He came out to see many of the projects that I had to do and seemed nice enough, took lots of notes but never got back to me. I called and texted him but never heard back.

Al and Rich arrived right on time. I showed them what needed to be done. All the work was completed quickly and professionally. Both Al and Rich are courteous and easy to work with. The charge for approximately 2 hours of work was incredibly reasonable. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Al Oriente is fantastic. He and partner showed up in time and did so much for me (all those annoying things in the house that needed to be fixed). They were friendly, professional and cleaned up everything. I am very, very happy with their work. They are coming back to do carpentry and install new windows.

The guys came out. They were extremely personable. I had 3 estimates for the job and they had the best price. Worked with me on a convenient date and time. Showed up exactly when they said they would. Did a fantastic job on the ceiling. And unclogged my drain and fixed my door while they were here at no extra charge.

Al and Paul replaced a faucet for me in October 2012, which was done well after multiple attempts to contact and schedule him for the work. We were scheduled to discuss more work and Al stated that I should call him after the early part of November 2012, which I did. He did not reach out again until two months later in January 2013 when he said that he would call upon his return from vacation; I didn't hear from him until another two months later in early March 2013. When he and Paul came to do the work on March 29, 2013, they did a fair job using wire mold as opposed to running the electrical wires down the wall from the attic. Al's reason was because he didn't feel up to it (the inconvenience of going through my attic). I was paying him to do the work, and if he hadn't felt like doing the job, then I would have happily hired someone else who was feeling and quot;up to it.and quot; I wasn't thrilled with the appearance of the wire mold running up and down the walls, but it accomplished the purpose at hand, and we scheduled for the following job in April. So, I gave him the key and the alarm code to my house. We were scheduled for April 9, 2013 and he neither called nor showed up to complete the next phase of the agreed upon work. I reached out to him twice via text (which his voicemail greeting states is the best way to contact him), and he had not yet responded within the week. He does decent work if you manage to schedule him and if he actually shows up. I am disappointed with the lack of respect for my time and me, as I took off a day from work an hour away and he neglected to call and cancel or even call and explain after the scheduled date for repairs. He seems to be too busy to communicate with potential or established customers about his true availability or lack thereof.

Wonderfully. I would highly Al and his associate (forgot his name) but they were both professional, courteous, pleasant and they took pride in their work. They arrived ahead of schedule and on time and I couldn't be happier. Mt hank you Al for your hard work and honesty.

My wife may call them in the future to create a dog door for us. The experience was good. They did their job and were respectful.

They were wonderful. I've stuck with them for everything I've had done around my house. They are very good. They do good work and they clean up after themselves. They are on time. They installed a dishwasher which kinked. They came back and unkinked it. They didn't charge me to fix it. They are just good. I have recommended them. I do have to call them a lot.

Every thing went great. They showed up on time with the right equipement and finished the job in one day! They are very personalble and friendly. Our kitchen back splash looks amazing and we are greatful for their hard work!

They were on time (even though I was slightly later than expected) and presented themselves in a professional manner. They were done in a hurry and I was satisfied with the work done. I will definitely be contacting them again for future jobs.

We've used AOK Handyman Services many times in the past five years, and this by far is the most involved project we've for which we've hired them. Here's a rundown of the renovations: 1. Stripped wallpaper in living room, foyer, stairway and upstairs hallway. Repaired said walls (spackled, sanded, etc.) and painted walls, ceilings, and baseboards. I still can't believe they were able to complete this part of the renovation in just three days. Some of the wallpaper was paper, not vinyl, which is truly difficult to remove. They also hung new roman shades in the bay windows in the living room. 2. In the process of preparing living room bay for painting windows Al and Paul pointed out that the damaged sill, which I asked to be repaired, was particle board! And a really junky particle board at that. While they were willing to repair the existing sill, they said it was in such bad shape that other areas could warp at any time. Instead, I opted to have them replace the sill, which turned out to be no small task! The sill is 10 ft. long and an unconventional width -- meaning, not readily available in the pre-cut pine found at Home Depot or Lowes. But Al improvised, and also removed the narrower overhang at the rear of the original sill and replace that with a wider overhang so as to avoid the prohibitive cost (and additional time) to obtain a custom-cut piece of pine. A time-intensive but neat solution that looks wonderful. 3. Replaced a bunch of electrical outlets in the dining, living, hall and foyer areas, some of which were original to our 40-year-old house and badly deteriorated. Also replaced some light switches, and all the plates for both outlets and light switches in these areas. 4. Repainting the newels and spindles proved challenging as the first coat of paint wouldn't take! In fact, I don't think these items had ever been refinished. After judicious sanding by Al and Paul, and the use of Kilz as a primer, the paint adhered just fine. 5. Ah, the hardwood floors. When removing the carpet in the living room, Al and Paul found it was STAPLED to the hardwood floor! Then we discovered another interesting fact: a previous owner of the house had attempted to stain the floor, didn't like the results and carpeted instead! You could tell they gave up on the refinishing because there is a jagged line where the other stain stopped at the entrance to the dining room, which retains the original (lighter) color of the hardwood floors. Al speculated that we might have to stain the dining room to match the living room prior to staining both areas with the actual stain color we chose. After removing upwards of about 1,000 staples, Al sanded the floor using an industrial strength sander rented from Home Depot. Not only was most of the stain in the living room successfully lightened -- eliminating the need for a two-part stain operation -- but also the sander was one that sucked up the majority of sawdust in a bag as it sanded! I was blown away by the fact that I would not have to wipe down/dust the newly-painted walls after the fact. The application of stain and polyurethane went smoothly after that. Al and Paul even stained the bannisters and handrails the same color for consistency. We are even adhering to their advice of walking on the hardwood floors as little as possible for a full four weeks -- and then in socks, not shoes -- to allow the stain/poly to fully set/cure. IN CONCLUSION Al and Paul were true professionals during an extremely involved renovation, and very responsive with regards to to our questions, concerns and requests. They did not rush on touch-ups once the main work was done. They also moved the heaviest pieces of furniture into the kitchen and garage for the duration of the work AND moved it back afterwards. They provided further useful advice, like placing heavy felt pads on the bottom of all furniture so as not to scratch up the newly-stained hardwood floors. Everything looks terrific and brand-spanking new. Thanks so much Al and Paul!

Never contacted us, so the experience was disappointing to say the least.

They did splendid work. Al (the owner) is there in charge of the project, and doing the work, and he is meticulous. He makes sure everything is and quot;just so.and quot; A OK deserves the highest praise for their work. They tackled a wide range of problems and did everything flawlessly. Al is quite busy now, and rightly so, but he arranged to come out in just a few days after I called him. Also, they are a pleasure to work with--really great work all around.

They arrived on time, always cheerful and helpful. Everything on our checklist got completed and we were satisfied with the job.

4 of the 5 jobs were completed without incident. The dry rot repair after close inspection was not to my satisfaction and I called Al. He returned promptly agreed with me that the job could have been better and corrected the problem. No fuss No bother. I am totaly satisfied.

These guys are the best! Al and Paul arrived promptly, worked non-stop, and did a professional job. They are both very knowledgeable, hardworkers and personable.
