Custom Pools Inc

Custom came to quote us for an install of a 20x40 inground kidney shape swimming pool. We had 4 quotes & visits from other pool companies prior. Custom was a bit lower in price than the other companies that came out but not enough to seal the deal. We went with them because we felt they were not trying to take advantage of us. The salesperson (Tory) was friendly, knowledgable and did not try to oversell us - we really appreciated the lack of trying to totally oversell us equipment and other items that were not necessary. The project manager even tried to talk us out of getting such a large pool deck and kept asking us if we were REALLY sure we needed all that decking. Nice! We had hoped for a relatively quick install but the weather pushed us back - not the fault of the company at all. Construction of an inground pool is frustrating and no matter who you go with, weather, soil, ledge, rock and overall land conditions will toss a wrench into the works; be prepared! Lots of huge granite boulders under our land to be dug out. The excavation crew was super in placing the boulders around the pool for landscaping :) From the excavators to the gunite and plaster crews, the company was just great. There were a few times when they arrived a bit late but, we were building a pool right in the middle of the busy season and it just so happened that last year was a huge year for swimming pool installs. Whenever we had questions or concerns, Tory was always available and happy to answer any questions we had - and we had many. Looking back, I am surprised they didn't fire us as customers :) we were always asking questions and calling for reassurance. We also recommend that anyone planning to get an inground pool do some research to help cut the frustration of the whole process. It's not as simple as dig a hole and pour, fill with water and swim and no matter how many times the pool builder will tell you this, you'll not want to believe them because visions of sparkly water are dancing through your head! We would recommend Custom Pools Inc., absolutely!
