Neither Nashua Wallpaper & Paint, their distributor or the manufacturer of the flooring product wish to take responsibility for the floors installed in our new construction home that were clearly not milled in any quality fashion. They also were not installed per manufacturer guidelines in regard to climate control. Yet, somehow what we have is 'normal' though it isn't. We specifically asked when selecting our flooring product what quality we could expect from the manufacturer and if it was worth it to spend more on a more boutique manufacturer but were assured by NWP that the manufacturer was fine and they had no quality issues. Of course, since we constantly felt like we were a burden to the associate helping us at the time maybe they just didn't feel like dealing with us and instead wanted to rush us out. Either way, run far and run fast.

I entered Nashua Paint and Wallpaper and stood in line behind one other customer at the cash register. After 10 minutes of not being acknowledged by anyone, I asked the customer in front of me if there was only one employee on that day. The one who was assisting another customer and failed to say, "Someone will be right with you." The customer said there were two employees and pointed to the man who had been standing at the entrance, for the past now 12 minutes, talking to some folks about his family owning the building, owning other specific buildings in a nearby city, how long they had owned all of the buildings, who some of the people were they had in common, about an acquaintance who was in jail for a significant amount of time, and about his (the employee's) love of ski-doing, and about his children ski-doing, and then he pulled out his phone to show pictures of his children. After his self-promotion had finished he nonchalantly started to approach us. I asked him if he were an employee and he answered yes. I then said, "And you left us standing here all this time?" He said he was sorry with a smirk, and I then asked, "To talk about your family?" He then looked at me with the same smirk, but no words. I asked, "Really?!" At that point I left and I am going to inform the professional painter I hired to paint the entire interior of my house before marketing it, that his strong recommendation of Nashua Paint and Wallpaper for their knowledgeable and professional services was very incorrect and should be reconsidered. Maybe that egotistical young man is thinking too much about what the generations before him built in monetary value without considering the very important basics of quality and respectful service to a customer base that ensures the future of his children.

Marci Ciampa represented Nashua Wallpaper for my kitchen remodeling. We got off to a slow start playing phone tag just to get started. I was apprehensive about this, but I'm very happy I stuck with it. Once we got going, things went very smoothly. The work I needed involved installing recessed ceiling lighting, all new cabinets, countertop, and flooring. There was electrical and plumbing work to be done also which required walls to be opened. Marci designed a kitchen that I absolutely love. There's not a single thing I regret or wish I had done differently. She started with a design that fit, I picked out cabinet design, countertop and flooring with some direction from her. Then we got together to make changes that I wanted or that she suggested (without pushing). Together we came up with the wonderful kitchen I have now. She visited the site as often as promised. She hired the best contractor in the world to do the work (Tony, proprietor of Gorilla Tough Construction). Marci delivered on everything she promised and in a relatively short timeframe, about six weeks. On price, I did experience sticker shock that took me about a week to get over. But once I compared the work and material with several other folks I knew had just remodeled, and once a neighbor highly recommended the contractor recommended above, I signed on. I gave room above the estimate for the unexpected. It turned out that I didn't have to. The job came in just $400 above the estimate while there actually were several unexpected items to cover. Marci and Toni got us in right on budget. I highly recommend Marci and her choice in contractors.

Ron Trudeau promised a design for the shower before starting work, daily site visits while work was underway, and his expertise for placement of tile components and wall color. However, he did not provide a design ahead of time and we were left to make design decisions with the tiler. He never provided advice for wall color. He repeatedly failed to respond to requests for more design guidance. The contracted tilers were excellent and the workmanship was fine, but the experience was so frustrating that I would not use him again. The management sent him to respond to my complaint rather than responding to me personally. For that reason I do not have confidence that future concerns would be addressed professionally or in a timely fashion.
