Harry has long since retired and Billy Dwight is the one that's in charge now. I have used them more than once. They were efficient, thorough, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after themselves. They left the place immaculate, no dust, nothing left. Their pricing was fair. In my opinion, they were worth every penny. The quality was excellent. He always comes when he says he's coming. He is very professional.
Description of Work: Dwight Plumbing & Heating put plumbing in for the shower for me.

Bill was great to work with- very responsive, fair price, not cheapest but nowhere near some of the tip-off places I dealt with-all highly rated on here I might add- and the cheaper ones all wanted to install cheapo hit and run type toilets to ensure return visits for clogs I am sure. Bill was patient enough to go over a number of models I was looking at. He also made a cpl of recommendations to me on my boiler for no charge as we did a walkthrough. He also talked me out of doing a job that he said would be very costly and not actually fix what I was looking to do and made some recommendations on other less costly ways to achieve what I was looking for- which wouldn't benefit him at all. Bill even offered to fix our old toilet if we wanted to save some $$- something no other plumber mentioned. Job was done quickly and correctly. We are thrilled with out new toilet and will be using Dwight and Son for our plumbing needs in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced old 1970's era toilet in my downstairs bath with new efficient one.

Mr. Dwight came by promptly. He looked at the basement valve, which was not leaking at the time, and made an adjustment to it. It is now two weeks later, and it has not resumed leaking. He then went to the bathroom and informed me that the fellows who had done a partial renovation of my bathroom had improperly installed the faucet. He removed it, reattached it with the appropriate hardware in the appropriate way. The valve has worked perfectly since then, and there has been no leakage.
Description of Work: I had a shut off valve which has been leaking in the basement and I also was having difficulty shutting the water off in the 2nd Floor Shower and occasionally had a leak in the dining room.

Called for an estimate. Bill Dwight the owner came when promised, reviewed the job and the items I had selected from the internet ( new shower faucet, new tub drain) and wrote up an estimate for $1850 (new parts). He also examined the existing shower faucet and asked if I would prefer to have it repaired if it could be repaired rather than replaced. I said if you can, do it! So Bill and two plumbers came as scheduled for the actual repair, Bill showed them what to do, and he left them on the job. They successfully repaired the tub faucet and drain. They installed the new outdoor hose bibb and replaced the old leaky iron pipes in the basement. They were done in 4.5 hours. They were very neat and placed a tarp down in their path from the back door to the cellar stairs. Their new copper pipe work in the basement was very neat, tucked up between the floor joists where ever possible. They cleaned up well and took all the old pipe they removed with them. They left saying Bill would come by for payment. Instead, he sent an invoice for $1450 ($400 off for not supplying the new parts). I called and asked if I could pay by charge card, but that was the one disappointment- he doesn't take charges.
Description of Work: Repair/replace shower faucet, repair/replace tub drain, install new outdoor hose bibb, replace old leaky iron pipe in basement.
