The two Chimney showed up on time, explained the process and performed it in a timely manner. Very satisfied.

The two chimney sweeps came on time. They were very courteous and friendly. They inspected the chimney inside and on the roof as well as my wood stove.They took pictures of the chimney and showed me that everything was in good shape. They swept the inside of the chimney with brushes and then vacuumed all the soot. They left everything very clean. Also, they did not charge me the full amount of the original quote because my chimney was not very dirty. I am very happy with the work and will use them again.

My appointment was set for 2 pm, however he did call around 12:15 to see if he could come earlier, according to the email instructions the window starts 30 minutes before your appointment time up to two hours. He did arrive exactly on time with an assistant. They immediately started to work, on the roof, basement and finally the woodstove. They toook the device apart and cleaned it. Because it is our first year with a woodstove he took the time to give us instructions on how to use and care for it. He was so patient with us while we took notes. Very engaging, provided good feedback and tips.

I first want to say that Justin and John with Admiralty are two of the nicest and most professional guys in the business. Just stop reading this right now and call them and then review my review. To give a quick backstory of my issue: (Moved into my house in June, had some leaking in ceiling next to chimney. As new home owners we thought nothing really of it so honestly we just painted over the stains. Three months later the stains are back. One handyman company came over and said the stains were due to humidity and are old stains and it doesn't feel wet and not worry about it. I did not feel comfortable with that. Then another handyman came over, poked a hole with his finger through same spot (showed first guy was wrong) and gave me a lot of controversial information.) Now we are at when I called Admiralty. They came on short notice due to the severe situation of all the house issues I had. Justin and John literally fixed everything possible which I am very thankful for. Cleaned the Chimney - both down to the boiler and fireplace, cleaned inside fireplace - gave ton of knowledge of how to operate the fireplace safely, they put a stainless cap onto the chimney, repaired the flashing around chimney, put a crown coat on, repointed, water sealed the whole thing and basically did everything you possible can do to fix any future leaks. They gave me so much information over the period they were here it is amazing. They honestly care about you as a home owner, they are home owners too and know what it is like. They gave me a better quote/deal than another company and they did more, did it faster and provided a ton of information too. They worked quick and efficiently and was completely professional throughout the way. I honestly wish they do other services as well because they were so awesome I wish they could do everything. I had some family over the day they were here and by the time they left it almost felt like they were family too! I highly recommend Admiralty, specifically Justin and John and I look forward to next years Chimney service! Amazing job guys!!

It worked out great! The men were very nice, cleaned up after themselves and explained why the chimney needed to be cleaned. They do an inspection before they actually cleaned. He gave me advice on how to monitor on when the next time we would need a sweep.

Excellent work provided. Contractors showed up on time, completed the work in half the time the original estimate indicated, and the work looks excellent. John also repaired a small section of masonry inside the house at no additional charge. Would highly recommend.

They arrived on time, early in fact. Inspected the chimneys and added wire screening to the caps for each pipe because I'd had a bird get in one. Told me I didn't need a cleaning. I would certainly use them again next time I need it.

The contractor came to provide an estimate ahead of a snow storm in January. He provided me with guidance to be able to use my fireplace for the winter until it warmed up enough for them to restore the chimney. He did not charge me for the inspection and estimate which I was not expecting. The work was scheduled for April 28&29. The contractor showed up on the days scheduled, performed the necessary work and the cost was exactly what the estimate called out with no additional work needed. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I have scheduled an annual inspection with them to prevent any further deterioration.

Mr John Butler and his assistant came early which for me was a plus...gave an excellent overview of work to be performed as well as how to care for my fireplace and things to look for in the future to keep it in tip top shape. Would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone needing a good fireplace inspection and cleaning. Great company and super service......

