Amazing team. I interacted with about a half dozen individuals and every one of them was professional and courteous. They even setup the panels in their shop so I could stop by at my convenience and paint them prior to the install. When I first called they mentioned a 5% Angie's list discount. When they sent out an estimator we both forgot about the discount and I paid in full. Their team caught the overpayment after the fact and went out of their way to refund the balance. All work was performed as scheduled and exceeded expectations. Absolute pleasure to work with. I just wish they offered more services as I would love to use them more often.

After searching Angie's List for local reputable garage door companies, we decided to call FIMBEL Garage Doors to see what they could do for us. The salesperson was on the phone with another customer, but called us back within 15 minutes. He was very friendly and polite, conveyed no sense of pressure or "hard sell" and explained the options to us, from inexpensive to top-of-the-line crazy expensive. He e-mailed us a brochure and we picked a couple options that we liked. The next Wednesday, my wife and I stopped by their well appointed showroom to talk with another salesperson. She acknowledged our choices, but guided us toward a slightly less expensive and higher quality garage door style and composition (who knew better and cheaper could co-exist?). She said it was by far their most popular model. And being a geek, I wanted the top MyQ "smart" connected, belt-driven, DC motored, nearly silent garage door openers: the Liftmaster Elite Series 8550. Mr. Fimbel, the company owner, swung by the house the very next Monday to survey our install. After spending 10 minutes with a tape measure, and another 10 talking about muscle cars, he asked if we had any questions. I simply asked, "When can you start?" He called the home office, asked if I'd be paying by check, then said he could fit me in on Wednesday, two days later. Anyone who has dealt with contractors or home-based installations can affirm that this is AMAZING responsiveness. I said yes, and yes, and by 1pm Wednesday, we had the highest tech, quietest and most beautiful garage doors installed and running. The installer even mated my wife's car to the new garage door openers and confirmed everything was working perfectly. I highly recommend FIMBEL Garage Doors to anyone in the area.

When I came home to find one of my garage door cables had snapped, I was upset. I called Fimbel based on a recommendation from a family member. They were extremely polite and helpful on the phone and were able to get someone out to the house later in the day. While they could have only replaced the obviously broken cable, they were proactive in pointing out to me that the springs and wheels for the same garage door were also in need of replacement, which I appreciated--better to fix things now, then wait for another disaster! I was very pleased with the helpful assessment, professionalism, and courtesy. I would definitely hire Fimbel again and would recommend to anyone else needing garage door repair or replacement.

Punctual, efficient, performed work effectively and quickly

After years of pulling the garage doors up and down (and always having one that would come crashing down if we didn't clamp it open) we decided to finally get garage doors installed. Best decision ever. I spoke with Finbel on two occasions asking lots of questions and was satisfied with the answers. I was able to get an appt within a week for install. The installer arrived on time and was professional and courteous. I had lots of questions for him as he went about installing and even after the install. He was well versed in his trade and answered all my questions in a friendly manner. After he finished the work, he went over some need-to- know items. I was very pleased with the look of the openers and the way the wires and buttons were installed. We purchased one of their newer chain models and it is incredibly quiet. The only way I can hear it in the house is if the TV is off and no other machines are running. Very happy with this company and would recommend to anyone.

I thought I needed a new garage door motor and contracted to have a new one installed. When the installation technicians arrived they found that all that was needed was a few new parts which they installed. In stead of costing me $365 it cost me $162.45 parts and labor. If they had not pointed out the ease of repair I would have gone ahead with the new motor.

Quick service and cost less than what I could do for myself. Would hire anytime.

The service technician - Chris - was GREAT. He was knowledgeable, skilled, and took the time to answer my questions and offer advice - REALLY GOOD service experience - A+. I will recommend this company on this alone. As this was the second call in a few weeks for the same problem, Chris said that I would have to pay for the circuit board, but not a second service call (which seemed very fair to me). Now the bad news - Jackie from the Epping office calls the next day and insists that I pay for the service call as well - she actually said she would take me to court !!! even after I explained to her that Chris said that I would only need pay for the replacement circuit board since I just payed for a service call a few weeks ago for the same problem - WOW !! Overall : GREAT field service, Fimbel does a great job technically BUT in my experience customer service for this repair was really poor.

This company was great from my initial contact for an estimate to replace my worn out garage door through their installation of the door. i was most impressed with their turn around time. I contacted them mid-morning and someone was at my home early afternoon. I found their cost quite reasonable and they were able to match the unique style and color of my original door without any problem at all. The new door looks great, works great and is so quiet compared to my old one.

Overall, very pleased with the product and service, even though there were a couple of issues that were readily resolved. Visited Fimbel's showroom in Merrimack NH initially by myself to see their models and gather some information including initial estimates. Staff was helpful. Went back to the showroom a few days later with my wife to select what we wanted. Met with the company president Carl Fimbel. He personally came by our house the next morning to take measurements, see what would be required for the job, answer all our questions, give us a final estimate, and take the order (he gave us a price discount). Job was scheduled for ~10 days later. A single installer was scheduled for Monday 3 June 2013 at noon for about a 4 hour job. However, his truck broke down on the way to our house. Fimbel's called to tell us about the delay, sent a a truck to the broken down vehicle, transferred the garage doors to the 2nd vehicle and two installers instead of just one showed up no more than one hour late. Despite the delay in starting, they still finished the complete installation before 4PM as initially scheduled to include reconnecting to the garage door openers and testing. While unpacking and unloading the panels for the doors, the installers noted to me that one of the glass panes in one of the panels was cracked and they notified their main office about the issue. Plan was to complete the installation with the cracked glass pane and then replace the either window panel of the door with the broken pane at a later date. Two days later two Fimbel's installers were at my house (about 30 minutes late -- I had to call their office to make sure they were coming) replacing the entire panel (instead of just the craked glass) and were done within about 30 minutes. No hassles to get the panel replaced -- Fimble's steped right up to fix the problem. New Garage Doors look and work GREAT. We are very pleased. This was the 1st time we've ever had to buy Garage Door and it worked out great. Fimble's was also the Garage Door contractor of choice for several of our neighbors.

They were good. They have reasonable prices.

They’re neat and were wonderful. Carl, the owner, and his sons told me not to worry. If anything went wrong they would help me. They were the nicest people we ever met. My sister and aunt also had them do work and they found them wonderful too. They put in whatever you want and will stand with you and tell you how to operate the door. They help you. They were professional and it didn’t take long.

Showroom is very good, sales people were helpful. Replacement doors are high quality. Workmanship was top notch. Some slight issues with scheduling but overall a good experience.
