Right from the get go Shaun and the folks at Joyce were great to deal with. They replaced an early 1990s era furnace and A/C system that was on its last legs. They removed an old Goodman system and installed a new complete Lennox high efficiency system in one day (outdoor unit, refrigerant lines, furnace, coil, venting, thermostat, condensate pump, etc...) . They were able to reuse the existing electrical, bypass humidifier, and media filter unit. Shaun gave me multiple options and didn't try and upsell stuff I didn't need. The install team arrived right on time and got straight to work. They reworked the return box and duct work to mate in much more cleanly and attractive looking than the existing setup, including doing some custom sheet metal fabrication. They also fixed up the venting for the hot water heater which was orphaned due to the new side venting of the high efficiency furnace and fixed the feed off the hot water to the humidifier to bring it into code. All the old materials were removed, the basement swept, and exterior caulked around all openings. Within a week all the rebate forms arrived only needing an account number and signature. Couldn't be happier with the new units. Very quiet and able to keep a consistent and stable temperature.

My experience was very positive. They've been very responsive; we've called a couple of service issues and they've been very good about coming out and making things right. My life has been quite pleased.

They were on time, polite, and came after hours? I isn't notice the issue until late in the day and was afraid they might mot get out to my home until the next day, but they came. Yay. (They also replaced my entire furnace (old oil burner) with high efficiency gas unit and put in a tankless water heater for me in December 2011? excellent job!)

We recently purchased our home and as you can tell from the description our house really needed heating, cooling, and hot water systems updated. We had several contractors come out for appraisals and Joyce was the best choice to go with and we are happy that we did. Their price, warranties, rebate offers, and reputation were the best. Shaun oversaw the project and he was quick at responding to calls and answering questions. We really appreciated how he simplified the process and gave us good advice for selecting the models, which can be challenging. He compiled all the rebate and tax forms and filled out and submitted whatever he could on our behalf. Shaun also followed up several times after the installation to see how everything was going. The workers showed up on time, they were friendly, and did all the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC in the two days as proposed. We were happy with their work and they helped us set up our programmable thermostat. There was only one minor issue later with an air duct. Two of the four fasteners holding it in place were not secure. I called Shaun and he came out promptly and took care of the issue. What makes Joyce stand out from the competitors is how they treat their customers. They went above and beyond hooking up our gas dryer free of charge and tying up loose ventilation tubing for it. It's little things like that stick out in my mind as customer in addition to quality and service.

Joyce Cooling & Heating was available day we noticed issue with our water heater. My first call was hung up on however once i called back they were helpful with having someone come out. First person came out about 1 hour later and took a look at my water heater. After inspection he stated we needed a new one. Provided a quote for the water heater and another quote for the tankless heater.. Stated that he didn't have the water heater and it would be another individual to bring the heater and install it. Received a call they would be able to come back in the afternoon with the new heater. They did a great job. Installation went well. It was completed within 2 hours. Was told installation of a new heater would either be today or definitely tomorrow.

Saturday between Xmas and New Years and the inevitable happens----furnace dies----left several messages at different companies for a call back on Monday to schedule a replacement. Settled in with blankets etc when the phone rings...the owner himself Tony calling to see if he could send someone out to see if anything could be done to get us through the weekend..Short time later Dan shows up and checks things out...nothing until Monday yet polite, professional and very empathetic to our situation. Scheduled appt for 9am and low and behold at 8am Monday the crew arrives. Polite -Professional- Considerate and patient with my lack of knowledge when it came to this whole business..They were excited about their work and the system they were putting in, they were neat and orderly. They even came in concerned because they thought my dog was loose in the neighborhood. I chatted with them briefly about their jobs and they were all proud to be working for Joyce Cooling and Heating and their boss Tony. Says quite a bit about someone when their employees love their jobs and do it with such pride. So many thanks to Dan, Tim, Jimmy and the two Joshua's for a job well done and to Tony for checking emails on a Saturday afternoon!!! You have my business.

Great experience - technician called ahead and asked if he could come 1 hour early - performed the work efficiently and provided a detailed report of the work.

The furnace had been making a loud booming noise for some time and we finally decided to call someone to have it looked at. Joyce had some great reviews so we decided to try them out. We were not disappointed! Jarod came to the house on time, inspected the problem and gave me a rundown on what was causing the issue and what it was going to take to fix it. He said he could run right over to the supply house, get the needed valve and have it fixed that day. I can't tell you what a relief it was to not have to worry about listening to the booming sound coming from the basement, or worse, having our furnace explode. I would highly recommend Joyce and will use them again in the future.

