Our family had a horrible experience using Dockham. They did a great job with their presentation and their website/work looked good, but that's where the positive aspects ended. DO NOT TRUST the son of the owner, he does not look out for the home owner, just his bottom line. We caught him in many lies. Here were some of our frustrations: -Workers using drugs and drinking on the job -7 missed/failed inspections -Our new finished basement still takes on water (they won't own the issue). Our house smells like must/mold and its cost us $1000s -They submitted our permit incorrectly, adding extra cost. -Super messy job site (the owner was even appalled) -The contract means nothing. They will say stuff is not included or is up for interpretation when it's spelled out clearly as included in the contract. -Hot water lines were hooked up to our outside spigots I have dozens of pages of emails and images if anyone is interested. This was a truly frustrating experience.

It went well. Consider this home was originally built in 1998. We had extensive rot in on our house, whereupon reflection of what was needed, my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen (since you broke the seal so to speak). Bob's team completely gutted our kitchen/living room area. Removed the wood burning fireplace, removed all the old windows and old flooring. Fixed all the rot on the outside. They modified the framing on the outside walls to accommodate new windows. Designed/built a custom corner unit that now houses a gas fireplace below a flat screen TV. Installed sheetrock and new hardwood floors, which are beautiful by the way. I called Bob again when I found another rotten window. They came out and replaced with a window of the same type they installed in our new living room. I highly recommend Dockham Builders.

Dockham and crew were easy to work with, flexible in meeting our needs and budget constraints, and thoroughly professional. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again

High quality finished product, very professional look. They do use subs, but one of the subs we had said he work almost exclusively with Dockham due to their high standards and committment to high quality work. Will use again.

EXCELLENT results. High level of craftsmanship. It is very difficult to find a good exterior carpenter in this area. The guys from Dockham are grade A. I have also seen a complete kitchen makeover they did for a friend, and it was top notch. The owners and their workers have a high level of professionalism. Would definitely recommend them.
