The moving occurred over two different days. On both days the individuals who arrived to move the belonging were friendly, flexible, responsive, professional and careful. I was very pleased with the entire moving process from scheduling the dates through moving day. I would highly recommend CMB Professional Movers and would use this service if I ever find myself moving again.

The movers were polite, prompt, respectful, and handled our belongings with care. They were very reasonably priced. We will most definitely be choosing CMB to help with our next move!

This company is amazing. They wrapped everything that they thought had to be done. The move was scheduled for 8am and they pulled up at exactly at 8am. The moving guy's were great and friendly. What surprised me was even the owner showed up to introduce himself. Would highly recommend this company to everyone.

They did a move for us of a houseful of furniture to Peterborough from Manchester, NH. They started at my parents house in Manchester, who had wonderful things to say about the team. I saw what she meant when they arrived. So professional and never showed any sign of frustration or stress, despite the physical signs of sweat they were showing on a very hot day! Skip was amazing to deal with, and answered even the most mundane questions. He even offered to call my Mom to confirm with her as well since he knew she was stressed out. Would use them again without hesitation!

I would highly recommend this company and I will tell you exactly why! They started off by coming early. The owner of the company (Derek Brown, also a fireman) showed up to confirm everything and make sure the process went smooth for the first hour. Within that hour he actually interacted with myself and my 2 year old son, giving him some super cute fireman gear! Beyond the excellent customer service the two men who moved us were exceptional! I wish I could remember their names because I would highly recommend them! The two gentlemen went above and beyond their expectations. We thought it was going to be an easy move but there were a few BIG items that needed to be moved (an existing fridge being replaced with an old and the old moved to the basement). It sounds like no big deal but it really was!! Neither fridge could fit through the door so it was quite the hassle. The men made no fuss, they took apart doors, hidges, and even dealt with the leaky water! I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience in such a stressful time! Thank you so much to Derek Brown and his fabulous team! P.S. You tip when you go to lunch so someone can bring you your food, so tip your movers, they work so hard moving your entire home so you don't have to!

