Sky's Carpentry on Lake Winnipesaukee LLC

I wrote the C review. 3 years later, the windows leak every year and there is a leak in another room under the roofing that Sean "fixed." I have just learned that there are holes (where he put his scaffolding) above the leaking area. The windows were new and the only leaks are below the holes. I have spoken to other roofers who say it was a very poor job and should be redone.

Got a quoted. He was professional and seemed well informed. The cost was fair, but much more than the company I chose. The scope of work was the same. Sky could not do the job until the fall when they schedule their roofing jobs.

Better that I could have imagined. Shaun was very quick to respond to any calls and emails, very good/nice guy who really knew what he was doing. His crew was so clean in their work, so detail oriented, and worked together as a team, almost like a machine. I would no question use Sky Carpentry for any work I need in the future. I was so impressed and am so happy with the outcome. Thanks Shaun and the guys at Sky Carpentry!

I was thrilled with them and the way they handled their inclusion into our home. Until the next bad winter, I will not know about the quality of the roof repairs. The last of the job was the ceiling and he was done. He left. The ceiling in our open family room, dining and kitchen was horrible. The ceiling looked like it had been finished by a twelve year old. He said he could not find anyone to redo it. I finally found someone. The window repair didn't hold. It leaked despite the mild winter. The insurance company and their adjuster said his price was way out of line (they are a fine company that I have worked with before ). I realized this myself when his quote for further work (my porch ceiling) was $5k and another reliable contractor I've used before came in at $1k.

I could not be more happy with their roofing and painting work. Every aspect of the job?bidding, start of job, job itself, end of job, cleanup?exceeded the highest expectations. The men are courteous, professional, diligent, and extremely hard-working. I will work with them again, eagerly and soon.

We collected 3 quotes to replace 20 years old roof. Shaun quickly went to the site, did all measurements and emailed me the thorough quote which was a tad less then other best quote. I usually don't hire a contractor simply because his/hers price is less than others. In case of Sky Carpentry, we had a small positive experience with them so my decision was easy. And in the end we are very glad we went with them. Job was done promptly and in a timely manner. Site was kept clean and when they were done it was like nothing happen but a new roof. Hire them with no doubts.

We had a lot of water problems with an old foundation for decades in cottage. Shaun immediately brought in a basement water proofing company to do an estimate before any of the work was started. They did a great job. Then Sky started the reno right away after waterproofing was complete - and really pushed to get it ready enough for a rental in mid July. Shaun is extremely responsive, always reachable, and his crew is amazing. Highest recommendation - cant wait to have them back to do more!

I talked to the owner and he went to check the issue of the roof that I was asking him to take a look at. He was very professional. He was quick to check the property. He was clearly a very disciplined, organized contractor. He returned calls immediately and he returned the estimate quickly. We never did use him, but the reason I called him, was because I saw other good reports on him. Actually I called him a couple of times with questions and he was always communicating well.

He is great guy. He's very thorough and does a good job. He works towards customer satisfaction and always take that extra step to make sure you're happy. He's a very good carpenter and very cooperative.

He didn’t sell us on too much: he just fixed what was necessary, put the composite where it was necessary. He could have sold us much more, but we didn’t need it and he was honest about that. We were really happy with what he did and we were glad that we had called him. He talked with my husband and really broke it down. He told us what it would cost and that's what he charged us. He was honest and upfront; he went around the whole house and said he could do the whole thing but he really didn't think we would need it though it could be added later at any time. He was very personable and thoughtful, he will give you his overall assessment. We would hire him again.

It was great. From the initial visit and estimate to the finish, the job was tip top professional. We had house guests from Seattle vacationing at our home while the work was being done. Every day the team showed up on time, dedicated themselves to long days, and as unobtrusively as possible got the job done and done well. Every day the site was tidied well beyond our expectations. The team was professional at all times in their work and their personal conduct. The pricing was very fair and was presented with detailed costs making it very transparent. When issues arose with problems with the surface beneath existing shingles, Shaun clearly explained our options and the prices associated with them. We have confidence in Sky's Carpentry and look forward to having them back for our pending projects.

Shaun pulled together an estimate very quickly, went over in detail with us what he thought needed to be done and was very clear on what aspects of the job might need to be expanded - there was a lot in the basement you couldn't see. He was incredibly responsive during the work, kept us updated - as the house was vacant for much of the time - finished on time and under budget. The final result is great, its a completely different space now and without the dampness, the furnace works better and the house feels much lighter.

He did a great job. He came out promptly, gave us a good estimate, arrived on time, did everything he indicated. He made good suggestions for materials and finishes, and he really did a professional job. He was very thorough and conscientious in the work he did.

The job was spread out over a period of a couple of months. Mr. Yanuszewski accommodated a number of design changes professionally. He suggested and implemented ways that I could save money and still get what I wanted. He was open to advances in remodeling practice and materials, adding new knowledge to his professional qualifications.

We are an older couple and there was a rain storm forcasted for later in the week. They did the job in two and a half days, which we were pleased with. I then had my woodstove cleaned and asked them to make sure the shingles and roof pipe was okay before I began to use it. He said the flashing on the roof looks very good. I needed someone else's opinion other than my own. I am pleased with the results.
