Easy sailing from start to finish. I have known this group for a long time. Cannot beat the quality and price. Worth every penny. Hopefully they remember this stellar review when pricing out our next project lol
Description of Work: Siding and 2 car garage and everything that goes with it
This was the best experience. I had 16 different projects I asked them to complete. Being in the military, my work can take me away a lot. I cannot express how great it was to be able to trust the people working in my home while I was away. Although there were a lot of delays due to this lovely New England weather, they kept me in the loop through email and text and still managed somehow to finish the work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone (which I have a ton already) and am always happy to be contacted as a reference.

Honey-I-Want-Done-List complete thanks to this team. I was more than willing to write a review when asked. As someone that use to work in the construction field all their life until becoming hurt, it should not be taken lightly when I say I would recommend them. I must admit I was up butts the entire time asking how they were going to approach each situation and what ideas they had. Each time I was impressed. The office woman really kept on top of everything. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Sided my house, new vinyl windows, PT decking to composite, kitchen remodel, new pantry closet and some finish basement work
We worked with Prudential at the beginning of the year and they did such a great job that we decided to work with them again and boy did we go all out. We took the leap, got a home equity loan and did everything we wanted to do from siding to decking to even closet work. We could not be more pleased if we tried. I did get other quotes in the beginning, but you would not believe the number of contractors that do not respond to calls or emails. I had two contractors that came out and never even sent me over a quote. Thank you Shannon for always keeping us in the loop. I would give you all a higher grade if there was one.

Initially they were very responsive, but there were many delays getting the work done due to they were working other jobs simultaneously. The lady we worked with was very good and responsive. I have had to finish the job they did not complete myself. I will not recommend or use them, again.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, your electrical panel had to be updated do to faulty wiring. As you know, this is what caused the delay. The electrician needed to schedule you in for more time for the work. We could not finish our work until the electrical was complete. I can appreciate the desire to have projects completed as quickly as possible, but when unforeseen circumstances arise, we have to have some sort of patience while it gets finished. As for the work you completed yourself, replacing the two hinges that we installed (which was an extra at no cost) for white ones you wanted instead of the brush nickel does not mean we did not complete the work. It was a change after the work was complete and I did tell you I would schedule someone to get there as soon as I could. I, however, am the same way and would have done it myself also. I am very happy your project turned out as you wanted it.

The project went very well. This was my first time doing anything like this and I must admit, I was extremely nervous. So nervous in fact that I had 7 estimates done. We ultimately decided to go with Prudential Remodeling for a few reasons. The amount of communication that I received was unparalleled. They were patient with all of my emails (I feel like I sent them 20 at least) and always had the answers. Another reason we decided to go with them was because of Kevin. He was not only very knowledgable but his whole demeanor was pleasant. We could not be more thrilled about the quality of work that he and his team did. We will definitely be using them again. We have already had friends as for his information because of the work.

I've hired Prudential Remodeling annually for the past three years for projects around the house and I plan to hire them again this summer - Kevin, Shannon, and their crew are honest, dependable, hardworking folks that are always a pleasure to work with. The guys demolished and removed the existing shed and built a new one about 1.5x the size from the ground up. They treated the build like a house - adding a Tyvek wrap around the exterior plywood and then sided and trimmed the shed to match the house. They even went so far as to find matching roof shingles, so it looks like a mini-version of my house in the backyard. I was very impressed. And as far as the deck refacing goes, that project went smooth as glass. At first, I thought the whole deck would need to be replaced, but Kevin went underneath and took a look at the structural components and he thought everything looked good. They added some lateral supports which tightened the deck right up and made it feel new again. Kevin gave me color options and pricing (I had no idea that the composite material cost was dependent on the colors chosen) - I went with a color scheme that matched the existing And the end result was better than I expected - basically every wood component directly exposed to the elements was either replaced or covered by composites. It just so nice knowing that I don't have to worry about splinters or painting that deck ever again.
Description of Work: This review is related to my latest project with Prudential Remodeling this past summer - replace (and upgrade) an existing shed and give my largest deck a face-lift with new composite boards and rails.

Kevin and his crew were outstanding. The work was performed 7 months ago and have had no problems with anything . The replacement windows and the vinyl siding performing well in both the hot and frigid temperatures. Kevin and his crew were terrific to work with and attentive to details, plus I am very pleased with the quality of the windows and the siding, and the workmanship at a reasonable price.

