Bernard and his workers did a great job, took a little longer than we expected because of scheduling conflicts. They removed old broken up concrete floor and about 8 " of dirt from under. Then installed 8" of crushed stone and a reinforced 4" concrete floor over, and finished with a sealer. Finished floor looks great, and they did a complete clean up. Haven't driven on it yet as it has been less than a week. I would hire again for any concrete work.

It went very well. The owner of the company, Bernard, did not come to see the area until the snow melted. He wanted to see what the existing surface looked like. I was unsure which way was the best to go to get what I wanted. I needed space for another car and I wanted a situation where any of the 3 cars could get in and out of the driveway. The existing driveway was a single lane space that could accommodate 3 cars in a single row with great difficult and two cars would be blocked from exiting. The existing driveway was made of 2 different styles of pavers. I was unsure which material would be best, although I had performed research on the durability of cement vs asphalt vs pavers. Bernard listened to my expectations and came back a second time with quotes for different materials. He discussed which trees I would allow him to remove to configure the space to allow another exit from the driveway. It was obvious he put some thought into the plan; he designed a space that gave us a couple parking options, made it so that an of the3 cars could exit the driveway and provided another egress. He explained the options regarding materials and advised that asphalt would look good and work well. The roots of a large tree made the surface curve upwards and asphalt was the best option. Bernard and his crew could not have been more professional and respectful. Bernard request a down payment of just $100.00 to start the job and I did not receive an invoice until maybe 3 days after the job was completed. He sent the invoice and then showed up at my door to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I had paid the invoice online upon receipt and I let him know I was very pleased. My neighbors had witnessed how quickly the job had been accomplished and hired him to do a job for them.

I signed a contract in mid July 2015, I was told they would be there in 2 weeks. Finally showed up in Sept and took 9 weeks to complete. Driveway started to disintegrate 2 months later. They have put off coming to fix the problem. Each time they say they will come they have never shown up. My job has been paid for so they are not Interested in fixing the problem correctly. I am forced to contact a lawyer to get anything done.

Great job done. The reason for the low mark is this: the walkway would run parallel to our driveway which is asphalt. My husband spoke with Bernard and specifically requested that they use a concrete saw to cut the edge of the asphalt which was about 5 feet long, so it would look neat up against the new concrete. Bernard was not on site the day this was done, and one of his helpers dug it out with a shovel. It looked awful. Bernard responded right away and the asphalt was cut with a special saw, but the edge of the asphalt was now farther over than we wanted it. | We did check 3 references that were very happy with Bernard's work. The patio and walkway look very nice, but that issue with the way the asphalt was cut really turned us off. I would recommend that you hire him only if he is on-site only for the whole job. | |
