Description of Work: I/We began a major landscaping/hardscaping project in mid May which began with tree removal, stump removal and stump grinding. Next was site preparation for the plantings of 20 hardwoods--birch, red maple, and sugar maples--this entailed hauling in loam and compost because the soil was very acidic from all the white pines that were removed. After the trees were planted we moved on to preparing the beds around the perimeter of the house--this required removal of old shrubs then preparing the soil and creating a drip edge before the actual plantings took place--a variety of evergreen type shrubs--dwarf spruce, yews, juniper, etc were planted. Now it was time to move on to the perennial garden beds--these had not been attended to in years and required much work and tender loving care. Besides soil prep and redesign we added stone work to outline the plantings--it looks great !! At this point I worked with a local greenery and purchased many plantings which are to numerous to name--they have all been planted by Rotten Rock's gardener, Hedi Chauvin, who is an expert with any thing that grows out of the ground. She even added in some strawberry plants that will complement the 50 low growing blueberry shrubs along the rivers edge. With all this completed it was time to pull it all together by adding sod between the evergreen shrubs and all the new perennials. It has exceeded my expectations of what I envisioned for my Log Home on the river. To cap everything off my 34 year old drive way is being redone with DOT approved gravel. This company is what I call a "one stop shop"--they can do everything as they have the equipment and the expertise to pull it all together. No need to deal with several contractors these folks do it all and do it exceptionally well. My thanks to Henry, Todd, Jake, Howie and Heidi--they are a great team for all your landscaping/hardscaping needs !!

Description of Work: We used Rotten Rock for tree service and wrote a RAVING review for them! I have seen some of their rock work and it is incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. They are true professionals and great to work with!

Description of Work: I have contracted with Rotten Rock for seasonal snow plowing. The entire season is $480 - a bit lower than my past 5 year average cost. I have a long drive - partially paved/partially gravel. The area right in front of the garage is circular and difficult to plow.

Description of Work: I hired Rotten Rock to take down a 100' pine tree which was hanging over my house. When they came over for the estimate, they said they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. When I told my friend what they said he was impressed by their honesty (my friend is in the same type of work down south). They encourged me to get other quotes (which I did not do). They have insurance cost and other overhead which you'll want if something goes wrong. Delays came up due to the hurricane and sick crew workers. When the delays came up, Todd was sincerely apologetic and his company performed some extra tree work for no cost due to these delays. Todd was up front and responsive when I sent emails with questions. The tree came down and my roof and house is intact. This was high, dangerous work. They earned every penny. I would recommend them or at least get an estimate from them and go from there.

Description of Work: We had Rotten Rock Hardscaping work on many projects around our house. They resurfaced and crowned our driveway, installed 3 culverts, selectively cut trees, grubbed, filled, leveled and seeded a large wooded island in front of our house, built a stone wall using the rock from around our property, filled and seeded a steep embankment, did excavation, grubbing and road installation at the bottom of our retaining wall, and removed many trees on a hillside for view enhancement.

Description of Work: Henry was reccomended by a fiend. I needed some trees cut down and removed. Henry provided a fair quote and completed the work ahaed of schedule. I would definitely utilize his services again. In fact I am now working with Henry on a snow removal plan and some carpentry work, This is a great company you will not be disapointed.

Description of Work: tree removal and large limb removal on several tall pine trees. Most of this work was to improve the visual look of a long tree line on the property. Great amount of work and debris of which was properly disposed.

Description of Work: Tree removal (large Pine Trees), clearing of lot, stump grinding, root removal, excavation, fill brought in, and preparation for lawn installation. The large trees were cut down, and removed quickly. All of the work was completed within a week.

Description of Work: Rotten Rock did snow removal and plowing of my rental property in Conway, NH. They also did some roof shoveling when I had an unexpected ice dam and sanded the driveway when the spring thaws started to turn the driveway into a skating rink.

Description of Work: I had the unfortunate experience of getting my vehicle deeply stuck in a snowbank this past winter. Despite my efforts to dig out with a shovel, I could not get my car to budge. It was then that my luck changed, as a large truck that was driving by stopped and a gentleman got out to see if I needed any help. It turned out to be a worker from Rotten Rock who was driving to a job site. He was very polite and helpful, and he proceeded to crawl under my car, hook up some straps, and town me out with his truck. Needless to say, I was more than appreciative for his assistance. When I tried to offer him some money for his help, he refused and said it's part of human nature to help others. While I have not utilized Rotten Rock for any of their services, I will not hesitate to call them when the need arises. They seem to be very people oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get a job done. I'm very impressed.

Description of Work: Cutting down and removing 7 trees (one of them being a 75 ft. oak tree) clearing and hauling away brush. This was done at our house which sits on a 1/4 acre lot.
