At Get Organized with Maria, we solve problems like this every day. We help busy families, elderly clients small businesses, and more. We help people prepare their homes for the real estate market as well as those who are downsizing and guide them through the entire relocation process. We help homeowners with all aspects of interior design and we even help contractors by working with their customers for space planning. Our company provides Professional Organizing, Relocation, and Lifestyle Management Services for busy people who don't have time to do it all. From Closets to kitchens to Attics, home offices or basements. We can help. We are diplomatic, empathetic, willing to listen, non-judgmental, creative, patient, and trustworthy. As well as a Member of NAPO, the National Association of Professional Organizers in the USA. According to NAPO, a professional organizer: "...enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits. Professional organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper, and their systems for life."

How can I start this review? Maria and Irene are just the total package! When they arrived on my front door with their big smiles, I didn’t really know what to expect... We first needed help to prepare our home for sale: a huge job de-cluttering 20 years of “stuff”…3 days later, I couldn’t believe it: not only was our home beautifully staged for showings, but we also managed to pack many boxes, ready to be moved! A month later, we are ready to move : once again, we called Maria and Irene for help! This pair is very professional, careful, very efficient and proactive (and…so caring!)! If you are looking for “THE A team “ to to help you move, or just help you get organized, do not look further! You will not regret it!

Maria was amazing. Had the opportuntiy to work with an additional person from her team, who was great as well! They really dug right in and got a tremendous amount of work done in 4 hours, more than I expected! Maria saw a vision of how to help make the best use of my limited storage space and now the area is functional/useful. Taking this step allowed for decluttering of the living room and I was able to let go of a lot of things that I wouldn't have if I was left to my own to tackle the task. I'm really glad I made the decision to get professional organizational help from Maria.
Description of Work: Asked Maria to help declutter and organize my apartment so I could enjoy having people over and put an end to the stress that comes with trying to live with too much stuff

Our room was a challenge from the start. We asked that Maria help us rearrange the contents of our room without throwing anything out. And we wanted to keep everything easily accessible and visible. Maria met the challenge professionally and beautifully! She found convenient space for everything, and made our front room into a music area and dining room that we can entertain in.
Description of Work: Our front room was being used more for storage then for entertaining. I asked Maria to come and help us better organize and rearrange it.

Maria is an excellent stager and very practical in her advise to the client and listing real estate agents. She works very efficiently and her rates are reasonable. She has the "eye" of the prospective buyers to stage the home to show it's best qualities. I highly recommend Maria and will continue to recommend her to my sellers.

Maria is truly amazing! She can get things done in such a short amount of time. Her professionalism is stellar! She works with you in order to make things the way you want them to be. I would highly recommend Maria! She does everything from staging your home for sale, cleaning out your closets, working in neglected spaces, moving your old movies onto DVDs. You name it, she can do it or find a way for it to be done!

Description of Work: Maria helped me reorganize my house in preparation of new baby. I also used her services to help with moving my mother. My request was to transform my place from a sloppy bachelor pad to a house I can be proud to entertain friends in. The provider exceeded my expectations. I had started the project with another organizer, but found Get Organized with Maria to be more affordable per hour and more productive per hour. She really understood what I needed. Once I trusted that she got my needs, I was able to delegate some of the decisions to her about what to throw or keep, based on some simple guidelines. Since I expressed an interest in upgrading my place to a Classy Bachelor Home I could bring guest to, she also acted as a professional shopper and bought some home furnishings for me. I kept all of the things she bought and reimbursed her for the items. The modest shopping fee is included in the cost of service listed above. I would definitely recommend this provider to others without hesitation or reservation.
Description of Work: Helped me de-clutter and organize my house and garage. We also eliminated unnecessary paper (junk mail, old statements, etc.) keeping and filing only what was essential. We discarded unneeded clothes, linens, furniture, furnishings, etc. I had decades of accumulated stuff that had to be sorted through. Effort was many hours and days over a 4 week period. 30 contractor bags of discarded/donated stuff and 25 paper bags of paper to be shredded; another 20 paper bags of paper / cardboard to be recycled. Home is a 900 sq. ft. one bedroom condo with a walk-in closet, loft/office and attached garage.

In 4 hours she managed to complete the garage and one wall of the basement with some assistance from me. She is very knowledgeable and efficient in what she is doing and not afraid of hard work. I was very pleased with the job as it was happening, as well as the outcome. My garage is organized logically so that I can find anything I need instantly and together we eliminated so much stuff that I actually have empty spaces along the wall which I intend to keep empty. The same thing happened as we started with the basement. I have already scheduled with Maria to return to finish this task. I can't describe how satisfying it is to have your home organized!

I highly recommend Maria! She is the perfect combination of empathetic, firm, playful, and supportive. Before hiring her, I didn't know where to begin. She helped me get through years of accumulated stuff, right from the first visit.
Description of Work: Maria helped me go through all of my clutter and years of accumulation of stuff throughout my house and helped me organize as well. Price depends on how long you work with her. I worked with her over the course of a couple of months. $75/hour for first 3 visits, then $65/hour after that.
