Jeff was reliable. He told us what he would do and how much it would cost and then did it. Jeff was responsive and did very nice work.

He was great on the phone, understood what we needed and wanted to do. He was able to start right away and his price was right. Jeff and his team came in and completed the project within 3 days. They did and impeccable job with the painting, and the house was spotless when they left. I would definitely use them again.

Jeff painted the exterior of this house last summer and did an excellent job so I brought him back to do the interior this time. Once again he did a great job. There were many decorative items on the walls including fishing poles attached to nails and wires with screws and a whole beer can collection on a long shelf. All items were removed and put back up exactly as they were, no small task. He had great attention to detail including sealing all cracks and holes.

Work was excellent, only issue was the amount of time it took to get the job completed. Owner Jeff was responsive and returned all calls but did not always show up as scheduled. Some delays were due to bad weather.

I used Angies list to get the names of two contractors to paint my NH house. My third estimate came from the painter of my MA house. I was very happy with my MA painter but the NH house likely needed some minor (or so I thought at the time) construction work to replace some rotted trim. Jeff was the last person to provide an estimate. The first two contractors spent about 20-30 minutes walking around the house and we discussed what I wanted completed. Jeff spent more than an hour looking at the house and pointed out several things I had failed to notice that were issues that needed to be addressed. My house was built 13 years ago and apparently had many places on the exterior where water was getting into places it shouldn't. I planned to have a carpenter do the wood replacement, but he got ill and was unable to work. I decided to have Jeff do the carpentry work which was a good plan because I was sure more problems would reveal themselves as prep work was completed. While Jeff was looking at the house I immediately knew he had attention to detail and high standards for his work. His estimate came in higher than the other two but I also suspected his work would likely be superior. My gut told me he was the man for the job so I asked if he could match the second highest bid and he agreed. With painting, estimates can vary widely because anybody can pick up a brush and paint. What really matters is the prep work and attention to detail. I have learned the hard way with other painters that prep is king. If I wanted the house to look good several years after it was painted, it had to be meticulously repaired, cleaned, caulked, and then painted. Jeff began working on the house in July 2013. We had not talked about schedule, I didn't really care how long it took as long as it was done right. Jeff did an unbelievable job, and put in an incredible number of hours prepping the house and repairing the water damage. It really caught me by surprise what an enormous job it was when it is done right. As suspected we did find further issues during the preparation and I added these to the growing list of repairs. The job took over 2 months but it was so worth it. The house has never looked better. Jeff fixed many things that if left unattended would have led to costly damage down the road. I give Good Living Home Improvement my highest recommendation. It is very hard to know what you are going to get unitl it is done and I am happy to report Jeff's work is of the highest quality and worth every penny. I will definitely use him again in the future.

My home in NH had the pipes freeze over the winter. I finally settled with the insurance company a few weeks ago. I hired an independent insurance adjuster to work for me so I feel I received plenty of money to repair the damages. I had Good Livin Home Imp. come out and give me a quote to put everything back the way it was. He came in with a price that was basically double the amount that I received from the insurance company. When I told him he needed to and quot; sharpen his penciland quot; he came back with a quote exactly $10,000 less than the original. No details as to what work was eliminated etc. Also when I ask for a breakdown of materials and labor I get no response. Do not use this guy!

I would recommend Jeff without hesitation... Jeff does work in NH and on the Cape in MA; this work was done in New Hamphire. From start to finish, Jeff was fair, courteous, on time, and kept to budget and schedule. Jeff provided a detailed estimate of the work I asked for and was able to make suggestions for better - and more creative! - solutions such as the trimming for the display shelf over the slider that I wanted and other custom-built trim. Jeff was also willing to work with me on the estimate in a couple of areas to help me keep to my budget. Jeff also engaged Gus Descoulias for the electric work. It's clear they work well together and they came up with a couple of ideas on the electrics too! (note: electrician's cost not included in above) AND!!! Jeff discoved that I had pine floors under carpet - this just simply made it all the better. A ten star job from a ten star guy. Can't recommend him highly enough. My home looks fabulously gorgeous!!! Thanks, Jeff!

Had this painter bid early based on a stellar winter! Didn't go as fast as I planned due to weather, but easily gave my home a makeover that the neighbors haven't stopped talking about! Great guy, great painter, you will definitely feel like you've been taken care of!
