Gaudet Inspections

Excellent! Steve was incredibly thorough in our home inspection. He took the time to really look through everything and was patient in explaining what it meant and what the possible implications might be. Even after the inspection, he answered follow up questions over the phone about things we hadn't thought to ask the day of. His turn around time on the report was unreal- He had our 40+ page report to us in less than 5 hours! He noticed so many small things that I think others would overlook. We feel confident in the inspection and will definitely use him again if we move and will certainly be recommending him to anyone we know buying a house!

Inspection revealed issues with exterior that were more extensive than we realized. Saved our family a lot of heartache and money in the long run to know it was not worth purchasing. He pointed out other interior issues and because the outside was so bad we had the inspection cut short. He gave us a break on the full price. It was well worth the price for the inspection performed and report provided.

Steve was amazing! First he was extremely thorough during our home inspection, had lots of tips/pointers/suggestions in addition to the actual inspection itself (i.e. using the public library to access consumer reports to find out the best of various categories of home-related items; avoiding particular companies based on past bad experience, etc). But even before we'd cut him a check or met him for the inspection, he went above and beyond due to our tight timeline. He was able to collect water sample and place radon tests at the property the weekend before our inspection and managed to squeeze us in a day earlier than originally planned so that we would have plenty of time to go back to our sellers with any issues uncovered during inspection. Then, on the day of the inspection, due to my miscommunication with him we were going to be short on the septic inspection (which he usually coordinates). However, he was able to make a phone call to the company and get someone out the same day for us to complete the septic inspection. So even though it was my fault we didn't have the septic inspection lined up as I thought we did, he was able to help us out. I can't say enough great things about Steve's inspection and would certainly recommend him to anybody looking for a home inspection in the area. Extremely knowledgeable, thorough and helpful all around! Whenever we buy our next home we would certainly call Steve again!

Steve was great, he accommodated my schedule on short notice and did a very thorough job! He even took the time to explain different things to me, as this is my first time owning a home and I don't know much about things like heating systems or where all the water and gas valves are. :) I was very grateful he took the time to give me a mini lesson on these things as he went through the inspection. I found Gaudet Home Inspections on yelp and went with him based on all of the positive reviews and I am very glad I did. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an inspection!!

Steve was fantastic! He spent over 3 hours at the home checking out every single detail he could. The house was built in 1933 and still had a lot of original features and some odd quirks here and there. The IR gun he uses to check temperatures was extremely useful, I thought insulation would be needed but to my surprise, with the use of the gun, we found the walls to be well insulated . He answered all of my questions with patience and honesty. This is my first time buying a home and he was very reassuring through the whole process. He promptly got me an extremely detailed report with photos and lots of useful information. When he didn't know the answer to a question he called up a qualified service provider and had the answer to me by that night. I highly recommend him.

It was a telling and thorough inspection with information we could use to make sure the house was up to par prior to closing.
