Avoid this company at all costs! . Paul Davis came recommended to me by my plumber so I hired them for to do restoration work for water damage my home sustained. For starters, It took them almost 5 months to get me an accurate estimate. They needed to have people come to my home 5x to assess the damage because the right hand does not talk to the left with this company. I was given excuse after excuse as to why they couldn't give me an estimate. Eventually after many months of excuses (family emergency, weather conditions, the flu went around the office etc etc...), they finally provided me with an accurate estimate whereupon I signed an electronic contract for the work to be completed. Two days later I emailed them to say I needed to postpone the work for a few days because I was having unexpected house guests that coming during the holidays. I was told that would be no problem. When I tried to reschedule, I was ignored for a week. I continued to inquire about rescheduling my job and I was told to take me business elsewhere! So I have now invested 6 months of time having person after person come through my home to look at the damage and they will not do the work, even after I signed a contract. There customer service is terrible and they do not value your business. Save yourself precious time and go with any other company. I wish I had

This company is the absolute worst to work with. They are right on the cusp of being fraudulent. over the course of 6 mos the following occurred in my home 1) The Project manager I was working with to order carpet, materials, molding, etc in my house was fired. He lied to me that he ordered all the materials needed to restore my home (3 -4mos after flood). Also, he was giving out my home code to all the subcontractors but telling me he was letting them in. I found out weeks later that I have a bunch of contractors with the code to my home. 2) No insulation in home 4 mos after flood. 3) They never checked the furnace for flood damage (which was in the area that was flooded) so at one point I had no insulation and no heat (4mos after flood). I had to wait 2-weeks so their HVAC (from their "special list") could come out and evaluate the furnace...this was late October. 4) They subcontract everything out to contractors on their "special list." basically, these contractors are the one's that have agreed to split a cut with PD. so you can imagine the quality of these contractors because they are getting a lower pay. 5) No supervision of subcontractors. You have contractors showing up randomely at your house (Saturday mornings, or at 630am), in and out, leaving messes behind, chandelier's hanging by a thread (that were fastened before you left for work) not doing some things because they haven't been told, messing up paint colors etc. basically you have to project manage the contractors 6) The quality of contractors is poor, not only do they have no direction and leave messes (splash paint all over your granite counter tops, throw loose trash in barrels). Or leave a sign in your back=wall of your garage stating "don't open" when they are referring to your garage door that you have already opened coming home from work. 7) No apology, accountability or recognizing errors from owner. 8) I found them reusing ceiling tiles that were damaged during the flood. You could see the difference in ceiling tile colors. 9) One worker used my microwave and blew it up so they replaced it with a brand new one. When they graciously replaced the microwave their guys hit all the gas nozzles on my stove and left gas on. there is much more that I haven't listed here...but overall, don't use these people! Working with these people was one of the most miserable life experience. They should be investigated by the better business bureau. They are on the cusp of being fraudulent. 1

Description of Work: Had a small problem --the franchise owner--Dave Keefer--called me as soon as he got my email and came right over to investigate and quickly and decisively & got the train back on track. It will be about two more days to complete the job but it is looking good.

The team did a terrific job. Our project lead was attentive, managed expectations about scheduled activities even if rescheduling (one key team member was sick and a task had to be delayed, plus one day a fire restoration emergency arose) became necessary. The crew was efficient, polite, and throughout the job-which took a number of days-they arrived and departed as promised, and showed respect to us, our home and insuring our inside cats (we have four) were kept safe from getting outside or injured during the activity. I've noted a number of other reviews with poor grades, and must say that this was not our experience. The team we had did the job within the quoted time and cost, and truly did go above and beyond, from obtaining a second dumpster (we filled two of them) at no extra cost to taking the time to do "extra" steps and see that work was done correctly, not in haste. Our mold test passed inspection, our cellar is in great shape and we were very well treated throughout. I would gladly recommend this team and Paul Davis as an organization as a result of our experiences.
Description of Work: Cellar mold-removal and content removal. Full clean-up and install of new dehumidifiers and clean-up/protection of adjacent dirt crawl-space.

Description of Work: Contractor picked by our insurance company to complete water damage repairs. They ripped out one wall for "emergency" moisture control, left it torn apart with a plastic cover, and said the couldn't do the rest of the work for 3 months. Not acceptable!

It went terrible. The workers wandered all over my house when they were only supposed to be in the basement. The painters ( who were subcontractors robbed me and did drugs in my home while working. One of the painters actually slept in my house one night.. They went into my bedroom 2 floors up from the basement and went thru my jewelry. they went thru my kitchen cupboards for glasses andplates they used towels from my linenclost. They were totally inappropriate. I woulder allow them in my house again.
Description of Work: My water heater had leaked. they had to replace the carpet dry out the place and also replace some drywall.

We (my wife and I) are not happy with the time it took to do the work. Having said that, we are happy with the results. Paul Davis subcontracts the work to local companies. The work started 6 days late on the 20th of November. They worked 1 day and then off 4 days because of Thanksgiving. I say they but it was only one worker. He was a very good young man that knew what he was doing. The problem was he would not start work until 10:00am and quit at 4:00pm. Some days he was only here for an hour as they pulled him off to work elsewhere. They had very poor communication as we never knew when they would be here and when they would not. This cause us to always be home in case they showed up to work. The only punctual worker was the man that did the sheet rock. He was he was here each day at 8:00 am sharp and communicated well about his planned schedule of work. All the work on the home was not completed until December 5th. There were two workers on the last day as they rushed to complete everything that day as they had another job starting the next day. Work was completed on the dark at 7:30pm. Because we wanted the house ready for Christmas, I did the cleanup, priming and painting inside the house (even though it was the contract for them to do). We are very happy with the quality of the work that was done, but we are not happy the communication and time it took to do the work. Paul Davis Restoration said they would visit the work site frequently (if not daily) to oversee the work. We saw them twice.
Description of Work: We had our home resided 15 years ago and a new roof 12 years ago. When the roof was replaced, they did not flash the roof correctly and over the years water was getting behind the siding and causing rot. Because this happened over time, home insurance would not cover the repairs. We chose Paul Davis Restoration because they were recommended by our insurance company (before we knew it would not be covered by the insurance). They were a little more expensive then the other estimates but seemed to be more professional and warranted their work longer. Work that needed to be done included, Remove affected siding. sheeting, and shingles, replace and repair walls, insulation, floor joists, sheet rock and roof. They were contracted to start 8 am on November 14th and be completed in two weeks.