The folks at Prudential Remodeling did an amazing job getting rid of our old kitchen and giving us a brand new one. They would show up to work precisely on time, and worked quickly and professionally, and addressed every concern/nitpicking thing we came up with. The work included the services of a plumber, electrician, floor installers, granite counter people, and plasterers, and everyone did a great job. They kept in constant contact with us at every stage of the process, so we were never in the dark or wondering about what was going on at any given time. They worked within our busy schedule and were always available for questions or little extra tweaks that needed doing. We're definitely going back to them to remodel our bathroom when the time comes.

They're great. The work is done. They finished it like 3 weeks ago. It was my parent's house. They were timely and cost effective and worked with us. They were good. Good estimate. They worked with us when we were trying to not have my parents pay as much as the total estimate. So he let us pay the difference and didn’t tell them, which is what we wanted. They were timely. There's no improvements I can think of. It was finished within a week. Yes, I would use them again.

Very satisfied with the bath remodel. Kevin and team did a great job. He ensured that my concerns were addressed. Shannon managed everything well and she was prompt in communication. This was most important thing for me since we had to plan our schedule accordingly. Honest and very professional. Highly recommended !
Kevin and his crew are the best contractors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Kevin's wife Shannon was quick to respond to emails and always kept us in the loop. Kevin is very knowledgeable and a true craftsman. He came up with some great tiling patterns. Prudential Remodeling did a great job and in a timely manner. We are so happy with the workmanship that I have already scheduled Prudential to replace all my windows. I highly recommend Prudential Remodeling.

I met Kevin at a mutual friends wedding last year. We started taking about work and when he told me what his profession was, I was pretty excited. My wife talked him into coming the next day to look at our kitchen. In fairness, I wanted him to come out asap as well. So glad he did. After getting a couple of other quotes for good measure, we decided to go with Kevin. He was a little higher priced than one of the other contractors, but he was extremely knowledgeable and gave great input. I was glad when I was asked to write a review for them because that company is amazing. Shannon got right back to my wife within an hour. Didn't matter the time. We decided to hire them for other projects as well which I need to write reviews for. Amazing company. Amazing people. Highly recommend.

Thank you for the great review. We greatly appreciate your feedback and giving us the opportunity to work with you.
This bathroom was a tricky one. When the walls were taken down (hideous wall tile all the way up the wall), we discovers that the plumbing was COMPLETELY wrong. I was in full panic mode, but typical Kevin was relaxed and reassuring. He had his plumber come in and was very transparent about the whole thing. He didn't charge me one cent above what the plumber charged him. What contractors do that now a days? I am so greatful. My bathroom came out gorgeous. The only issue I had was one of the tiles was chipped. I called Kevin and writhing a couple of days it was replaced. Thank you so much for being so great and thank you Shannon for being so quick with your responses. Do you ever sleep? :)
Description of Work: Bathroom gutted to studs and completely replaced.
Amazing. I am a repeat customer. Kevin had remodeled my kitchen in my last place (which I ended up selling due to a new work location). He and his team did an amazing job with that project so I decided to call him again about my new projects. One of the main ones was my kitchen...if you could call it that. He changed out everything. Cabinets, countertop, backsplash, pantry, painted, etc. he is always very pleasant and fair with pricing. I had considered getting the cabinets myself at first, but when I compared their price to Kevin's, I saved $2,300. That was huge. Same cabinets and everything I highly recommend Kevin and his team. Thanks again guys. On o write my next review about the bathroom.

