Description of Work: Their service is too expensive. You'd have to make ALOT of long distance land line phone calls for this to be worth it. The person I spoke with wasn't interested in spending any time in discussing Bay Ring's service with me. I don't know whether Bay Ring offers a lesser tier of service, but I don't believe so. | |It took me several attempts to reach someone at Bay Ring. I called after hours thinking I would be able to leave a message requesting a return call. Believe it or not Bay Ring, a phone company, doesn't have an answering service.

I was happy with the people coming to my office to perform services. They were very accomodating to my time table and needs. Other than the unforseen problems on the fairpoint end, services were performed quickly and efficiently. I had enough training on how to utulize their services and who to call if I had problems. Any time I have a question, I get right through to a human and they fix the problem or concern immediately.
Description of Work: had internet and land line installed in my office. They ran into some problems with the fairpoint lines they use, but they kept me up to date and well informed as to when the problems would be fixed. Good price, great service.

Unethical business. BEWARE
Description of Work: Thank you Bayring Communications for screwing up the install to my internet, making me call you a hundred times to fix it and then charging me for the next 3 months for internet when I couldn't use it, refusing to give me a refund or a discount. I am very displeased with your services. Additionally, you are now refusing to port my number and making my life difficult. My business has suffered under more than one occasion because of your company's inconsistencies. I have reported you to the BBB and I intend on using my first amendment rights to let others know about your shady operation.

Response from Bayring Communications
Please accept this response as a clarification and alternative viewpoint. BayRing is not refusing to release the phone numbers to the new carrier. We are compelled to follow proper rules / regulations with regard to the porting of numbers (this is to protect consumers / businesses from having their phone numbers ported away improperly). The winning carrier must present proper information to us to port the number away, after several attempts they have not been able to comply with this basic regulation (much to the chagrin of all parties involved). We are more than a willing partner in trying to port the phone numbers away to the winning carrier and unfortunately it has been a struggle for them to provide the right information thus far. Unfortunately the business relationship here was not satisfactory for either party. BayRing responded to the complaint sent to the BBB. After reviewing our response and subsequent communications with the BBB, the BBB has decided that BayRing should continue to maintain its A+ rating
