It is unfortunate that the owner has to come on here to write this way about someone that would have been a customer. As you were not involved in the call you really don't have much to go on. I don't know what happened to having companies or more specifically your company practice decent customer service. I did realize your company was and hvac companie and not a supply or parts store, I had called to find out how much the part would have cost and how much you would have charged to replace it. I knew exactly what the problem was and that is why I was calling, so you need to think a little before assuming a homeowner is either untrained or is just thinking something is a problem. Hopefully you will change your customer service approach in the future.

We've been having some trouble with the furnace staying on for two nights, now. Outside the snow is still coming down. The heater works, but it requires some prompting. We keep a screwdriver handy to whack the parts that make the most noise. Finally, we called Joyce Heating & Cooling. Spoke with Shaun on the phone. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I told him the issue and he asked we wanted someone to come out today or tomorrow. Wary of another cold night, I opted for today. Shaun acknowledged and asked if he could call me back in a minute. Less than a minute later, he called to let me know someone would be at my house soon. Literally 5 minutes after I called, a technician arrived. He tested our furnace, checked all the wiring, and made sure everything was safe. He recommended that we change our settings from 'Automatic' to 'Manual' and that we watch for further issues. He warned that we may experience a small drop in efficiency, but that we would no longer have to bash the furnace to get it to heat. Safe for now, but we will planning for a new furnace soon. When we do buy a furnace, we will definitely buy from Joyce Heating & Cooling.

We have a rental property as well as own a home and we've used Joyce for a number of years now. One word describes their level of service over the years...outstanding. Whenever we have a service window, say for example 9-11 AM like yesterday, Jarod showed up a little after 9. The price was $40 less than the first 2 companies I called, and I had an Angie's list coupon for $10 making it $50. He showed me how to save money on the furnace filters but still maintaining air quality. He also showed me how to read the furnace indicator light which can possibly save us a service call in the future. Lastly he gave me some good tips on efficiently running the system to maximize the fuel we burn. It's these little things that set Joyce apart from other contractors. Luckily we haven't had to do major work to any of our home equipment but I'd trust these guys in a heartbeat to deliver top quality work without gouging us in the process like we've experienced with other cooling and heating operations. They don't try to unnecessarily up-sell you on parts or services you don't need which is refreshing in today's market! They are the only company I will call for this type of work.

our furnace kept running without heat yesterday afternoon. room temprature dropped to 64F. we called Joyce Cooling & Heating and scheduled the check-up for this morning. This morning I missed their phone call and they left themessage. I contacted them when I came back and was told they would come to fix it at 9:00AM. The technician came in right at 9. Soon he identified the problem and decided to replace the part. It's a little bit more expensive than I expected. but overall service is super good.

Forced hot air heating furnace developed a crack in the burning unit and could not be turned back on (Wed 23rd). Got a quote and arranged for a new system to installed two days later (Fri 25th). Workmen arrived on time installed new system, cover floors, system was up an working by 3 in the afternoon. Excellent work skilled technicians. I plan to replace some ducting and the downstairs furnace in the spring and will definitely call them again

I could notice the improvement on the first day. Warmer house and plenty of hot water. The guys worked hard and cleaned up after. very good experience thank you.

Our overall experience was excellent. Every person we dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. They explained how the system worked in great detail. The lead person on the installation job was fantastic. (Unfortunately, I don't remember his name.) He was patient and answered every question. They cleaned up and left the house in perfect condition. You would never know they were there. About a week after the system was installed, we had an issue with getting the heat to come up to temperature. Joyce was out the same day to trouble shoot the problem. They made an adjustment which corrected the problem and came back the next day to make sure everything was working properly. We are very happy with the service provided by Joyce Cooling & Heating and we would definitely recommend this company.

Came home the night before and the hot water heater was leaking water onto the floor. Shut off the water and the gas and called Joyce Cooling & Heating the following morning. Tony (owner) answered and gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled installation for that afternoon. They called 45 min before arriving to let me know they were on the way. Installation took less than an hour, and now I have hot water again! They were courteous, professional, and got the job done quickly.

Hot water heater broke weekend after Thanksgiving. Service came out within an hour of when I called and helped me turn off the water/gas and pump out water from tank. Scheduled water tank install for next workday on Monday which took no more than 2 hours. Very prompt and showed up early (I was late).

We were very pleased with the work performed. They promptly responded arriving when they said they'd arrive. The person who initially came was very knowledgeable and not simply a salesman. He presented multiple options including offering to track down a potential warranty on our existing water maker. That was something nobody else had mentioned. While we opted to go with a complete system this was our decision because it made the most sense. The company simply presented our options and I never felt they were pushing work. As for the work itself it was done in a timely manner and again they showed up when they said they would arrive. They spent the day removing the old furnace, taking it away and installing the new system. The workers were polite and informative. The only issue we had was they inadvertently wired two zones backwards. That was a trivial mistake and a five minute fix that was promptly resolved. We felt price-wise Joyce was very good as well. How I tend to rate that is whether feel I got ripped off after work is performed. I DEFINITELY DID NOT feel that in this case. Their price was actually a little cheaper than another quote we got and the system they installed was far better. I would definitely have them do work again in the future and have recommended them to a co-worker who needed a new system.