I am in the process of selling my home and the buyers asked that the chimney be cleaned as part of the deal. I chose Admiralty Chimney based on the reviews on Angie's List. I called and spoke to Heather to set up the appointment. Explained that I wanted to have the chimney cleaned. She asked how many flues and I explained that I had one that was for the fireplace and a second for my oil furnace. She asked if I wanted them both inspected. I said that I really only needed the fireplace chimney cleaned but she replied that an inspection was part of their process and that they normally inspect both. I asked how much it would cost and was told that it would be $125 for the inspection and $75 for the cleaning. This was about 10% more than another company I had called, but decided to proceed based on the excellent reviews. My appointment was for 12 noon, but we received a call the day before that they would arrive at 11:30. They ended up arriving at noon, did a quick inspection of everything, and cleaned the chimney. While I was not home, my wife said their work took about 30 minutes and the write-up of their report on their computer took another 30 minutes. My wife called to let me know that she wrote a check for the service which came to $300. I immediately called Heather at their office number and told her that I was expected a charge of $200 per our conversation when we set up the appointment. She advised me that they charged $125 to inspect one flue, $75 to clean the chimney and that they offered me a discount of $100 to inspect the other flue. (Meanwhile, the inspection paperwork lists the inspection fee as $100 and the cleaning of $200). I told her that I didn't realize there was another charge to inspect the second flue and would not have had them do that had I known or been told that when I set up the appointment. Heather was very professional and polite and asked if I wanted them to refund the $100. She was so polite that she caught me off guard, so I responded that I would think that it would be fair to have $50 refunded since they did do the work. She said she would talk to the owner and get back to me (I didn't realize until talking to my wife that an inspection involved a few minutes worth of work). I did not get a call the next day on 7/9. The morning of 7/10, I left another message first thing in the morning to touch base, but have not yet heard back from them. At this point, although they seemed professional during the cleaning, the miscommunication during the appointment being scheduled, the varying amounts of what they quote and then charge for and the lack of follow-up taints my impression of the company. I hope that this is simply a matter of miscommunication, but I don't think I will use them to clean the chimney at my new house (which I was prepared to do before this happened).

I contacted Admiralty previously to have an inspection done on the chimney and gas vent. He found problems in the Chimney namely a cracked flue and some broken brick. I scheduled a day for them to come over and get the job done. They arrived on the day promised, did all of the work required and left the place as it was. All they needed was power and a water source. The job looks fantastic, you can't tell where the repair starts and stops. Now the price may be a little more than some, but like everything in this world, you get what you pay for. You could hire some slop jockey to do a to do a piecemeal job, but it probably wouldn't last very long and might not be very safe. And then you'd be all over again having repair work on in your chimney. Admiralty does the job properly so you know that it will last and it will be completely safe. I fully recommend Admiralty further inspection and their repair work I would hire them again in a second.

I had admiralty inspect my chimneys, gas vents and two fireplaces. They showed up and got right to work. They were friendly, professional and very thorough. They told me that cleaning wasn't needed and all of the openings were clear. They did find a crank in a flue tile and some brickwork that will need to be done. Pictures were even taken of the damage to show me the problem area. I told them to schedule a time and they have the job. They are scheduled for the end of June. I will write a review after they complete this work. They are friendly, honest and professional. They know their job and understand the value of the service they provide. Scheduled a cleaning and inspection. After he performed the inspection he let us know that the cleaning was not necessary at this time...so he didn't clean it and didn't charge us (just charged the inspection fee). Very honest and very knowledgeable, will definitely use their services again.

Jason from Admiralty Chimney performed a full inspection of our fireplace, chimney and wood stove. It was so clean, it didn't need a cleaning, so we didn't have to pay for that service. There was an issue with the fire place masonry (we're selling the house and it needed to pass inspection), and Jason recommended a simple and affordable fix. Schedule it for another day (needed to order a part and wait for it to come in). Because of the house sale timetable, Jason came back over to fix the issue even though he technically wasn't working that day. Excellent service, great work and very affordable. Would absolutely recommend them!

Admiralty Chimney was very professional and personable. They were knowledgeable and very upfront about the work that needed to be done. We felt their price was fair for the work done. We plan on using them going forward for our fireplace needs.
