+ -1 moreAgain, personable, but that was because I was being ripped off.
Description of Work: Uugh, because of this plumber, I joined Angie's List. First, I was insanely overcharged. Here is the scope of work I had done: Ran a gas line for the gas dryer, hooked up the washing machine, installed the pipes under the new sink, replaced the basement toilet, and put in 2 faucets that I purchased. Joe is very personable, but was taking me for a ride, which explains his joy. Just moved into this house, and asked my boss to recommend someone...this is who he gave me. After he left, I went to do laundry and the washing machine overflowed all over the basement. Called him, and he said "well, I thought the chemicals would help, but you must have a big clog"! I thought that should have been remedied while he was there the 1st time. So, he comes over the next day and has to cut a hole in the wall to access the pipes, and charges me another $425. So, I spent $3,000 on a plumber, from a friend. Just awful.

+ -1 moreGemstone is INCREDIBLE. The owner, Joe, is a great guy and an awesome plumber. His crew is courteous and knowledgeable. They arrive when they say they will and they don't play games with bait & switch pricing etc. They are not the cheapest outfit you can find, but the work they do is worth the added cost and peace of mind. Remember, you get what you pay for. I have recommended them to everyone I know when they need a plumber and everyone comes back to me with the same experiences I have had. Joe and his guys are truly class acts and worth the call.
Description of Work: Gemstone has worked on my home since I bought it. They have done everything from fix a leak to renovate an entire bathroom. They are a full service plumbing and heating firm.
