Finding a builder who can take your idea (aka Dream) and make it a reality is not easy. Norman Builders created a house for me that exceeded my expectations. Ryan Norman provided me direction before the existing house demolition started. He connected me with others needed for pre-build items. Norman Builders then built exactly what was designed on paper. What sets Norman Builders apart from others is their communication and commitment to understanding what the customer wants. Ryan and his assistant Collin were always available and communicated at every milestone along the way. There was never a time I did not know what was going on or what I needed to decide. The contractors they use are highly professional and care about their part of the build. I love my new house! I highly recommend them and appreciate all Ryan and his team did for me.

Ryan and his team were great to work with. Everyone was willing to take the time to answer my many questions and be sure we were on the same page. No real issues, but any small items were addressed right away. Came in on time even with the supply chain issues. Quality was excellent and very happy with the final product. Would definitely use Norman Builders and Ryan again!

Our project consisted of the conversion of two bedrooms and a spare room into a Primary Suite, with Bedroom, Bathroom, walk-in closet and separate laundry. From the moment we started to the finish, we were continually in awe of the coordination with and by Ryan, the pleasure of working with his top tier crew and subs, and the finished product. As the start date approached, Ryan made the decision to start two weeks early, in consideration of finishing prior to Thanksgiving. He dealt easily with unique questions from the local Historical Committee, and finished the project exactly on schedule. Our house is over 100 years old, and we were interested in maintaining the charm, while providing all the modern amenities. The result is outstanding, and due in large part to the inputs from Ryan and his team. Our tile and shower install by Lance is perfect. Original doorknobs were retrofitted onto every new door. Where doorways into adjacent rooms were removed – you can’t tell they were ever there. Josh from Charbot Electric showed us some options, and the resulting lighting and electric solutions adapted perfectly. New plumbing was run using existing chase-ways through the house that resulted in significantly less contingency and really clean work. We watched in admiration as Dale cut out a section of wall with one hand and sucked up any dust with a vacuum in his other hand. And the wall repair later is invisible. We happily converted heat from hybrid baseboard and radiator steam to just baseboard. And it was finished off in grand form with wallpaper by Tim, and matched to the house new or refinished hardwood floors by Drago. We enjoyed our interaction with every person assigned to our project, and had zero negative interactions over three months. Cost mattered to us. We met with several builders, several of whom told us it was too complicated to make any commitments. Ryan, after some thought and a fresh design, presented a fair and reasonable proposal to a complex job with several unknowns. Contingencies were controlled. We certainly exceeded the amenity allowance in order to maintain the charm and meet our vision, but overall, we got an awesome return on our investment and every decision was our own. We anticipate another major project in two years. We will not call anyone but Ryan Norman and his team of consummate professionals.

This was our second time hiring Norman Builders and the experience was just as amazing as the first! Ryan and his team remodeled our kitchen in 2018 and we knew right away that we wanted them back to do our master bathroom. The communication was seamless and the quality of work done by Brian, Kevin, Lance and all of the plumbers and electricians was top notch! Everyone was amazing especially when dealing with all of my questions and design ideas, including rearranging the layout and plumbing to accommodate my request for a large picture window with a soaker tub in front of it and having multiple shower heads that all function independently as well as together! The heated floors are also a favorite as well as our closet that Brian designed! We are so thrilled with the the final results and our bathroom is now a sanctuary that I never want to leave! Ryan and crew were awesome... professional, punctual, excellent workmanship, very fair price. Ryan and Warely did exactly what they said, exactly when they said it would be done. Excellent communications throughout the entire process. Will not hesitate to use Norman Construction again - and very happy to provide high recommendation! Norman Construction built two small-ish additions to our home (at the same time!) - the crew was able to perform some very detailed demo immediately adjacent to our living space to get the work completed .... with zero interruptions or issues to our living space.

