I heard a buzzing sound coming from the electrical box and contacted Mr. Flanagan on Angie's list. He responded to my message within one hour, and he offered to come the following morning. Even with a snow storm that caused schools to be closed, Mr. Flanagan showed up promptly as scheduled, and proceeded to identify the problem and replace the faulty circuit breaker. He was extremely professional, and we will definitely call him for any electrical work in the future!

Ian and his crew installed recessed lights in all the bedrooms and did a great job.

Mostly pretty well. The guys showed up on time and worked quickly. For the most part everything went according to plan and they finished ahead of schedule. Their price as reasonable. You do have to stay on top of them to keep the mess down. They are experts at snaking wires but being electricians, they are not as careful at filling in the holes that are an inevitable by-product of snaking wires. They are very trustworthy and nice - which is really important.

I contacted Ian by email and he answered in a timely manner. Told him I wanted a chandelier replaced and also had some questions about installing some cable track lighting in another room. Made an appointment for the next week (June 30) and expected the chandelier to be installed then, but he just came to assess the situation and said he would be in touch to set up a time the next week. We got off to a bit of a disappointing start ( perhaps they are really busy and also I am rather impatient) but I did hear from him later that week and we made an appointment for July 10. Seamus arrived on schedule, was very professional and tidy and I am very pleased with the end result.

Ian and his crew were great! Ian was quick to reply to email, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He came out to give an estimate, and he had great suggestions for how to design our lighting, and also how to handle our TV. We had had other people out to give estimates for the TV, and all of them required we buy the mount and cables we'd need from them at huge markups. Ian suggested we buy them on Amazon at much more reasonable prices, and have him install them -- he also gave some great recommendations about specific products that he'd used. We really appreciated this approach, and so we went with Ian. He was able to accommodate the date that we'd requested, and also came a separate time to move an electrical outlet in the kitchen that we needed done sooner. When the time came, his crew of three came out -- they were really personable, thoughtful and careful, and did a terrific job -- we are thrilled with how everything looks, and will definitely use them again! I recommend them highly!

Ian was the most professional, trustworthy, reliable, and honest contractor with whom I have ever worked (and I have worked with many).

Excellent! Ian's two guys showed up promptly as scheduled. They were both very personable, got right to work and kept up a good pace all day long. Everything was left clean and tidy and they were very nice and sensitive to the fact that having 2 electricians in the house making some noise was making my elderly mother a bit agitated, so they tried to keep the noise level down. The work took 1-1/2 days and we were very pleased. Ian came over several times during the work to check on the progress and talk to his men and keep an eye on the job. They communicated with us very well and we will definitely use them in the future, as we were very, very pleased overall!

When I called for an estimate, Ian offered next day availability. Unfortunately I was traveling for work the next day but he worked with my schedule and arrived a few minutes early for the scheduled time. After finding out what I wanted done, he made suggestions that would actually provide a better solution and would not cost more. He emailed the estimate that night. The work was to be done on a Tuesday. Sunday afternoon he emailed me to see if the work could be done a day early (Monday) because another job finished early and two of his electricians were available. So I was able to have the work done a day early. The two electricians were the nicest "construction" people I have ever met. They showed up on time, showed me what they were doing every step of the way without being bothersome, and were incredibly courteous. They worked quickly and finished all of the work in about five hours - not an easy feat when snaking wiring through very old slat-framed walls from the basement to the attic and then back to second floor. They cleaned up the mess they made cutting holes in the walls and ceiling for the new outlets, jacks and ceiling fan - both vacuuming and mopping. They had make a small notch to help run wire down one wall. They asked before doing it and patched, spackled, and sanded the notch as soon as they no longer needed it. I would absolutely hire Ian Flanagan to do any electrical work for me in the future and highly recommend him.

After contacting him by e-mail and scheduling an appointment for the estimate, Ian came on time to the work site. As we went over the scope of work, Ian provided practical, money-saving suggestions for the type of circuits that would be most suitable for our needs and for what kind of bathroom fan to install. After the meeting, he promptly e-mailed me the estimate for the work which was very competitive as compared to another estimate that we obtained. Once we agreed to hire Ian for the job, he was prompt and flexible in scheduling the work date. Ian's employee came on time on the scheduled day and started on the job. He was later joined by Ian and another assistant. It took them all day to get everything done in spite of running into all sorts of difficulties running new wiring in our old house from the basement panel to the attic. They stayed late to ensure that all work was completed. The only thing that was not completed immediately was the installation of the cover plate for the bathroom light switches. Ian took care of that within a couple of days after I notified him about it. Throughout the process, from the initial contact to scheduling the initial visit and work, Ian was very friendly, responsive, and professional. It was a pleasure hiring him and interacting with him.

The experience was excellent. Ian was responsive when I initially called. He set up a time to come over that was convenient. HIs team showed up on time, were courteous, efficient, and did a great job. The price was fair and the workers were diligent in getting the work completed. Would definitely recommend Ian for any electrical work moving forward.

Prompt response. Reliable, kind, easy to work with, and knew his stuff! I had other electricians look at the same problems who could only give me a blank stare. Ian knew the solution. Highly recommend. Also, he's more reasonable than other electricians I've contacted.

Ian and his 2 assistants were prompt and professional. They were very friendly and respectful and worked hard all day to get the job done so that we could get our power back on in as short a time as possible. They left the house and the yard in spotless condition. I was very pleased and would hire them again.

After calls to many electricians that did not answer the phone or return voice mails, Ian did at least get back to me. It wasn't the speediest response ever, but he seemed friendly and profesional when he did return my call. But the work I needed was already completed.

Ian was very responsive and professional. He came and gave me an estimate, we set up a day to do the work and he and a crew member were there when stated. The work was completed and was very happy with what they did. Would certainly recommend him.

Ian Flanagan came within 20 minutes! A light was blinking and he sorted it. It was the holidays and then he came back afterwards to check everything was ok and only charged me for one housecall. He was really good. I would definitely use him again. He was knowledgeable and I am comfortable to have him in my home.

Ian is without question the finest contractor we have worked with on a project that has had all the trades involved. We interviewed several electricians and he was by far and away the most professional, responsive and fairly priced. We have recommended him to three individuals thus far. My only concern is he will get so busy given the quality of his work and his winning demeanor that there might be a long wait to get him to do more work for us!! If all of our contractors were as good as Ian, our project would have been done in half the alloted time and spot on budget.

He's a godsend! My general contractor quit for health reasons right after the demolition, taking my deposit most of his subs with him, and leaving me in an awful position. Ian called in favors, and got me great replacements for good prices on no notice. Ian is fast, very knowledgeable and professional, and really cheap per hour - he's a find! He's also a dream to work with. When he was here and I need help moving things or with small carpentry tasks, he pitched in. He should be on everyone's speed dial.
