused to make payment of restitution properly awarded and my brother had to sue to enforce the award.. Avoid them at all costs! See BBB scorecard at http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-reviews/movers/a-security-moving-and-storage-in-bayonne-nj-28000337. Be aware that they also operate under an assumed name of Capital Van Lines. http://www.capitalvanlines.org/