It was a pleasure working with Ryan Norman on the extensive interior renovation of our 1895 Andover home, and we are incredibly pleased with the results. Every phase of this project was well organized and managed, starting with the contracting negotiation phase. Ryan patiently worked with us to revise the contract multiple times to include as many details up front as possible, so as to minimize unexpected surprises from both the construction and cost perspective. We found his trade crews took pride in the high quality of their work, a reflection of their attention to detail. We also found Ryan’s costs to be market competitive, and the few unexpected expenses were discussed in advance and transparently explained. We realized various value-add modifications during the process and Ryan gamely and easily made the improvements. As homeowners, we were very picky about the final, high-end finish for this kitchen and bath remodeling; and, so, we approached Ryan already having selected a granite fabricator and cabinetry supplier. While I have no doubt that Ryan can make excellent referrals to integrate these services on any project, he worked professionally and seamlessly with these other companies. Ryan also kept up good communication to ensure that we made finish selections on time to avoid undue delays. Ryan brought all of the pieces together to deliver a beautiful product in a timely fashion. Work included: chimney removal; kitchen and bath demolition to the studs; hardwood floor removal, subfloor modifications and hardwood floor installation; significant carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling and painting; re-framing and installation of windows and doors; and installation of high end built-in appliances and custom cabinetry with crown and other trim details. All inspections easily passed, and we have great confidence in the construction and will enjoy our beautiful new kitchen and bath for years to come! We had a great experience using Norman Builders to renovate our master bathroom. Ryan Norman is a true pleasure to work with. He is professional, extremely responsive, and truly works to make sure that every detail of the project is done right. All of the subcontractors were professional and courteous. Lance was at our house for the majority of the project and did an amazing job with many aspects of the room, and particularly with the tiled shower. Brian was also great. We are thrilled with our new bathroom and would absolutely use Norman Builders for future projects. The workmanship is top notch and Ryan is fantastic to work with.

We hired Norman builders to convert our basement into an inlaw for my mother - full kitchen, bathroom, etc. Ryan was always very responsive and did a good job scoping the level of effort. His team was great to work with. They were always very respectful, reliable, punctual, and trust worthy. The very few things that didn't go as I thought (minor) - Ryan was quick to fix. I'd definitely recommend using them for any project, it came out great and we are very happy with the finished product!

Norman Builders was a great partner in our home addition project. It's no surprise to anyone that construction projects encounter hiccups and this one was no exception. Norman Builders, however, was very responsive, competent in resolving unanticipated conditions, and communicated every step of the way. Their attention to detail was meticulous and they clearly took pride in their work. We highly recommend them!

Planning: We met with three contractors and reviewed small, medium and larger options for our existing space. Ryan from Norman Builders won us over with his confidence, organization and no problem attitude. Of course we had concerns and questions, but it was clear he had worked in colonial houses before. What really won us over was his excitement to do something different with our space. From day one, you could tell every detail of this job mattered as this was a new way to design a traditional space. His timelines, pricing and execution plan was clearly laid out. As a GC, he organized everyone from; designer, permits, dumpsters, demo, electric, plumbing, painters, floors, ceilings, etc. He would do it all. The Job: Completely gut our existing kitchen and formal dining room. Remove a wall and install a steal support beam. He'd then move the kitchen to the old dining space and make the old kitchen a common area with built in desk, bench and bar area. The dining room would then be moved to our four season bonus room. Floors, wall, ceilings all came down. All new plumbing and lighting throughout the first floor. Execution: I mean, its funny to say, but we miss these guys. They practically lived with us for the summer. Couldn’t have been better with our entire family (kids and dog included) Everyone was so respectful of world climate (summer of Corona) and space. Of course you need patience with the process. Timelines were clear and the job finished slightly ahead of schedule. In the End: I mean, wow. When we looked at the blueprint on day one, we legit thought they shared the wrong plans. We couldn’t imagine everything we wanted would fit. They nailed it. It’s a dream space for our family and we couldn’t be happier. We couldn’t recommend Ryan Norman Builders any higher. We can’t wait to have them back to work on the upstairs next.

Overall extraordinary experience and exceptional craftsmanship with meticulous attention to detail from project beginning through the punch list. Cool, calm and thoughtful demeanor displayed by Ryan throughout project that was also projected from every one of the sub-contractors. A reflection of good leadership that speaks volumes of the overall team and the high quality expectations of not just the work itself but also the customer experience. I spent over a year trying to get our home renovation project off the ground. We met with many contractors that either found our project too large or too small. Our plans included adding on a 16x16 room, a large two-tiered deck, and renovating the entire first floor. Ryan came to check out our project and within no time had an all-inclusive estimate prepared for us. It was priced very reasonable and his presentation gave us comfort that he could handle our job. Ryan's crew was very considerate, especially considering we were staying in our home during the duration of the project. They were timely, requested consent to be there at various times and worked consistently to get our project done. Part of the project included custom doors and non-tradition trim/detail work. They handled this exceptionally. All the detail work came out great! We would absolutely hire Norman Builders for another project.

