Cold and wind did not slow down Merrill’s team to replace cedar siding on one side of my house. They showed up at 8 o’clock in the morning got right to work, stopped for their half an hour lunch break right back to work until darkness. Their quality of work was excellent, and paid attention to the little things. Nice job!!

Phil, Pat, and Trevor worked at our home repairing siding, trim, and framing for 7 weeks. Phil is nothing less than the Sherlock Holmes of home repair. He Is able to see things most others wouldn't and repair everything until it looks brand new. He is highly intelligent, passionate, and meticulous in his work. Phil sent us pictures and video of problem spots and explained everything to us as he went. His work ethic is impeccable and we were so happy with everything that was done. His team was amazing. Pat was an incredibly hard worker and so respectful of us and our property. Pat did an amazing job. Trevor worked along with them and we were very impressed with how hard he worked. He also did an amazing job. Clearly both Pat and Trevor make a great additions to Phil's team. There were many mistakes that the original builder made and although seemingly small they caused a huge amount of damage over the years. When Phil left we told him it was as good as new, though actually it is better than new. We were so happy to have them at our home and when all was said and done, they left our home much, much better than they found it. It was a pleasure doing business with them and we would highly recommend them to anyone that needs their services.

Heâ s a true sleuth and master when it comes to rot, especially. He and his excellent team, Patrick and Trevor, replaced several challenging areas of rot, fixed flashing and leaks, replaced siding, roofing, windows, and a large slider. Weâ d been avoiding such a big project, but it went very smoothly. Phil is a true professional who does top-notch work. I hired Phil to replace the wooden trim around two garage doors and a center entrance with PVC. Phil was reasonably priced and his attention to detail and standard for high quality work is second to none.

Dependable, honest, competent, and professional contractors are hard to find. Merrill's Home Repair and Renovations (MHRR) definitely fills that description. We sought a company to replace siding and the roof on our home. We chose MHRR based on excellent online reviews. Owner Phil Merrill promptly met us to give us an estimate. He not only came on a weekend, but also did a thorough inspection and calculated and presented a quote before he left. He emailed a detailed written estimate by the next day. His pricing was very competitive so we asked for references which he quickly provided. All of the several former customers were eager to give him unconditionally stellar recommendations. We hired MHRR and hoped for a similarly favorable experience. Having now had our work completed, I am happy to report that Phil & Co. lived up to the exceptional reports and reviews. From obtaining permits from a finicky historic district committee, through every detail of repairing our 260+ year old house, MHRR worked full and consecutive days until the project's end. Through the process, Phil was excellent about keeping in touch via, text, email, phone, and online calendar. The workmanship was excellent, and completed within the original estimates of time and cost. As stated in their slogan Phil & Co. are passionate about their work. As an unexpected bonus, Phil reused some original board removed from under the replaced siding and made us a finished river table he was clearly excited about making and giving us. Phil and his team did a great job repairing rotten trim boards, rebuilding door frames and deck railings, and repairing siding. All of his work was outstanding. He and his friendly team worked quickly and with solid quality (better than new). We would hire Phil again anytime. We were especially impressed with his attention to detail.

Phil and his team just completed a fairly massive siding and trim repair on our house. He started the job early, worked everyday (except when the weather prohibited it) and completed the job faster than I would have expected. All of the men were very courteous and kind. If I have another job I will definitely higher them again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
