chimney repair
+ -1 moreMy husband and I are extremely happy with the service we received. Chad arrived soon after we called. After his review, he suggested what need be done and gave us a prompt estimate as to the cost. He also gave us alternatives as to ways to make the endeavor less expensive (different types of caps). He arrived daily during the project until the project was done (except the one day it was pouring). He was very clean - we didn't have a mess before, during or after the project. We can see the crown - he did an excellent job at the top. Ultimately, this was a bigger job than any of us expected, but we are EXTREMELY happy with the results. Chad was clear with what needed to be done and got it done within the timeline he stated. And it looks really nice. Would absolutely recommend him again!
Description of Work: We recently purchased a home. It was obvious before we purchased the house that some work was needed on the chimney as the previous owner had a wood insert that had completely rusted down the front. During the inspection and subsequent chimney sweep, we had been informed that we needed to have the chimney re-pointed, have the crown fixed and have a cap installed. We called Chad and he was able to come out within a couple of days. He got up on the roof and confirmed what we had heard from others who had looked at the chimney. Our flue had been secured by wishes and prayers and was set to fall apart. We decided to make the investment and have our chimney re-lined with insulated piping down to both the furnace and the fireplace, have the crown redone and have a chimney cap installed. He also will be returning to assist in inserting another wood insert into the firebox.

+ -1 moreI sent an email through Angie's List stating what needed to be done and requesting that they contact me for arrangements to see the chimney and give me an estimate. I heard nothing. This indicates that they were not interested in my business which means they will never get it. Even if they were busy with other jobs they could have at least had the courtesy to contact me and say they were too busy at this time. Then I would have at least tried to contact them when something else came up. Not now.
Description of Work: No services were performed as they never got back to me.

+ 0 moreCV Masonary did an excellent job from start to finish. Chad came right out and gave a thorough, accurate, and competitive estimate. He explained the necessary work and options for materials. The work was completde in a timely fashion, and within the budget. The job was done was very neatly and cleanly. All demolition material was removed, and the work area left neater then when he started. I had to wait until the fall heating season to verify that my wood stove would operate just as well as before the work. I am happy with the way that the woodstove drafts and operates. I would recommend CV Masonary to anyone, and would happily hire him again.

+ 1 moreGreat! Chad and his team were great to work with. Very friendly, really knew their stuff. The chimney lining process is quite technical and difficult, and they did a great job with it. The chimney draws well. Also, the house exterior looks wonderful, the repairs are hard to tell apart from the rest of the wall.
Description of Work: We hired Chad to do a poured chimney liner for two flues in our 200 y.o. chimneys, prior to putting a woodstove in. We also needed some repair work to the 200 y.o. brick exterior of our house, and he and his brother did this also.
