Burke Moving & Storage

Burke moving gave us an estimate through pictures and email. They beat a bid we received from another local, closer, professional moving company. They called when they were on their way. Show up on time and were friendly and professional. They were careful with all items moved and most were extremely heavy! They also did not get frustrated when they needed to partially disassemble a treadmill in order to get it out of one of our bedrooms. They packed all items in storage for us and did an amazing job. They were early, did the work quickly and efficiently. Would definitely hire them again.

Packing was okay. I had to remind them to treat some of the breakable pieces with more care. We asked the packers to use original packing for the table saw and they didn't do so. Other than that, it seems okay. The packers smelled very strongly of cigarettes so I had to air out my house after they left.

The owner called me many months after my bad experience and subsequent review and apologized. He sent me a check for about 20% of my payment for my bad experience and explained that my move is not indicative of their company.

About 10 days before out move, a representative of Burke Moving & Storage came to our duplex to assess its contents and give us a written estimate for the move. She was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions, gave us a quote, and said she would get back to us regarding the earliest date that they could move us. She got back to us promptly, and we set a date. The team of 3 movers with their truck were due to arrive at our home at 8:00am on April 7. They arrived promptly (in fact, they were about 15 minutes early, which was OK with us). After a brief tour of our home, they commenced to move the contents into the truck in an orderly and efficient manner. We were well prepared for the move, with everything packed & ready to go, so it was only a matter of a few hours before the truck was packed & on its way to our new home. The unpacking of the truck went smoothly as well, with the movers quickly and carefully placing our furniture & belongings into the rooms that we had tagged them to be placed in. The cost came in under estimate. I am very satisfied with the service Burke Moving & Storage provided, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

These guys are great! Everything you would want in a mover. Prompt, accurate, very careful, hard-working and they stick to their estimate. They pre-packed what and when they said they would, they packed and moved when they said they would and everything arrived intact and on time. Very friendly personal service.
