 + 0 moreWorking with Rich was painless. He showed up on time to assess job as well as make suggestions to optimize results. Once we agreed on course of action and pricing ( competitive but not the least expensive quote) Rich showed up on time and completed work as requested on budget and on time. As with most jobs some unexpected issues occurred which were addressed immediately without interrupting completion schedule. I expect to use R&D for future projects in 2013
Description of Work: > Need was to upgrade 3 season porch as follows: Re Roof to include shingles, Flashing/ Drip edge/ Ice and Water shield / Tar paper / Nails and Glue Rebuild one Corner of House: dig 4 foot deep for sonotube and replace corner support post. Replace 13 screen windows with storm windows, window sills and necessary modifications to framing for proper fit.

 + -1 moreEverything went well. I never put boundaries on him as far as time limits and getting the job done. I felt in part my own philosophy that this job was complicated and had a need for great detail. Thus without being constrained he got the job done in a estimated days and he got the job done thoroughly, no detail missed, which is extremely important to me. I like to believe in doing things right the first time without having to go back over it again . He was conscientious kind caring, never swore. He was punctual and if he had to miss a day he would call in advance. Not at all argumentative. Honest.
Description of Work: Installed a gate that lowers to the ground by my own specifications from my shed. Installed a door going from garage to shed. Repaired a hole in the natural gas chimney going from garage to roof. Insulated and installed plywood walls in two walls of garage. De installed window from shed and installed into basement. Built and installed a nd floor loft above garage door opener and the whole of garage. . Insulated the ceiling of garage. Installed a built in counter table going the width of the garage at the end of the garage. Richard, was kind courteous, efficient and empathetic. Any wood left over he would leave to me to burn in my wood stoves. He also had done more then the job entailed, by insulating and filling a hole going through the roof with the gas chimney. He had to rewire around the ceiling of the garage. He never asked for more then the agreed upon price written into the contract.
