Bruce was great to work with!! He is respectful, conscientious, prices are fair and most impressive, he is a very good problem solver!! He is respectful of his customer's needs and of both the character and charm as well as the limitations present in an older house. We did not have a GC on this project despite how involved it was, and Bruce helped me a great deal with scheduling and coordinating with other contractors. Greatly appreciate his help. I will definitely call him again for future projects

The decking was framed and a custom reinforced platform built for a sunken hot tub. During the construction, Bruce Bova was patient and responsive to my suggestions and requests. The project was completed on time and on budget (the moderate add-on cost resulted from my request for the hot tub platform to be sunken). Working with the Nexan interlocking extruded aluminum decking and aluminum railing materials was not completely straightforward. However, Bruce and his small team worked quickly and patiently (cutting extruded aluminum is not as easy or as forgiving as wood or vinyl). He was also very good at reading and interpreting plans from the manufacturers CADD group. I helped out with the aluminum decking cutting process and also installed most of the Azek to the deck faces and posts. The final product was excellent and has been admired by all our guests. Indeed, one of our neighbors was so impressed with our new deck that they have decided to install a Nexan deck and railings on their house. The final installment of the three projects undertaken by BJ Carpentry replaced the old drafty single layer siding with a clean and attractive vinyl siding (Several pictures of the deck with the new siding are posted). Given that Bruce was dealing with more unknowns and challenges and that I also requested some changes to the materials used as the job progressed, this job took longer than projected was about 1/3 more expensive than originally estimated. However, his team who did the work were extremely patient, very accommodating to my suggestions and requests and clearly cared about the quality of their work. Although we have not yet experienced winter, our furnace comes on less often now that we have the new siding. We have also received many complements about the new look of the house. Lastly, a comment on my request to cut off the external section of steel I beam - Bruce obtained an oxyacetylene torch, arrived one Saturday morning and cut it off without incident - it turns out that he is an experienced welder!

Bruce is excellent to work with for among many the following primary reasons: 1. Is punctual and does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. Returns calls, is very service oriented. 2. Prices his work very fairly and works exceptionally hard to make sure we were always happy with his work product. 3. Is thoughtful in how he approaches work that needs to be done and is easy to work with on custom projects taking our ideas into account and helping us come with ideas that would work best given his vast experience.

Fantastic! Bruce remodeled my 100 year old barn and created a beautiful yoga studio. He installed new windows, all new wiring and electric, created a bathroom and a sauna, tiled floors, installed stairs, painted and installed interior trim around windows and doors. The outcome was beautiful and I am very happy with it. He had everything done in time for my grand opening.

Excellent. Bruce showed up when he said he would. We will have projects for him in the future.