It is six weeks after the installation and the hot water is still running. It is a quality tank, but I think I should turn the easy to adjust thermostat down a little. The price was fair. I didn't get a super bargain, but paid a fair price and got a job done right the first time.

My older home had some previous shoddy work and venting done. They were able to work around the inferior venting and even do some remediation venting, which was much appreciated. Would most definitely re commend this provider! I still need to have the chimney liner installed, and I will be using them for this.

Excellent response, analysis, and overall work

I was very impressed with the punctuality, professionalism, knowledge and thoroughness of the person who came to my home from Joyce Cooling & Heating. A thorough inspection of my systems going through all the parts. I was having a tenant move into a townhome condominium and since the system was 25 years old I wanted to be sure all was well. There were no extra costs as my system was in working order. I decided to purchase a 2 year contract due to the age of my system. There are benefits that come along with the contract and I thought it a good idea to have someone to call in case of emergency. The give a discount on parts and come twice a year - once when the heating system starts and once when the cooling system starts. I have peace of mind now.

I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my call, and that they were able to address the issue the same day. This is a rental unit for me, and we were entering a heat wave. My tenant would have been very uncomfortable. The technician went out to assess the unit, called to give me options identifying a "short-term" fix to get the unit working, and then a permanent fix that involved replacing a piece. I opted for the later, and haven't had any trouble since.

Overall it was a very good experience. I initially had some issues, but they came out again and fixed it.

They had to send the tech 3 times with three different fixes but they got it! All three fixes were necessary and the charges very fair because of the cost of parts.

Our central air went out during the height of the summer heat wave. Muggy and in the 90's.. Of course all of the heating/cooling companies were very busy. Joyce came out and gave us the estimate. Then called with the bad news that they wouldn't be able to come to install for 20 days! They knew how hot and cranky I was, and were able to push up the date to a week and a half earlier. I was so happy. They arrived right on time and did a terrific job. Thanks Aaron!

The technician was helpful, responsive, courteous and did what I needed him to do.

Went very well, it works very nicely after several 90+ days. Gave lots of options for what to install and how. We wanted normal central, not high velocity nor through the wall ductless. My attic does look like Hagrid's spider from Harry Potter (painted silver), but the rest looks fine, and the house is comfortable. Shaun was responsive after full payment, making adjustments as we got hot weather to try the system.

after talking to their installation sales guy, he suggested that a technician come evaluate the unit first. We were very happy that the technician provided an honest opinion.

These guys were great. He showed up on time, went right at the problem, and fixed it very quickly. I have an older unit, so it was challenging to get at everything, but he was able to fix the problem.

Took a full day, no problems. Expensive, but it was winter and a must fix.

Central a/c was not producing cold air. I called Joyce (based on positive Angie's List reviews and $10 coupon) and made an appointment for Thursday PM but requested Wednesday standby. The serviceman came Wednesday early afternoon and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. A filter and capacitor needed replacing. The replacement costs were more or less in line with industry norms. Although I would like to see the $79 service call charge applied to the actual repair cost, the service was efficient and professional.

We had a few estimates done, but decided to check on Angie's List to see who had gotten good reviews. We had not had an estimate from Joyce Cooling and Heating, but based on the positive reviews that they had received, we decided to include them as well. They were extremely responsive in coming out and doing the estimate, explaining what would be done, how long it would take, etc. Their estimate was extremely competivie (actually less expensive than the others we had received). We scheduled the work to be done the following week. The crew arrived on time, were very professional, covered all the floors with drop clothes anywhere that they would be walking. We were concerned about where to leave our cats so they would not get out while the guys were coming in and out of the house, but they assured us that was not necessary - they would make sure no animals got out of the house and doors would be secured eached time they used them. All the workers were very personaable, friendly, courteaous of our space (my husband and I both have home offices). Originally we had been told that they would be there for 3 days, but they finished everything up in 2 days. Vacuumed the floors and left the house spotless! Explained how the system worked, gave us demos on usage, etc. The day after the crew left, their boss came to make s ure everything was done correctly and we were happy with the work they had done. I would highly recommend Joyce Cooling and Heating for any projects. In fact, we have scheduled them to do Preventive Maintenance on our other AC unit prior to use for the summer. I will keep their number on speed-dial! Great job!!

The company arrived on time in the morning, removed the old furnace, put in the new one, and reconnected the air conditioner. They tested it and showed me how to operate the heating and cooling. They told me of rebates that I could get from the company, which I really appreciated.

Thermostat was broken and Pilot was out. they diagnosed and offered options for repair. fixed quickly no muss no fuss.
