Olofson's Oil Burner Service LLC

I called them and they were at my house within two hours of my call, and it’s a family owned business the grandfather, son and grandson run this business and they were professional, knowledgeable,outstanding people who were pleasant, polite and I cannot say enough good about them! I am now going to call them for all of my oil burner needs and they were amazing!

Eric was quick to call me back and setup an appointment. He was there early and went over everything he was going to do, as well as listened to my concerns. He's great to deal with. I'll always go back to him regarding my furnace servicing.

Initially it took a second request 2 weeks after the first (after trying to contact through Angie's) to hear back from owner. I went directly to his business e-mail. Said that he does not check Angie's as often as he should. Very nice guy, mind you, said that he was interested in doing the job and he came over to spec above job on 12-11-15. 10 days later (12-21-15) I replied to the company e-mail that he used to contact me to see how the estimate was going. No response. Maybe Christmas week and all, but I do expect a response at some point. 15 days later(1-5-16) I emailed again asking if he would be sending an estimate, and as of today (1-26-16) I still have not heard back. I always try to use local businesses whenever possible and he was the second that I contacted in the area. First one lost his installer, so I contacted Olofson's. I would assume that if you wish to grow your business, especially in the town you live in, communication is very important. Even if he decided that he could not do the job, a courtesy e-mail or phone call is the way to do it. Punctuality rating above was based on first visit. Professionalism, as well. Angie's really should have a "maybe" category under "would you use this provider in future". I don't know that I would not, but I will definitely look elsewhere and get estimates from someone else. 6 weeks is too long for an e-mail, and this job should have been done by now by someone who really wants the work.

Everything went great in terms of the service provided by Eric Olofson! He called me back within a few hours the same day (and I had left him a message at 5pm!), and scheduled an appointment with me for the following Tuesday. He showed up at exactly the time he had proposed and got all of the work done in the time frame he expected. He was very professional and courteous, and explained the work that he had performed in layman's terms. He identified a couple of small issues with the furnace that were related to the original installation and went the extra mile to fix these items as well. Furnace runs great, and it's comforting also to know that these guys are independent of any oil company. They focus on servicing burners, not selling heating oil. Highly recommended, trustworthy, and easygoing. Hands down the best contractor I've ever used for oil burner service. You will be happy you hired these guys, and you'll want to keep using them for this service.

I called Eric at Olofson's because I needed someone to service my oil burning home heating furnace - the person I had previously had retired. Eric performed that annual maintenance, and also provided an estimate for me for adding heat to my 2nd floor. I had to leave a message when I initially called, but Eric was very prompt in calling me back the same day, answered my questions thoroughly re: what was included in Olofson's annual maintenance furnace "tune up" and told me the cost. I booked an appt for a week or so later. I needed a "first thing in the morning" appt, so that I could get to work, and Eric was 15 minutes early! I've never had any service professional be early! That impressed me right away. He was knowledgeable, competent and professional and my furnace has been running great. I asked him while he was here about a possible estimate for adding heat to my 2nd floor, and he took a look at the situation before he left - when he hadn't planned on that. I later received an estimate from him in email, asked him to come back and solidify some functional issues due to the design of my house, which he happily did. I am someone that needs to understand how things are going to be done ahead of time, and Eric was very patient with all of my questions, concerns, and need to understand. He also explained things well to someone like me who doesn't automatically understand the nature of installing additional heating elements. I have hired him to do that work for me in the near future. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Olofson's. Eric is professional, respectful, competent in his field, and he communicates well. He is straightforward about cost, and what it includes, so there are no surprises. I would recommend Olofson's highly.

Excellent - We are having Eric back in the Spring for routine maintenance.

Eric installed a ventilation system for my portable AC. Also he put insulation around my hot water pipes at my request and cleaned and tightened a hot water mixing valve that was scaling on top of the indirect water heater. He always calls me back within 1 hour and comes out on emergency basis (happened once). He the most trustworthy heating guy I've used and will not spend your money foolishly. For the record, he does NOT do AC work.

I called Olofson's to check out a leak around my water heater. The owner, Eric, informed me that the water heater needed to be replaced. He suggested a model and set up a time to do the installation. I wasn't home during the installation, but Olofson's came in, removed the old water heater, and installed the new one. Everything was clean and put together when I came home. When I had an adjustment issue with the heater, I called them and Eric immediately told me exactly how to do the adjustment myself. These folks are smart, capable, and, above all, honest.
