Description of Work: they were suppose to repair a broken gas line to our gas range but after they left, we could still smell. We called them back and they retightened the fittings and left; needless to say it started leaking again. We then called our propane supplier and they came right-over and fixed the problem. We have used EnergyNorth ever since for repairs. This happened in 2004 or 2005. Other then repairs, we have had good luck in purchasing what we needed from Baron's at there Belmont location.

They are a good service company. We bought the item because of the price and their service. They had the best price and the quality of the item was good. Their responsiveness was good when we contacted them to get the work set up and they were very prompt. They were also very professional.
Description of Work: The last time that we used Baron's was probably a couple of years ago when we bought an appliance from them.

Not well at all. Went in and purchase a refrigerator based on professional measurements. I explained I wanted a white refrigerator with a bottom pull out freezer. I was shown one and the salesman said it would be perfect for my space. I also explained I needed the door to open left to right. I was told the refrigerator would be there on Thursday. This is the First refrigerator. It arrived and it was too big. I had to send back and stop the donation of old refrigerator. I was very upset and went back to the store. The salesman was very sorry and also stated it was his 3rd refrigerator that didn't fit that day. I brought a friend with me and I asked the salesman to look up her model refrigerator and he said he had it in white and was identical. I now purchased sight unseen since they had to order but felt comfortable since I new my friends refrigerator. This is now my second purchase and I was told it couldn't come for another 7 days. Again I asked for the door to open left tonight with a pull out freezer. I set up donation again and waited. Finally, day arrived and old refrigerator was emptied again and the 3 delivery men were rude and when I stated the door was not opening left to right they said call the salesman which I did and they unhappily changed door. When refrigerator finally was in the house it was smaller than ordered and parts were missing. I was very upset and the delivery men again stated call the salesman or we can just take it back. I called and the spoke with the manager Rob Williams who stated that I could change refrigerator and to keep it. I believed him and the old one was picked up for donation. After NUMEROUS calls I never received a call back from the MANAGER ROB WILLIAMS. I then went on barons web site and lodged a complaint and also chatted with a representative from and quot;amanaand quot; via web chat. The woman stated that they would note my complaints and sent me a site where I could get a missing part. Not until after did I receive and email from the MANAGER ROB WILLIAMS stating that he NEVER said he would call me back and then claimed I wanted the salesman fired. I still have email and plan to use it when filing with BBB. He also stated that he credited me for the missing pieces and the model of the refrigerator was updated. I wrote back stating that his sales staff should be more aware of the products they are selling and he should of called back which would of been the professional way to handle. Now I have a smaller refrigerator that I didn't want and missing parts that he told me to go buy? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY AND NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH BARONS. Update: It's a component that comes from the manufacturer, not the ice trays themselves. It's a component that holds ice trays so you have more room in your freezer.

Was very impressed with how all the details of the purchase and delivery fell into place after being a little skeptical in the beginning. I even changed the delivery date after the initial purchase to an earlier date without any problems. The delivery was on time and completed in a professional manner.
Description of Work: Deliver and set- up Bosch Washer & Dryer units in small closeted area.

They charged me for the installation, where as other stores do not. I will not use them again. I did not find them as friendly or helpful as home depot.

We purchased two new appliances from Baron's. We had a 5 day wait for delivery. When the appliances were delivered... they were dropped off in the boxes and then the delivery crew left. Immediately we removed the boxes and we realized one of the appliances had been signifcantly damaged at some point. We immediately called the company (this was on a Saturday) we were told there was nothing they could do until the following week and that another delivery would not be possible until probably the following Thursday. We asked that a manager call us first thing Monday morning. We did receive a call from the company on Monday morning to reschedule the delivery. I had to ask to speak to a manager about the problems. I was transferred to one and he was able to accommodate a quick resolution at that point... and after some debate did agree to have the company install the appliance for us at no extra charge. The appliance was delivered and installed the next day without any further issues. All in all, a bit of a bumpy experience... but it did end ok. Our concerns about this experience were that the company should have inspected merchandise that was to be delivered in advance (as what we received was blatantly/obviously damaged) and that the company should have had a better system in place to deal with issues that come up with weekend deliveries (and not tell their customers that there is "nothing they can do until next week.")
