They took down the block, added beautiful cedar posts and railing, and replaced the pine floor. Its beautiful! Jeff and his crew are meticulous, and great to work with.

Our home insurance was about to get cancelled due to some worn out side steps. We called Jeff and he came right out to give us an estimate as we didn't have much time to work with the insurance company. Jeff squeezed us into his schedule. He and his worker came out and in same day replaced side steps, railings and a post. They were polite, quick and cleaned after the work was finished. We got our insurance back, would hire again!

JEFF BOWEN CAME AND INSPECTED THE PORCH, AND BESIDE THE THINGS I WANTED FIXED, THE UNDER STRUCTURE WAS IN BAD SHAPE. HIS RECOMMENDATION WAS TO SUPPORT THE ROOF AND DEMOLISH THE WHOLE THING AND REBUILD. HE WOULD USE MODERN MATERIAL THAT WOULD NOT NEED PERIODIC MAINTENANCE. HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THAT WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN I EXPECTED FOR REPAIRS, BUT IT MADE SENSE RATHER THAN TO FIX HALF OF IT. I WATCHED JEFF AND HIS CREW FROM TIME TO TIME AS THEY WORKED AS A TEAM. THEY IMPRESSED ME WITH THEIR WORKMANSHIP. THE OLD PORCH HAD THREE GROUND SUPPORTS. THE NEW HAS FIVE. THE OLD STEPS WERE 7" HIGH AND 9" WIDE. THE NEW STEPS ARE 6.5" HIGH AND 11" WIDE USING 6 STEPS INSTEAD OF 5 (MUCH SAFER FOR ELDER PEOPLE). THE HAND RAILINGS ARE 3.5" WIDE. JEFF INSTALLED A 1 3/8" ROUND SUB-RAILING ON THE STEPS MAKING IT MUCH SAFER TO HOLD TO. BETWEEN THE TIME I SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND THE CONSTRUCTION STARTED I WAS HELPING MY WIFE OUT THE BACK DOOR ACROSS THE PORCH AND DOWN BACK STEPS FOR AN APPOINTMENT. AS I WAS LOCKING THE BACK DOOR AND TURNING AROUND SHE YELLED "HELP! I'M FALLING". I DROPPED EVERYTHING I HAD IN MY HANDS AND GRABBED FOR HER. I WAS ABLE TO GRAB HER RIGHT SHOULDER BUT NOT THE LEFT PULLING ME OFF BALANCE. WE BOTH ROLLED SIDEWAYS DOWN THE 5 STEPS. SHE ENDED UP FACE DOWN ON THE SIDEWALK. I ENDED UP ROLLING OVER HER ENDING HALFWAY ON THE SIDEWALK AND THE GRASS. SHE FORTUNATELY DID NOT HAVE SEVERE INJURIES BUT SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK FOR TESTS AND OBSERVATION. SHE DID HAVE SEVERE BRUSES ON FACE AND ARMS. I ONLY HAD SCRAPES AND BRUSES. I ASKED JEFF FOR ANOTHER ESTIMATE TO INSTALL A WHEEL CHAIR LIFT ON THE FRONT PORCH. HE HAD NOT DONE ONE BEFORE. HE DID SOME RESEARCH AND CAME BACK WITH A REASONABLE ESTIMATE AND IT IS NOW INSTALLED. JEFF TOLD ME THE BUILDING INSPECTOR NOT ONLY APPROVED IT BUT WAS ALSO IMPRESSED WITH IT. SO AM I. NOW I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL STURDY MAINTENANCE FREE HANDICAP ACESSABLE FRINT PORCH.

Jeff and his team did a great job. It looks wonderful and was done much quicker than I thought possible. Jeff took the time to work with us on various options and was open to changes we wanted along the way.

Jeff and his crew did an excellent job for a reasonable price. I wanted a small (8' x 12') covered porch that would require little to no maintenance to replace a set of stairs. Its purpose would be as a sitting area with lights and electrical outlets as well as an overhead fan for ventilation. They took my original design concept, made suggestions, and performed agreed upon modifications that very much enhanced the end product. I have received nothing but rave reviews from my neighbors.

Jeff and his guys were great, got the job done and did a wonderful job. It looks like the roof was built as part of the original structure. His suggestions were well taken when he suggested a vaulted ceiling all finished with fans and built in lights.

Jeff and his men build a beautiful deck, the guys were polite and the entire job was done in a professional manner. The price was best I found and the materials are top quality. Would use this builder/contractor again.

