Artistic Concrete & Design

We had Artistic install a new sidewalk this past Spring leading to our front porch steps and we still are very pleased with the results (stamped concrete to look like stone) and have received many compliments and can't wait until we can fit them in our budget to do more work for us.

Spoke to the contractor before the holiday and he stated that he would get back to me in regards to the projected work. Followed up one week ago with two phone calls and never responded back.

The job went very well although we had some issues with the weather cooperating. John and his crew did an awesome job on our walkway. We have gotten countless comments from neighbors and passers by on how great the walkway looks and how nicely it has improved the look of our property. I would highly recommend Artistic Concrete & Design. Also of note, their pricing was much better than any other contractors we had bid on the job.

My husband decided not to do the project this year because of our tight budget, but will use Artistic Concrete and design, next year.

The work was done a little more than a week after I called him. He came over to do the estimate the very next morning after I contacted him. We would highly recommend Artistic Concrete & Design to anyone that needs/wants a neat professional job done.. without a doubt..John is your man!! We will definitely be calling him again.

John promptly set up an appointment to meet with us, showed up on time, was very friendly, respectful, and courteous, stayed in contact with us regarding the scheduled work, gave us a fair price for the large area that he covered with stamped concrete, and did a very nice job. It was a very good experience and I would definitely hire him again. John takes pride in his work and is a genuine good person.

John, President and owner of Artistic Concrete and Design came over to our house the day he said he was coming to take a look at the job. He has such a pleasant personality that made me feel we can agree and work together easily. He measured the work area, wrote down the cost, and gave me the date he can start the work.. The first impression I got from him when he said his company was passed on to the next generation was he must be very expensive. Was I wrong. He is $1,500.00 less than the first estimate I got. This included the labor for removing the vinyl siding and installation and supplied all the materials such as the cement, mesh, seal mat and plaster. After the stone veneer materials were delivered to our house, John had a big project he was doing, nevertheless, he promised when he can start the work and he came over with his 3 men. John worked the first day to supervise his men what had to be done but I never saw him again until the last day. Although, he sent a master mason with many years of experience, I still feel, that he should have dropped by to check occasionally,how the work was being done. The work took 2 days longer than what I anticipated but it did not bother me because, the master mason was very precise and careful in his work. At the last day of the work, John showed up and I noticed very insignificant gaps between the stones and John did his best to improve it and please me. The work area was cleaned up very well. Overall, the project turned out to be very attractive and got many praises from it. I highly recommend to anyone needing a masonry job to call John first. His price is very reasonable for the quality of work that he will deliver.

The quality of materials and work was very poor. We have a simple cement and slate two step front porch. We do not live at the residence and could not be there to supervise the workers. The slate that was installed was scratched and looks to have come from the 'dented and scratched' daily special of the day. You would have to think that a good contractor would check for these things before purchasing the materials or at the very least will check before the installation. Not this contractor. We would have chosen to delay the project. Instead we have a "$1900" new scratched front porch. In addition the landing has a big lump right in the center. Poor quality and poor materials by this contractor. As if that isn't enough, this contractor gave the contractors working on my neighbor's property during the same period permission to dump their construction debris in our debris pile in the backyard! Really!! Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and cannot recommend this contractor..

One of three quotes. John provided best price for work performed. (Laying down new blacktop drive was quoted at approx $4500 -$5000 by another company). The extra cost for stamped concrete was more than reasonable. John gave a detailed estimate and extra finishing touches for job. Took time to describe process and options.Started and finished as scheduled. Although the job was preformed in 2002 the results continues to make me happy.

This was my second job by Artistic Concrete & Design. The job was completed exactly to my expectations, scheduled quickly once the estimate was approved by me, finished in less than 3 days. The job looks great and the bonus is the workers leave no trace, even cleaning up yard debris not related to their job. A pleasure to be able to put trust in a local business.

Promptly visited and gave an estimate, then scheduled the work in a timely way with regard to my schedule. Workers were courteous and quiet, which made a great impression. The end result exceeded my expectations in design and attractiveness. Patiently answered my questions and concerns and came through with just what I needed. Very kindly repaired some fine cracks and removed more than the debris created by the job, at my request. Pleased with the cost. A pleasure to do business with this company and I will call them to install pavers next spring.
