Description of Work: Install an in-ground gunite pool.

Description of Work: We contracted Custom Pools to do an acid wash and total tile replacement for our in ground pool. They sent two service people who were less than professional and clearly not well trained in their roles, because our newly washed and whitened in ground pool turned dark brown less than 12 hours after they left. Upon seeing the dark water the following morning, we called Custom Pools immediately and asked them to tend to the issue ASAP. They showed up quickly, which we were thankful for, but we soon lost faith in their ability to correct the issue when the "technician" reported that it wasn't their fault that it turned a muddy brown color... they said, and I quote exactly as one of the workers said it, "your pool has allergies".... they used the word "allergy" repeatedly as they stared at my dark brown water, so it was clearly a lack of education that led to the mess and their lack of awareness that the metals from my well water should be filtered if used, but preferably not used at all when refilling it. I'm sure he intended to say the pool water has algae, but he most certainly did not say that, and it still would have been incorrect. The tiles that were installed began falling out the following spring when water got behind a few tiles that were not sealed properly, and it was all down hill from there. Additionally, our underwater pool light suddenly didn't work after the job was finished, so we called Custom Pools to ask for their help in fixing it since we had used it for the previous 6 years regularly without any issue whatsoever. They denied any responsibility for it and did not come out to help fix it. They did, however, cash my check. When talking to neighbors, friends and others in the pool business about our challenging experience, we learned from a few folks who are in the local pool business that the two guys who were sent to do our acid wash and tile job were actually "blowers" and not trained tile installers. Of course I had to ask what a "blower" was and they told me they're the ones who hold the big fire hose that blows the plaster or other material onto the pool when repairing or restoring it. For $6000 I expected Custom Pools to send a trained tile expert who understands that pools do not suffer from allergies!
