Joe is very professional, responsive, and a nice guy to boot. His price was right in the ballpark I had in mind, and came in under another bid I got. When he came out to give me the estimate, he was patient and answered all my questions and explained everything they would do. Then they sent a very detailed quote with lots of information (I'm a sucker for information!). No surprises. I told them I was hoping to have the roof done ASAP, and they got it done even faster than I imagined. They were here on the 2nd business day after the permit was issued, and they completed the whole roof in one day. The roof looks great and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I am extremely pleased. Also, he warrants his work for 15 years - which was another big selling point.

He is the best contractor that we have every worked with. He was reliable, courteous, and pleasant to work with. He has excellent workmanship.

Arone exteriors was great. My experience began w/ being in touch w/ Ann Marie who was always fast to respond, courteous and thorough in her communications regarding the quote, timing, and all necessary items for the roofing job. As for the quote, we received 5 quotes for the work ranging from $6000 - 17,000. We went with Joe because we felt most comfortable with him, his openness and clear responsiveness in the quoting process. Joe and his team were excellent on the job, too. They arrived on time, got right to work, and completed the job thoroughly, and as advertised. Even though we had agreed that there might be extra work to be done (chimney flashing) and that it was ok to do, Joe still called to be 100% sure that I was ok w/ the work and the pricing for the work. After completion, we were pleased to return to our home completely debris free - all nails, mess completely cleaned up as advertised as well, and we were provided the full warrantee information in neat, professional folder. We highly recommend Arone, and will use them again for any exterior work we need.

Joe was absolutely professional from beginning to end. The materials he brought with him at the appointment for the estimate were great because they answered a lot of those important questions that you may forget to ask about during the interview (licensing, permits, where they park, his insurance). He was extremely thorough and I felt comfortable with hiring him. His price came in right where I felt it should - it s never cheap to do anything, but it was a good value for a fair price. They were on time, fast, and cleaned up extremely well. No nails in the driveway!! Really good experience.

Got 3 estimates from roofing companies on Angies List. Arone was the cheapest. Joe was great and always picks up the phone when I called. Had to wait a few weeks to get the job done as he appears to be very busy. Job was complete in about 2 long days. Nice job - Thanks Joe & Arone

Fantastic experience working with this company. Very quick, precise work and clean up amazing. We had pre-bought a lot of the materials (another person was going to do the work but never showed up) but overall the best pricing and most professional.

Joe is an exemplary professional and very down to earth. He made the whole experience of getting a quote for the re-roofing a pleasant discussion and asked me if I had questions. We ended up making the decision to use our contractor because he came unexpectedly available. Otherwise we would have been using Joe out of the 6 companies we contacted. His quote was very reasonable and the materials suggested are well respected in the industry. The contractor we already had a track record with. He had redone our porch, some house siding, and our basement sills.

I obtained quotes from 6 different contractors. Joe Arone's quote came in about the middle of the group, actually a little more than the least expensive 3. What distinquished his quote from the others was the degree of detail provided in how he would strip and re-shingle the roof...including what materials would be used the reasons for using them, the specs of installation (e.g. such as how far out from roof penetrations he would use water-sealing). He also included a quote for the gutters we could visibly see required replacement, and an additional quote for those that needed closer inspection to determine whether they needed replacement. I was given good advice about going to a showroom to see mock-ups of different color/type of shingles which greatly helped me decide color choices. The other contractors quotes were no where near as comprehensive (one actually just gave me a $ quote with no detail), thus required many more questions from me. Each time I asked about different materials etc., or details about installation the other contractors increased the quote. In short, they failed to provide sufficient detail so that I could properly compare actual costs for the same materials and the same installation specs. This detail was the primary rationale for selecting Arone. I knew what I was getting, and I got what I contracted for at the price that was quoted. The job was scheduled and completed as scheduled (with a small delay caused by weather). The area around the house was picked up completely...nothing left behind. There was particular attention paid to a problem-prone area of the roof. The crew worked very neatly, and were very polite. They even replaced burnt-out spot lights for me, after I mentioned it to Joe. The roof looks wonderful!

The space between our home and our neighbors is small, so Arone had to work around the tight space. They parked the dumpster in front of our house. They used a tarp on my closest neighbors house to prevent any damage from falling shingles. Joe Arone and crew were very punctual, friendly and responsive. I was home with my 2 small children through most of this project and while yes, it was a little loud, Arone was very professional. They stopped working when I needed to get in and out with my kids. The whole job took one full day and 2 half days to work around the weather. If it hadn't rained, I'm sure they would have completed it in 2 full days. In addition to the 3 layers of shingles, they removed a lot of brick from our roof - 2 chimneys to below our roofline. We actually had a hole in the brick that you could see from our attic, so it was very unstable and unsafe for us. The brick was removed day one with very little mess by the time I saw it. They tarped as much as possible, raked, used a magnet to collect misc. nails. On the final day, clean up was excellent for the amount of debris that had fallen. I would recommend Arone to anyone else in need of a new roof. Excellent job!

They came in under budget. Took a few days for them to show up.

The proposal for work was detailed and they completed every item in the list. There were no surprises and they did the work as promised. Joe (the owner) showed up on time and he and his staff are great. They left my home spotless when they left. I would hire them again!

I called for an estimate and he was at my house within an hour. He came prepared with references, sample contract, sample roofing tiles. He gave me an estimate, by email, within a few days. Once the contract was signed, it was a week or so before the work was done. It was done in one day. When I got home everything was done and all clean. He stopped by the next day to get paid. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

The crew left my lawn and the entire area surrounding the house clean. The roof repair- which I can't see- I assume to be of superior quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone- and have already!

Excellent angieslist find!! Both Ann and Joe are a great team and were a delight to work with. They responded promptly, quickly and were very professional, friendly and courteous. Ann found a energy saver shingles which helped us get 30% tax credit. Will definitely recommend this company and will use them for any exterior projects they are capable of performing.

Said they would come out, but never really did. I called back and talked to someone who said they had been busy but someone would be out. No one ever came so I called a different company. I also tried corresponding with them via email after I never received a visit or call but there was still no response.

Our windows were very old and leaky, Arone Exteriors replaced 10 windows with beautiful new energy efficient fold out windows. They also repaired and replaced roof shingles after we experienced a severe ice dam problem last winter. The work was done expertly and quickly. The windows are great and make my house look better and feel warmer than before. I am very happy with all the work that was done.

They were great. When I got the proposal package, they had already included their licenses, insurance and references. I asked other companies for that information but it was like pulling teeth! They showed up right away and never asked me for money up front. Did a great job and when they left, they cleaned up so well you would never know they were there.
