Description of Work: The task was exterior painting on three buildings They used high quality paint and did a great job. One of the buildings was a barn, which I had let "go to seed." John introduced me to a really good contractor who replaced the exterior cedar shingles and replaced the roof. My complains are few and minor. One is that John is very friendly, nice and fair, but a little loose on business. If you don't mind being a little casual on dates, he's your guy, but a little more specifics on the timetable in advance would have been good. The bid was $2000 less than the competitor, but I didn't know until he showed up that the windows behind the storm windows were not included and would be extra. John was not around during the actual painting, but his foreman did a good job with the crew. My only complaint with the crew was they were h****** the vegetation, trampling plants and cleaning their painting equipment on the grass. Bottom line, the price and work were good, I would used them again and like them better than the last crew I used. Seven years ago. John swears the paint he used will last long than that.

 + -1 moreThe weather did not cooperate to get outdoor painted completed, so the job took 3 weeks to complete. Unfortunately there was miscommunication about the stain and the wrong color was applied to the deck. A sample of the color was never applied. They did admit the mistake and we compromised on an additional fee to be paid to have the deck re-stained. They were professional and reliable in terms of working on the days when the weather was good.

There was a small area I was not completely satisfied with, and John came back promptly to fix it the next day. Shopped around for quotes, and his was the best. We are scheduled to have some exterior painting this summer. Definitely recommend John's Painting.

 + 0 moreWe recently moved into a 1980's condo and the living room wall had places where the paint was buckling and the joining strips between the wallboard sections was peeling. John came promptly and gave me an estimate on the painting and repairs. It seemed reasonable for the work that needed to be done and the fact that the ceiling in the living room was two stories high. His crew of two came two days later. They spent half a day doing the repairs and then got right to the painting. They were finished by the afternoon of the second day. I was happy with the results, especially the repairs to the living room wall. They were neat?..covered everything.

 + -1 moreHis men are very detail oriented, meticulous, extremely nice and very professional. My house and deck were powerwashed and grouted. Repairs were made to gutters where needed and leader pipes were cleaned out. The house and deck look superb. I have never had an experience with a painting contractor of this quality. John is a pleasure to work with. He asks for no deposit, explains everything in detail, and a hand shake seals our agreement. He will soon be working on the inside of our house, I cannot recommend him highly enough and by the way, he always returns phone calls.

He has painted our exterior and interior and we were extremely impressed with the quality of work and cleanliness throughout the job. It was very reasonably priced and John did everything he said he would, which is very important to us. We are very particular about work we have done and usually do not recommend contractors to others, but John's Painting was a great find and we referred him to several neighbors and family members. John's Painting will not disappoint.

 + -1 moreI'm happy with the quality of the work - lines are nice and clean. Time for job was underestimated (estimated at 1 day, took almost 2), but rate remained the same. Cleanup could have been a bit better (spackle left on the edge of a bookcase, items not put back, splotch of paint on a skylight screen - to be fair, you can't see this unless it's dark outside, and they were gone before dark), but i feel this is because job took substantially longer than estimated. I'd probably use them again.

 + 3 moreThe estimate was provided promptly and with out any fuss. I thought the estimate was very reasonable for a house our size and was significantly less than another estimate I obtained. The final price was as estimated. The crew was efficient and professional. They consulted and communicated with us before and during the process. The job was started and completed in a timely fashion and crew cleaned up nicely after the conclusion of the job. Minor carpentry repairs were done on site and as promised. High quality product was used throughout. We are pleased with the results and would recommend this local provider. As a local provider of long standing, I feel comfortable with his commitment to provide any touch-up follow up work that may be required.

He responded same day to telephone call, showed up on time for the appointment and gave us the most complete estimate at a great price. His crew was very hard working, polite and neat. They went above and beyond our expectations and made repairs to things that we were not even aware were problems. I am only sorry that we did not discover John years ago. In the future, he will be the only one we call!

 + 2 moreIt all went very well, he worked with us to select the color and kind/quality of paint to use. They did not skimp on the amount of paint used, provided excellent coverage. There were a few re-does because we changed our mind about the color and they cheerfully repainted those areas.
Description of Work: Cleaned, Power-washed entire house, deck, fixed minor problems. Painted house, garden shed, brush coated deck twice, painted fences and railings for a great finish. Cleaned up after work was completed. His staff worked with care, and were very responsive to any questions and concerns