There is a lot of anxiety in trying to pick the right contractor for your home improvement project. If you haven’t worked with someone before, or you don’t have a first-hand referral from someone you trust, it might feel like you are throwing a dart at a board then hoping you made the right choice. We took a huge leap of faith when we decided to renovate our 1945 Cape Bungalow, including remodeling two existing full bathrooms, adding a new Master bedroom with a full bathroom, adding a family/sunroom, and updating the full exterior of the home (roofing, siding, decking, garage, and driveway). We found information for Ryan Norman Builders on-line, and it really seemed too good to be true. Everything was coming up aces and when Ryan first called me to discuss the project I had a pretty good sense he was going to be our choice. Ryan works hard to build trust and win your business. He made it clear through the bidding process, and then after award, that his commitment and attention to the project would be unwavering and he held true to his word during our 5 month renovation period. If the most important selection factors for your project are cost and quality, and working with an honest, approachable, and level-headed GC, then Ryan Norman is absolutely the right choice. We had very reasonable expectations with our project, and this mindset is important for any home renovation; there would be unexpected costs and maybe a few surprises, the day to day activities might slip behind or occur ahead of schedule, and some days things might happen exactly as planned while other times they might not. Things will get messy, construction is messy. If you are unable to accept these as truth, then maybe Ryan Norman Builders is not the right choice for you, actually, maybe home renovation is not right for you…. may be better to List it not Love it. Our overall project started on time and ended on time and throughout the process it was easy to collaborate with Ryan. With every challenge he had a satisfying solution. He was always transparent regarding cost and any budget risks. He works with a predominantly subcontracted model, and this does come with some aches and pains. I did find it especially useful to plan time in the morning between 7-8am to check-in and get aligned for the day. In spite of the subcontract model, Ryan personally sees through every detail right down to the final punch list item. He wanted to make sure that upon completion of the project we were 100% happy, and was willing and able to re-work a few aspects that didn’t quite meet his or our standard. We are thrilled with the outcome of our project, and grateful to Ryan and his team for making our home design a reality.

We are very pleased with the outcome of our remodel. Looks great and it has made such a difference to our house. Ryan was responsive to our questions and needs, and Dale was on time every day without fail. Great job by Dale and very happy with Wayne’s tiling work. Floor install come out beautifully. While it took a long time, it was worth the wait.

From the initial meeting with Ryan Norman to the last final detail, Norman Builders were professional and knowledgeable. Every contractor who worked on our project did expert work, arrived on time, and left our property in good condition. Further, the entire project was completed on time with no problems. Ryan even sent an expert to do a final and thorough cleaning before pronouncing the job finished! We are very pleased with the product and the process of working with Norman Builders.

My project goal was to build a new detached garage. The garage was 30x40, 3 bays, with a semi finished second floor. The site was located on a relatively steep grade where extensive tree removal and excavation was required. The project lasted 2.5 months and Ryan was one of the few contractors who meticulously quoted the project allowing him to not only present competitive pricing, but also accurate pricing. The project did not go over budget and was finished on time. Ryan's crews worked long hours through all weather. The few minor issues I experienced with the project, Ryan responded immediately and in person to ensure it was handled. I would recommend Ryan and his crew to anyone looking to build an addition, remodel, or new construction.

We enjoyed the interaction with Ryan and Lance, and we are completely happy with our new bathroom. We had some plumbing issues, and a 50 year old (at least) bathroom, that led us to contact Ryan in the first place. The perfect attention to every detail, and precise work, and good advice along the way led to complete satisfaction with the finished product. We are more than happy, and also glad that our tile, paint and vanity choices all seemed to work together fine in the end. And of course, love the shower door as well! The work was prompt, and the plumber and electrician did great work. Lance, of course, did a great job from start to finish, and provided good advice along the way. He actually leveled the floor, after the new floor was in to insure that the vanity and toilet all set properly. Great work!

From the very start, Ryan and his team were amazing! In trying to find contractors we were getting the run around in trying to get people out for estimates, then raising the price at the last minute...then we contacted Norman Builders and the response was almost immediate. Ryan met with us, took our concerns and desires into account and took his time to address potential issues no one else has even talked to us about. He gave us a fair and detailed estimate very quickly and we decided to get going! From the first day, we saw so much progress! His team works hard! Neighbors often commented to us that it seemed like there was someone here all the time and that's because there was! The work was completed on time and we couldn't be happier with the quality and final results! Dale, Brian, and all of the subcontractors were excellent...everyone was courteous and cleaned up after themselves which was important to us with two small children and a dog living in the house during construction! When small issues arose, Ryan and the team dealt with them swiftly and without really any stress on our part. We are so very thrilled with the final results! Our first floor has been transformed and it is absolutely GOGEOUS! We love it so much and our experience was so easy! Ryan Norman’s responsiveness to our questions and needs during the building process was outstanding. He made suggestions along the way that only made our home more beautiful. If we hit roadblocks along the way, which in building there are bound to be some, he patiently worked through them with us to find a solution that we were happy with.
