Blodgett did not perform the work as outlined. He never entered the well although insisted he had when the bill was challenged. His original $250. charge to do the work was grossly inflated with travel time, etc. that he never indicated would be charge. The water sample he took was not mailed to the lab for several days and it failed testing and he never flushed all the hot and cold water lines which was evidenced by the amount of sentiment that still remained in most of the lines which then caused the lines to clog. When the bill was challenged he threatened to place a lien on the house knowing it was being sold.
Description of Work: Blodgett was hired to clean a well which had total coliform bacteria in it. He was to scrub the well by pumping it out, climb inside, bleach it, run the water through all hot/cold lines in the home, come back 24 hours later , take a sample and mail it to a lab immediately for testing. He was also asked to supply a new well cap to fit the well since the existing one was too small.
