Description of Work: One of my toilets had a problem with water hammer. Another company was unable to resolve the issue, but they were able to fix it within 15 minutes.

Description of Work: The owner of Splash/Masi Plumbing did the ultimate bait and switch which had a disasterous result on my home. The owner of Splash/Masi Plumbing came to my home to quote a complete bathroom remodel. He told me that he owned Masi Plumbing and that they would do a good job and that I would be very happy with the results. Based on our conversation, I went to his showroom (Splash) and ordered over $7000 worth of fixtures that I believed he would install. this was on 5/19/2011. On 5/23/2011, he called me to say that he was sending someone named Billy Roussel to quote my remodel, and that he had done over 30 bathrooms for Splash, and that he did excellent work, and that he was having him to my bathroom. I had no reason to think otherwise, so I signed a contract with thim on 5/25/2011 for $8200.00 to do the work. I told him that I needed this project done by mid July at the latest, and he agreed. He demolished my bathroom on the following weekend, then said he would be back in one week, because he had to finish up a job. He came back four weeks later. This isn't the issue, however. The issue that I have is that he was NOT qualified or licensed to do the work. He performed electrical and plumbing work that he was not licensed to do, and he ruined my bathroom. Twice while installing the bathroom, I had water flooding my downstairs ceilings (the bathroom is upstairs) and after he left, it continued to leak and has ruined the hard wood floor upstairs in the hall and my son's room. This hardwood floor is one year old. He didn't fix the ceilings, he just painted over the stains, which bled through immediately, and since it continues to leak, is getting worse. I had a licensed electrician come over and he was very upset by what he found. There was no GFI installed, not even at the panel. The outlets were not working and were improperly wired. He buried a live wire in the wall. He had bare wire leading into the electrical panel and many other violations. He disabled the power and told me that it was a fire hazard. I then had a licensed plumber come over, and he tried to silicon around the fixtures in the shower, then 24 hours later told me to use it. It's still leaking water under the floor. He said that he will have to open the wall to fix it. He also said that he has to raise the tub, because the type of high end tub that I have needs a foam buffer underneath, per the factory instructions. This had not been done. The tub moves. The worst part of all this however, is the tile job. The floor tile is so uneven that we keep stubbing our toes on the corners...they are not level. The subway tile that he installed on the walls looks like it was done by a child. It's so uneven and off level, that only pictures could do my description justice. Everything that this person did was below sub par. When I contacted the owner of Splash/Masi Plumbing on two occasions, he downplayed the whole thing and said that my contract was with Billy Roussel and that he had nothing to say to me. He would not come out to my house to see it, and he would not stand behind his recommendation. He sent a non licensed person who ruined my house and had no remorse. I now have to pay others to completely tear down everything and remodel from scratch. I will have to purchase all new tile for the floor and walls and pay licensed professionals to fix the problems. I believed that I was getting the best, and that they would do a professional job, but they took advantage of me completely. This project has already cost me 15,000 and I have not been able to use my bathroom for months. I now am facing putting another 10,000 into it. I do not want this man to recommend Billy Roussel to anyone else, so I have to make this complaint.

Description of Work: We purchased a shower unit and fixtures from Splash by Masi in Nashua N.H. We contracted Masi to install the shower and to do the plumbing for $ 2200. Masi sent two young men to do the work and never checked their work. The shower stall was installed wrong and Masi refused to correct it. We experienced extremely poor customer service from the owner and he indicated that he would not fix the problem. We contacted the manufacturer of the shower unit since Masi never installed the door. The manufacturer sent a person to install the round door and refused saying the shower stall was not blocked or the base supported. Plastic was left on and no silicone was applied. We found the installation booklet unopened and blocking provided by the manufacturer in the trash. The warranty was void because of the installation. We had to higher another company to correct Masi's work at twice the cost. We are now at $5200. We are over 65 and feel we were totally taken advantage of by Masi Plumbing.