(posted date on 9/25/2017) It is very disturbing to see an “A” rated contractor make up stories and twist facts in order to make his reviewer look bad. This contractor originally had his response posted around early January shortly after my first review was posted. During the process of resolving the dispute with help from Angie’s List that same month, the contractor’s wife, Shannon, stated in the email dated on Jan21 that they confused me with someone else in my town as who also had a bathroom deal. They had Angie’s List remove their mistaken response shortly after that email. Therefore I did not send my comments to Angie’s List, even though I already had them written. Surprisingly, they later had it put back with a few changes that I mention below. I did not notice until recently. “This was to remove and replace items in the bathroom. He bought a bathroom deal and changed the deal dramatically but even though it cost us on our end, we only charged him a small portion extra because of the amount of tile work. He agreed to this change and we proceeded. “ In their original response, they stated “When we showed up, he decided to replace a standard tub with a much larger whirlpool tub. This changed the deal dramatically but even though it cost us on our end.” The original tub was a whirlpool tub the same size as the new one. The 5’ alcove tub was surrounded by walls on three sides. If the tub is larger, which can only increase in height and depth due to the surrounding walls, it would only help to reduce the amount of tile work on the surrounding walls. If necessary, the previous owners of my house should still remember what kind of tub they had for many years. “After quite a bit of back and forth and some very abusive language from the customer to my wife, she asked him to not contact us again.” I would like to ask this contractor to show everyone here what kind of “very abusive language” I used. In his original response he stated “some very abusive language from the customer to my wife through email (which we have)”. This is very frustrating and feels like he is trying to shovel words into my mouth, as I did not use any abusive language. I strongly ask this contractor to provide the evidence to support his accusation. I still have all the email communications between him/his wife and myself. The fact is that she asked me not to contact her again and asked their lawyer Bill (whom she claimed to be bcc’d) to document our communications after I refused her request to sign the “Release of Contract” in the email dated on Dec. 2, 5:17pm. “He is all of the sudden complaining of some tiles bumping out and plumbing issues. We brought up the bump in the existing wall to the Customer, but he did not want pay any extra for it to be fixed.” How could I raise the issue sooner, since both the wall tiles and bathtub faucet installations were done at the end of the project? And what difference would it make if the contractor would not fix them anyway? He brushed off the tile issue by claiming the walls behind were uneven. As mentioned in my original review, all three walls surrounding the tub were stripped down to studs and new cement boards were installed before the tiles were put on. If there were still bumps in the walls, that could only be caused by the poor workmanship of the newly installed cement boards. The cracking found later in the grout at both wall intersections show another aspect of the tiling quality issue of this project. I told him I would pay $800 more than the contract to fix these issues when he was at my house on Dec.2 morning. He declined and took the final payment according to our contract and left. About an hour later, his wife sent me an email asking me to pay the extra $800 or pay $500 extra and sign the “Release of the contract”, otherwise “we have our attorney place a lien on your home which will effect any future refinancing or sales of your property today.” “As far as plumbing, he hired his own plumber and if I had to guess, cannot reach him and wants someone to have to pay for the issues.” This is the self-contradictory part between this response and his original response. His original response stated “We told him we would only be charging him $800 extra which is what the plumber and electrician charged us above what was anticipated.” Now he changed his story, saying that I hired the plumber, therefore he is not responsible for the plumbing issue. This contractor probably forgot that he/his wife and myself had quite a few email exchanges that clearly show the plumber was hired by him. I don’t want to copy-paste all the emails here since they would be hard to read, but if Angie’s List is willing to look into these emails, I would be more than happy to provide them. “The sad thing is, Angies List allows members to place false reviews with out any sort of back up. No matter what he signed. threats of writing a bad review if we didn't remedy his issues, nor his swearing and name calling mattered to them. We appreciate all our reviews but Angies List is overrun with false ones. Very frustrating for the hard working contractors that do the right thing.” I would like to see his list of my “false” reviews so I can back up my reviews with concrete evidence. If necessary, I suggest both sides send their respective evidence to Angie’s List to determine who has valid evidence. In addition, I never mentioned that I would write a review, let alone use that to make any threat. Angie’s List’s agent asked me to write a review when I contacted them for help after the contractor threatened to put a lien on my house. The agent told me the review would be used to start the dispute process. This contractor stated that Angie’s List was overrun by false reviews. I’m curious as to what would motivate home owners to write negative reviews of the contractors if they had not had any negative experiences. On the other hand, some contractors could be motivated by the rating to hire someone to write false positive reviews like what had happened to some vendors at some online stores. “Also, we were given an F in punctuality and quality. I find this funny because we started this job 2 weeks earlier than the start date at his request and we got nothing but positive feedback from him.” I got this contractor’s promise in email that the project would be finished during the Thanksgiving Day week. The following is an