+ -1 moreProject was tentatively scheduled for mid August after initial deposit made in mid July 2012. No final date set and several attempts to secure such over a two month period. Excuses of problems and promises to get back. Eventually I was unable to contact the owner at all. Learned some months later that Hamma is out of business. No evidence of bankruptcy but have learned that this person, Jim Meaney, has left his former address and seems unreachable. Bad deal all around. Sign of the times.
Description of Work: Project was to be a whole roof re-shingling. Never started.

+ -1 moreA very bad experience overall. We would not recommend Hamma Roofing for any project under any circumstance.
Description of Work: Hamma Roofing proposed replacing a section of roof on one of our commercial buildings and repairing a second section in order to correct a problem with recurring leaks. Although they did replace the roof on the first section they never worked on the second section. Due to their negligence, over $12,000 in subsequent damage was caused to the restaurant operating below the new roof when a hole opened up during a rain storm. Less than thirty days after the first rain storm a second problem occurred in the same restaurant, in the same area of the ceiling. We hired a different contractor to redo the work that was contracted with Hamma Roofing and have not had any problems since. Since the project went considerably over budget, took much longer to complete, and caused a great deal of aggravation to our company and our tenants, the final payment was withheld while we attempted to work with Hamma Roofing. Rather than offer a discount, the owner refused to settle and actually took us to court!
