New England Window Washers

I submitted a request for an estimate on the New England Window Washers website on October 12 for an exterior only window and door washing. I received a call the next morning with an estimate of $200. However, the only day they had available this season was the day before Thanksgiving. I said I won?t be home that day and will wait until springtime. I asked to be put on a waiting list in case there was a cancellation. Two days later on October 15, I received a call that they were just finishing a job and can do my windows arriving about noontime. I accepted that schedule. David and Zack arrived promptly at noon, scoped out the job and began work right away. They were efficient and did an excellent job. It took them about an hour. When they finished, David asked me to walk around the house to be sure everything was OK. I was pleased with everything. However, I thought they were a bit pricey. That?s about $100 per hour per person not counting travel time to my home (about 15-20 minutes). I have 24 double hung windows (13 on the second floor and 11 on the first floor), a patio door, a French door and an entrance storm door. Therefore, that?s about $5-6 per window.

Very good service. David and his assistant Zack showed up on time and got right to work. I mentioned that we were doing the work in preparation for a move, to show the house better, and David gave some useful tips on how to show the windows to their best effect, e.g., remove and store the screens. My only regret is not having this done earlier. It made a big difference.