I am very pleased with the work Jeff and his crew did on our home. The new deck looks spectacular. Jeff has a long history in the business and knows all aspects, so he has plenty of good advice when it came to permits, deck configuration, choice of deck and roof material, and other design elements, including wiring, and ventilation. All of his recommendations paid off, and as I said the deck looks great. Most days Jeff was on the job with his employees, working right alongside them. The quality of their work is very high. You wont find an errant nail or piece of plastic anywhere. They also tried to keep my lawn looking good as they worked around it. Unfortunately the rain turned it into a mud pit anyway, but they did make an effort. I graded them a "B" on pricing because we only got two estimates and don't want to discourage anyone from getting several estimates of their own. In the end, we decided to stop our search and go with Jeff because his price was reasonable and first impression was that of a decent guy who had more business savvy than to not price competitively. I think it paid off.

Jeff and his team were great to work with. They finished the job in about two weeks with a few days off to wait for inspections and because of the weather. He took care of all of the permits for us and answered all my questions. Our new deck looks great and we can't wait to use it in the spring/summer. I would definitely use him and his team again for any other remodels we might do in the future.

It all went very well. The workers worked daily, beginning early in the morning. They were professional and pleasant. They noticed a design flaw with our original deck , discussed the situation with me, and we negotiated a solution. Overall, I'm very pleased and the deck looks great.

Initially, they were only to build a new deck on the back of the house. They did a great job, and a few weeks later a different crew came out and put a new roof on the house. It took several days for each project. The crews cleaned up each night and before leaving made sure there were no nails laying around. Both crews were professional, courteous and respectful to my parents. Would definitely use them again.

It went great. I was anxious to get the job done as two other contractors were no shows. Jeff Bowen was on the job the week of 9/21/15 and completed it 9/28/15. He is easily available by telephone, responsive and the quality of the work was exceptional. It could not have been a better experience.

Everything went GREAT. Jeff was no-nonsense when he came out to put together an estimate. He kept in touch regarding the status of the job. Jeff's guys were punctual and professional. Most important: the new deck looks fantastic. When they were done, the crew did a fantastic job of cleaning things up. They also used some of the leftover bits to repair my fence gates at no charge. I would HIGHLY recommend this contractor if you need a new deck.

There a few little things that need to be finished, but the inspector is due out today and hopefully everything goes through without a hitch. I couldn't believe how quickly he was able to demolish our concrete pad and begin construction. Below are before and after shots. People stop on the street and just stare and give us the thumbs up.

Jeff came out right away to look at the old deck. It took him a few weeks to get back with a quote but was still better than others in his responsiveness. We were going to use Trex for low maintenance but Jeff suggested we use PVC decking and he had a sample with him. He explained exactly what he would do which meant removing the floor joists and re-spacing them and adding a few more to accommodate the new PVC deck boards. He also suggested that the stairs be totally removed and rebuilt since the original stairs did not have the correct amount of stringers to support the new PVC treads. Once we were scheduled his crew showed up on the day he said and finished the work in 2 days. The results were absolutely fabulous. What a professional job his crew did. They even routed the edges of the deck boards and stairs for a perfect finished look. His price was about $1000 higher then other bids but I felt most comfortable with Jeff. You do get what you pay for and I would highly recommend his services. The only complaint I have is that he did take some time to respond back to email.

Jeff explained the process and recommendation to support the existing posts with additional wood on either side, sealed and screwed in to support the partially split existing posts. Job was done quickly and thoroughly, they even fixed some loose nail pops across the entire deck.

The job was done quickly and professionally. Jeff and his guys did a very neat job - the deck looks 100% better! While it wasn't a huge job - it was enough for me to know they do quality work. I will definitely call them again for any future projects.

Jeff came out. showed pictures of previous jobs. We had to wait a bit for them to start the project however, once they did it was done thoroughly by an excellent crew who knew what they were doing. They arrived prompltly at 7 and lefft each day at 3pm The deck is beautiful. Jeff did not do much of the work, however, the crew know what to do and did a fantastic job.

I found Jeff's company on the internet. I googled porch repair and he popped up with great reviews. I called the phone number on the website and he answered immediately. He came to my house that evening and gave me a quotation within a few days. I was in a panic mode to get the work done quickly as my son's high school graduation party was only a few weeks away. My husband had intentions of doing it himself and it was a much bigger project than he expected. Jeff suggested that we replace the rails with vinyl which is what we did. Initially Jeff thought the support posts were still fine, but when he started the job he found that if we didn't replace them then, that we would need to replace them in the immediate future. He communicated all of this to me while I was on my way to North Carolina. We made the decision right away to definitely do it right and get it done then. We came home a few days later and pulled up to the front of our house and was amazed at how nice that it looked. Jeff did all of this in a time frame from our initial contact within 2 weeks. He accepted my verbal ok to proceed with the additional work with just having the initial deposit. I would definitely hire him again.

We decided to postpone building the roof. We just had the deck refinished and repaired.

excellent. Only complaint is that the discount was not honored. Still average cost so they were used.
