AFFORDABLE POOLS

We just finished our pool construction with AFFORDABLE POOLS! Know what? It's the BEST contracting experience we have ever had, and we have done quite a bit of project. The price was awesome and all of the staff we worked with were quick and responsive. I have already referred them to a couple of friends who are also happy with them. Yay!

We finalized a contract with Chris at Affordable Pools in February 2018. The contract was to install tile, install quartz or pebble plaster and install 500 sq ft concrete decking with cantilever edge. Chris said he could complete the work by Mid-May. Affordable Pools began the work March 2018 . They removed the old tile, coping and concrete and did some prep on the surface of the pool. They replaced the plumbing and added a new skimmer. The last time any workers came to work on the pool was April 28, 2018. Chris came to our property on May 1 where we discussed finishing the tile, using a quartz surface with tile, installing 500 sqft perimeter of concrete with cantilever edge. We also discussed that he would be able to add 1300 sq feet of concrete decking plus additional 350 sqft of concrete decking where grass was. We told him we would dig out the grass/loam area ourselves and let him know asap when we were done. At May 1 meeting Chris said he would draw up a contract with the new scope of the work and send it to us. At May 1 meeting Chris did not indicate any problem with them completing the job. He never sent us the new contract. We called him May 5 and informed him that we would not be able to dig out the loam, asked if they would be able to do that portion and When workers would be back to work on the pool. We called and emailed many times without an answer on timeline or when they would come back to keep working on the pool. We expressed over the phone and in email our dissatisfaction with the communication from Affordable and wanting to know when workers would come back. On May 16, 2018 we received an email from Chris at Affordable Pools stating that he is shocked that we are disappointed. In this email Chris quit the job stating they would not complete the job. Since the email from Chris May 16 where Affordable pools quit in the middle of the job, we have emailed and called Affordable pools many times asking for a response. Chris nor anyone else from Affordable has not returned our calls or emails. The last time they worked on our pool was April 28. They quit the job via email and have not responded to us. Now we have a concrete hole in the ground collecting rain water. We also have large amounts of cement piles that they left and never took away. Today is May 23, 2018.

This provider showed no respect for my time. He scheduled an appointment for 2PM and when he hadn't showed up by 3:10PM I called to find out what had happened. He told me he was "held up". Well, how about a phone call? Nope. So he tells me he can "leave now" as if he was all done and had all kinds of time. Not that he was on his way, or that he was sorry for wasting my time... nope. When he said he could be here IN AN HOUR, I asked "at four?" and he said "Yes". I said, "Oh no. that's not going to work." Then he said, "well, then find someone else. >CLICK<". Wow. I'm still shaking my head. how is this guy still in business??? I do have a phone log on my iPhone that confis that I spoke with this company on the Monday . I was incorrect in posting my conversation at 3:10. The exact time was 3:08 and the call lasted 54 seconds, after which I posted my review which is now in question. I did not have work done by this company, I stared that in my review. They never showed up. If they didn't have an appointment the person would not have told me he was "tied up" and that he could be at my house at four! But, that is neither here nor there. This is a place to review good service, bad service or no service. My review was truthful, accurate and I have the phone record to prove it. Gone are the days when you can deny speaking to someone over the phone.