I contacted Skip (the owner of CMB Professional Movers) well in advance of our scheduled move on 10/28/21. He was responsive throughout our communications PRIOR to our move date. When I scheduled our move I specifically told Skip my 2 major concerns. 1. I wanted to ensure that the hardwood floors in the home we sold (moving from) and the home we purchased (moving to) were protected. Skip told me that he would ensure the movers put down padding on the floors. This did NOT happen. When the moving crew arrived on 10/28/21 and I inquired about the padding for the floors they told me that Skip did not put enough padding in the truck to enable them to put any down on the floors. 2. I specifically told Skip that the one item I was most concerned with protecting was our dining room set. Of all the pieces they were moving that day, I wanted to ensure that they were extra careful with the dining room set as it is a very expensive set and it was in pristine condition. The crew arrived on time. They were a talkative jovial bunch, but that didn't really bother us. Three men moved the furniture while 1 "packed" the truck. It took approximately 4 hours for them to pack the truck. I was extremely organized and there was nothing that they had to box up. All of the rooms were consolidated and withe the exception of a small 2-piece leather sectional there was really no large/heavy furniture to move. Once the truck was packed up the crew headed to our new home 30 minutes away. The crew arrived at our new home and began unloading the contents of the truck. The move-in took approximately 4 hours. I had every box marked specifically with the room/location it was to be placed in. I had a sign on each door indicating the room - Master Bedroom, Spare Bedroom #1, Spare Bedroom #2 etc. Even with all my efforts, furniture and boxes landed in the wrong rooms. I ignored this as three of them were bringing items into the house and I couldn't be in every part of the house at once. My husband was outside directing the crew as to where to put items that were going into the basement, shed and garage. I remained in the house to try and direct the crew where to place the larger items in each room. At about 4:00 p.m. the entire crew came into the house and told me they were done. At this time I was in the living room. After an extremely busy week leading up to the move day and an extremely long move day (I was up at 4:30 a.m. preparing) I was admittedly exhausted. I did not walk room to room inspecting everything because I had been as attentive as I could be while they were bringing items in. I had noticed some damage to our leather sectional when they moved it in. The material covering the underside of the sectional was badly torn on both sections (for some reason they had dedcided to place the legs of the sectional which had large screws in them inside the material underneath the sectional) and on top the stitching on on one section was pulled. I decided that if that was the worst thing that occurred all day, I could live with it. The crew told me that Skip would be calling me to give the total for the move. I was paying in cash (a word to the wise...this was a big mistake!). I stayed in the kitchen while the crew hung out and waited for Skip to call. I had been going non-stop for 12 hours that day and at that point I was just glad the ordeal was almost over. Skip called and gave me the total. He initially gave me the wrong total and called back telling me he had to re-calculate the cost (which he increased by over $200). He asked how the move went, and I told him it went good (as that is what I believed at that moment). I wasn't thrilled with the way the crew worked, but I knew when they arrived in the a.m. that this was NOT a professional moving company. This was 4 nice talkative young men who were **** a job. I also believe I signed off regarding the move, however, I never I never received a copy of any receipt or acknowledgement regarding the move. I paid the crew, I tipped each one $50.00 and they left. I sat down for the first time all day to drink some water, then I decided to put some of the empty boxes in the garage. My husband had taken a trip back to our old house to pick up some of the items the movers couldn't fit in the truck (we had to make 2 additional trips on our own). When I walked into the garage I noticed that all of my dining room chairs were still in the garage. The movers had not brought them in. I could not figure out why, but with my husband not there to direct them, I assumed they just forgot about the chairs (although each one of them had to walk by the chairs when they left our house through the garage). At that moment I didn't think it was a big deal. The chairs aren't terribly heavy, so I started to bring them in by myself one by one. As I brought each one in (they are painted off-white) I noticed multiple scrapes and scratches on most of the chairs. 5 out of 8 chairs sustained some damage. Certainly enough to be very noticeable. I texted Skip immediately and sent him pictures. Long story short - 5 out of 8 dining room chairs were damaged along with one leg of the table (which I hadn't noticed when they brought the table in). Skip was not responsive with regard to the issue. I got an estimate to repaint the table and chairs. Unfortunately, the entire dining room set needs to be repainted to repair the damage. There is too much damage to attempt just a "touch up". This set includes a matching hutch and sideboard that will also need to be painted to match, but to be fair I didn't even include this in the charges. The estimate to repair and repaint the dining room table base and 8 chairs was $1200.00. The set had been in pristine condition prior to the move. I am positive that the movers would attest to this as they looked over the set before moving it from our old house. After waiting a reasonable amount of time for a response I had to reach out to Skip again to get the name/contact information for his insurance agent. No one had contacted me about the claim. I sent details of the incident and pictures to his agent. She forwarded the claim to an insurer that allegedly insured just the cargo/transit of the cargo for the move. I again had to detail the issue and resend pictures to the insurance company. They denied my claim indicating that it was a property liability issue and they were then forwarding it to the property liability carrier. However, the caveat was they they were going to "recommend that the claim be denied because "conditions of the policy were violated". It sounds to me like this leaves me between a rock and a hard place with regard to the damage to my dining room set. I had specifically asked Skip prior to hiring him if he was insured and bonded. He indicated he was, but this alleged issue with his insurance policy is now leaving me with no recourse regarding the damages I sustained. I reached out to Skip asking for his help in resolving this issue and he has not responded to me. In addition to the damage to the dining room chairs and table, the movers also put a large scratch in my living room floor. This was done when they "offered" to put the leg pieces on a new recliner. I know the scratch was NOT there prior to the move because we had just done out walkthrough of the property with our realtor the day prior. I was willing to overlook the damage to our sectional and the large scratch on the floor if Skip was willing to make the situation with my dining room set right. Our move was one month ago and I have received no indication that Skip is going to rectify this situation for us. CMB Movers clearly cannot guarantee the quality of their work or confirm that they are fully insured and bonded with regard to damage. The pictures I have attached only depict some of the damage. I did not take multiple pictures of each chair. I believe that when an issue like this occurs, how the provider/service handles it speaks volumes about them and their business. I cannot recommend CMB Professional Movers given our experience.

It couldn't have gone better. Skip and the crew actually showed up early. They were extremely organized, and friendly and enthusiastic. They listened to me and were helpful, reassuring and knowledgeable. They made this event, which I had been dreading, almost fun. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them without reservation.

Skip was extremely patient, flexible and helpful in setting up four separate appointments with us (one of which had to be rescheduled due to delays with the flooring supplier). In each case, the movers, Dave and Rico, got the work done quickly and efficiently and were quite pleasant to work with. I would enthusiastically recommend CMB Professional Movers.