Perfect. Took hs time to explain everything. Was very nice and easy to speak with. Answered all of my questions. He even told me about on coupon on Angies List that would discount his fees by $10! You could not ask for a better service

This could not have gone better. If your primary goal is to have it done correctly, on schedule, all the options laid out/explained for you, by pro's, with zero mess, with no worries, Joyce is it. Price is on par with other firms, not the lowest, not the highest. I'm a perfectionist. They left me VERY happy. The team that showed up were all experienced tradesmen, with one identified apprentice in tow. They were all business, polite, and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. I'd recommend them in a snap. I asked for a specific installation week while we were away so I could surprise my wife for her 50th birthday. Tony adjusted to make it happen, and when a job finished early elsewhere, shipped extra people to our site, this allowed them to finish early. (3 days total vs estimate of 5). Absolutely nothing went wrong. The wife is pleased, "best present ever!" Enjoy.

He arrived at his scheduled time and quickly got to work. He asked me to turn the upstairs and downstairs thermostats to heat so as to test if the control system worked, and generally did his work quietly and without mess. He recommended I upgrade the furnace to a more efficient model, but didn't pester me about it.

They arrived late morning and had the job completed by late afternoon. No snags or issues. Nice job.

Very prompt, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. It was nice to have someone call just before arrival. Price was accurate not overpriced, not a bargin price. I stupidly forget to give the Angie's list coupon, my bad. Overall an excellent job.

My 44 year old boiler was ready for replacement, and the tankless water heater needed to be replaced as well. I researched local installers to do the installation, and eventually received three quotes. Tony Joyce provided a clear and concise quote, and the quoted price was near the lowest of the three. One thing he noted while he was at the house was that some of the existing pipes could be re-used, saving labor. I suspect that this was part of the reason why the quote was so competitive. I spoke with Tony on the phone so we could schedule the work. He was personable and helpful, and happily scheduled the installation around my vacation time, approximately three weeks after the phone call. The guys showed up at the appointed time, were friendly and professional. The plumbing work is clean and neat. In several places they chose to use existing pipes rather than running new ones. Although running new pipes might have made the final installation prettier, it doesn't look bad, and I'm quite certain that it saved me some money. At the end of the day, the guys went over the operation of the new system, tested it to verify that the house was heating, and that the domestic hot water was getting hot. Before leaving, they cleaned up all of their tools and equipment, removed the old boiler and water heater, and left the basement cleaner than when they arrived. Overall experience - very good. I would highly recommend Joyce Cooling and Heating, and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

It went great, their rep immediately trouble shot the problem, combo of one bad filter and one leak in a line, he filled the compressor, fixed the filters, and got our system back on line for $200 less than he had originally estimated. I was very pleased with the quick service, fair price, and demenor and attitude of their service tech. I will definitely go back to them in the future. Very pleased and satisfied

I woke up to a house a little too cold on Saturday, checked the thermometers, then the furnace. It was out, and I couldn't get the pilot to light. I called Joyce and asked about setting up an appointment. They pointed out that there was a higher fee on the weekend (don't recall the figure, but it was well above the normal visit charge), so I set it up on the coming Monday morning. The work didn't take long. The serviceman had little trouble figuring out how to take apart my old unit and determined it was likely the thermocouple. He replaced that, lit the pilot, reassembled, and then it was working. He answered all my questions about replacing the unit (well past its lifetime); told me about different options and gave me a general idea of what a quote would be. Completely happy, though I think I got ripped off on parts. The thermocouple charge was $70.50 (it's a $10-$15 part at the hardware store- one h*** of a markup). Labor was $79, for a bill of $150.

They were very prompt and very friendly. They were very nice. They just replaced the pipe and that was it. They were very efficient. I will use them again in the future.

Good overall performance. We have a Weil McLain Furnace. Annual maintenance requries replacement of many parts included in a kit. Previous contractor, who installed system, had not replaced these parts in previous five years. Joyce service cost same as previous provider. Only compalint is that they did not answer phone promptly during October storm wheh we had a massic epower outage and we were on generator power.

Overall good job, AC works great. Tony Joyce knows his stuff.

Prompt, immediate service on time, they actually called me 20 minutes before they showed up allowing me to work and come home by the time the service person showed up. Same day service which was paramount since without the ignitor working we had no heat and hot water. Even though I knew what the problem was and told them, they very thoroughly checked my furnace and made sure everything else was OK. I am very satisfied with the quality and professionalism. I am not complaining but I must say that you get what you are paying for, it was a little bit on the pricy side but it was worth while for me since it was a same day service, well arranged and I could work instead of waiting at home all day for somebody to show up. I will use them in the future if my heating or AC system will need repairs.

We were pleased with the knowledge and experience of the owner who came to do the estimate. Ultimately, though, we chose another very experienced installer who would do more work for a notably less charge.

The arrived at 8:30am and finished by 3pm. They were quick, efficient and quiet. They cleaned up afterwards and I wouldn't even know they were here. They gave me a tutorial on how to use the equipment when they were done. Very happy with their work! The owner, Tony, was very nice and easy to work with.
