SJA Concrete LLC

My husband and I hired Shane of Sja concrete to pour a concrete extension around our existing pool patio. Buyer beware!!! The quality of work is FAR below anything we could ever imagine. He was supposed to put tan coloring into the concrete to match color of existing slab but didn't feel like doing so the day he poured the slab. The concrete looks horrible. It has large gouge marks and pieces missing. The expansion joints are not straight and vary in width and depth. We begged him multiples times to please try to "fix" his mistakes . He made multiple attempts but the damage was already done. He sat there slapping on buckets of concrete trying to "redo" the expansion lines a week after he pored the slab. The new lines he formed are already cracking and crumbling. Apparently the pump jammed and the concrete started to harden before he could work with it. The slab is a complete train wreck. We are in the process of getting quotes to have it ripped out and replaced by a reputable concrete company. The pitch and angle of the concrete are way off. He blamed a defective level on his poor craftsmanship. He is not skilled enough to poor concrete let alone call himself a concrete contractor. When I contacted the BBB they told me it was my civic duty to spread the word and stop him from doing this to other unsuspecting homeowners. He left concrete all over my property and driveway. We asked him to clean it up but he never did. He even went into our shed and used our gas can and borrowed my husbands tools. I had to vacuum the yard to dispose of the thousands of pieces of concrete he left behind. I know I am not the first or last person to be taken by Shane. We were so excited to have our new patio and share it with our friends and family during the summer. We have been taken for thousands of dollars. Please let my mistake be a warning to all. Buyer Beware!!!!

I hired Shane Arcidiancono and his company SJA Concrete to pour the footings, foundation walls, and garage slab for a large addition I am building at my home in Salem, NH. To call the work awful would be an insult to awful craftsmanship. The foundation was poured more than one foot out of square (according to Shane it was one foot, three inches out of square), the footings had no rebar (even though my plans called for it), and the new foundation was never anchored (through rebar) to my existing foundation. Ask any concrete guy on the planet about a foundation being one foot out of square, and they'll laugh, because nobody can believe that any concrete guy could do that. That's how awful it is! The Slab was an absolute disaster, and looked as if were done by a little kid. It wasn't pitched, at all, which led to huge puddles of water pooling onto one side of the garage. Because the foundation was so far out of square, it could not be built upon. Shane kept claiming that he was going to fix it, but had endless excuses, day after day. Ultimately, I had to pay another contractor (after waiting for 4 plus weeks) to remove all of the concrete, then had to pay to dispose all of the concrete. I then had to hire a new concrete contractor to competently pour the new foundation. Shane took $7000.00 of my money, and never returned a penny of it. I have filed a case with the NH Attorney General's office, and have also filed a suit against him for his completely incompetent work. Check Facebook and with the NH AG's office. You will soon learn that I'm not the only victim of Shane Arcidiancono and SJA Concrete. This guy has ZERO right taking money from anyone to pour concrete. He has no idea what he's doing, and will leave your property in shambles. Beyond that, he has no conscience, so he will continue to take money from people for jobs that he's clearly not qualified to do! Do yourself a favor, and hire a far more skilled and competent concrete contractor! Even if SJA Concrete is half the price of any other concrete contractor out there, it still won't be worth it!