excerpt from their email to me dated on 11/13/16 at 2:26pm. “Yes the job will be finished the following week.” The project was planned to be finished in a week but ended up taking two weeks with outstanding major issues. I would love to give this contractor a high rating if he did what an “A” rated contractor would do, i.e. be honest, and fix his major quality issues. “Why would he pay the final payment if it was not done correctly or how he wanted it? Now he is complaining? Had it been one of our plumbers, this would not be an issue.” If I had known what would happen afterwards, I would not have made the final payment. If this contractor had not threatened to put a lien on my house, I would have let it go and moved on. The truth is that they still did not want to deal with it, even though it was their plumber. I am amazed by the fact that he kept denying he hired the plumber. “We got a C for price, but he was given many discounts. His actual price was $6,200 not the $6900 he is reporting. Not to mention this customers bathroom was 12sqft bigger than what what was originally covered. Which means according to the big deal they purchased, they should have been charged $70/sq beyond the 40sq ft limit. WE DID NOT CHARGE THIS CUSTOMER THAT. We are not in this business to get rich. We are only trying to make a living.” My justification to the “C” rating for the price was considering the $800 extra being asked for after the work was done, especially considering all the major quality issues I described in my original review. This contractor did charge me $1,600 for the extra square feet. The total amount on the contract shows $6, 300. But that does not include the $599 I paid thru Angie’s List to purchase the deal. Therefore the total amount was $6,300+$599=$6,899 which was rounded to $6,900 in my original review. I was able to get $599 back from Angie’s List after the dispute resolution process. But this happened weeks after my original review and his initial response was posted. And it was only because I was a Silver member of Angie’s List. The dispute was still not resolved as of today. None of the issues were fixed, either, except that I personally put the gasket in with a channel lock borrowed from my HVAC contractor. Below shows how the number in the contract is added up,The Big Deal was $6,499. I paid the $599 deposit thru Angie’s List. Thus, the contract price is $5,900-$1,200 (material allowance) +$1,600 (extra cost for area exceeding 40 square feet) =$6,300. In addition, it should be pointed out that this contractor had the size in square feet of my bathroom wrong in his response. Finally, the lessons learned: Even highly rated Angie’s List contractors could potentially be a bad contractor. A contractor really shows who he/she is when a project encounters problems. Always have your contractor to sign the waiver of the lien when you make your final payment. Keep all the relevant documents and emails until the project is complete without any lingering issues. Thanks for reading my lengthy review. Best wishes and good luck to all Angie’s List members.
Description of Work: (Original review (posted on 12/29/2016) Remodel the main bathroom. The project was started on Nov. 17 and finished on Dec. 2 of 2016. On Dec. 2, Kevin Sullivan from Prudential Remodeling showed up. We raised several issues with him. One of the main issues was the wall tiles surround the tub were not even. Some of them can be easily noticed standing many feet away. He said the walls were not even because it was not a new construction. However, the old walls were stripped down to studs and new cement boards were installed to the the studs except the vicinity to the ceiling. Another issue was the height of the shower system. The plumber did not follow the installation instruction (We reminded him about the faucet height before hand). Kevin said he could not fix the issues. Another question we had that day was about the extra gasket lying under the tub. He said that was an extra that we did not have to worry about. But we found it the hard way two days later. The drop ceiling underneath the tub got flooded due to the leak from the pipe joint. The "extra" gasket was missing in the joint. Later, Kevin asked us to pay $800 more than what was on the contract we signed. We was very surprised that he would ask for more for a subpar job they had done. If extra cost were incurred, he should let us know before the actual work was performed, which was clearly stated in the contract. We told him that we were willing to pay the extra if he could fix the issues we raised. He declined and took the final payment according to the contract. Shortly afterward, we received an email from Shannon Sullivan who threatened to put a lien on our house if we did not pay the $800. Later that day, she asked us to signed the release of the contract by the end of that day to avoid a lien put on our house and also "DO NOT CONTACT US AGAIN". We told her that we would like to go thru Angie's List first since this was where we bought the big deal. The last message from her was at 5:17pm of Dec.2 where she asked their lawyer to move forward. Another issue was discovered last week is that the grout is cracking where the tiled walls meet. There are two places. One of them is about 3 feet long. This was found after very light use (less than 10 times). Since we have been asked not to contact them again, we have not contacted Prudential Remodeling about the leaking due to the gasket and the grout cracking.

We got a C for price, but he was given many discounts. We are only trying to make a living.

After using Prudential Remodeling to remodel our bathrooms, when it was time to remodel our kitchen, the only inquiry I made was to Kevin and Prudential Remodeling. You just cannot beat their prices, the workmanship, professionalism and communication. Kevin showed up on time to get the work started. He worked hard to meet the date needed to have the granite company come in to do the template for our countertops. He made sure he was at my house the day the granite folks came out to install the countertops so that he could finish the sink and faucet. We could not have been more pleased with the work that was done at our house. Thanks for everything.
Description of Work: Remodel of kitchen - Remove old cabinets, countertop, sink and paint. Replace with new cabinets and hardware.
